I'm not sure. The script calls the TakeDamage function on whatever it hits, which both damages and sets the target on fire. I haven't tested what happens when calling it with 0 damage. It's also based on a melee weapon, and the melee damage can't be disabled completely if I remember right. Also note that being set on fire will instantly kill common infected.

@Rectus Hi, please help me. I downloaded the mod and went to single player mode and everything is working. Then I invited a friend and we went to friends mode, but the weapons don't spawn. I also have a question about the mod's functionality in realism mode.

If the flame has no range, the script isn't running. Try disabling any other script mods.

It's been forever since I checked how it works with servers, I can't remember anymore how it worked. It sounds like the server might not be loading addon VPKs on the official maps. You could try unpacking the addons and see if that makes it load them.

I looked at it and can't seem to replicate it on a listen server at least. I'm guessing something is deleting and recreating the weapon entity, not preserving the script state. I'm not sure if that is fixable on the VScript side. Does it still happen on a vanilla dedicated server without any other mods?

Thanks for reporting it. I'm not actively working on L4D2 mods though, so I'm, not really looking to fix issues unless they are game-breaking.

can you fix glitch: spam idle, afk and joint game to get infinity ammo for m72 and flamethrower. this trick can give them refill ammo of m72 and flamethrower

NGL i like the flamethrower. but the animation is just horrible when walking, shoving, and using the weapon..

Use the flamethrower until is empty and drops on the ground. Then you can fill it the same way as you fill up cars or generators.

@ᴍ ᴀ ʀ ᴋ ʏ [ITA] , you can try the flamethrower variant that I modified with grenade launcher base skin if you simply just want flamethrower to show up:

My variant is a standalone version that replaces knife, & it no longer needs custom weapon base as I already wrapped Rectus's custom weapon base (only for this flamethrower variant) inside, & I also renamed the files so it won't conflict with other custom weapon base mods.

It's a shame it conflicts with the Didgeridoo and Riot Shield unlocker. (Specifically the ''Custom Weapon Base'', not the Flamethrower itself.) Would've been cool to have multiple custom weapons in-game.

Nope, just a few per map. If it doesn't spawn, make sure you are playing on a local server on a stock campaign.

It's implemented as a melee weapon with scripting for the extra features. There is no support for putting melee weapons in other slots and very limited support how changing how it spawns.

It's not possible to make it a primary weapon, and it does use ammo. The pressure gauge shows the ammo left.

This is not as good as it could be. It should be a primary weapon, and it should have the same gas based "ammo" as the chainsaw. As is right now, it is too strong.
