I was excited about the potential conversion to SSE eversince the SSE release. You indicated
in the past that you would look into into the feasability. I realize that something like this takes a lot
of personal time but it is highly appreciated by your mod subscribers.
This is truly the most wonderful mod. Thanks again.
also if it will be made avalible will it be compatible with the "frostfall" and "campfire" mods; if it can be it would make a very welcome addition to the over all immersion of those mods due to the survival aspect and the whole re-construction aspect of this otherwise flawless mod.
let me know as i miss this amazing mod and feel the loss everytime i play SKSE
1.) replace the chair by the door with the throne by the fire
2.) bigger garden area
3.) small quest and backstory for the cabin which brings in why there is also a small unmarked grave near it
Thanks very much! This is the mod I personally use every time I play. It's my daughters' favourite mod as well (they don't actually get to play, just watch sometimes). It took me ages! It will be the first one I transfer to SE.
Just wanted to post to agree with all the positive comments from other people here, I really like this mod. I have been looking for ages for a simple home that you can use right from the beginning of the game and this one is perfect, not too difficult to get for a level 1 character but still requiring a little bit of work and time to completely upgrade.
Thanks again for all your hard work. Thanks! :)
Thank you for the absolutely lovely compliment. Sorry I missed reading it until now. This is my favourite mod of my own to play. It always fills me will a keen sense of anticipation every time I "discover" the cabin anew. I've recently upgraded my graphics card and can now actually run SE. I will look into what it will take to make the conversion.
Sorry I missed your comment. Yes, there is one glitchy wall still. I need to add a collision box. I will do this eventually...before I put it on Nexus or upgrade to SE (now that I can run SE)
I use it myself every play-through. I just think it's the most fun and satisfying mod I made. Glad you like it too.
Yes, thanks for asking...go to my profile and look under mods`. I`ve got a handful of other fun house-type mods, and my first Quest mod.
Thanks very much! It's my favourite too. I use it for every playthrough. I love to watch the rain.
Hope you're feeling better. I've tried to redo the navamesh. Creatures shouldn't fly I the windows anymore. However, I think I still need to put a collision box around the Smithy wall. When I had Brynjolf as a follower, he mannaged to walk through the wall. Creepy!
Unfortunitely the mod really requires Hearthfires and the bench system...I actually did put a bench in the DLC-free Brynjolf mod, so I guess it's possible. But it's definitely a total rebuild to do so. Hearthfires is usually cheap though. And it doesn't need Dawnguard or Dragonborn.
BTW, Im Friends With DrazellaSinnanodel
You noticed! You're probably the first. My original idea was that you would be led to the cabin by the ghost of a girl child who would then ask you to find her parents. I'd started building caves and everything) I tried and tried, but wasn't advanced enough in my quest making to get the NPC to work properly. However, I've just published my first quest mod, and am working out the awkwardness of mod conflicts, etc. I will have to return it. Thanks for reminding me of this unfinished project. I nearly forgotten.
I retouched the navamesh, severing it from around the cabin's windowed walls. Though the beasties may still run in the door (acceptable immersion) they should not come in the windows (less acceptable). Hope that helps!
I'm glad you like the mod. It's my favourite for play-through's. I really love watching the rain. Ha..ha..dead deer..The real issue is that I should go back in and tweak the navamesh, making the house an obsticle. Or maybe just add collission boxes, come to think of it. Ah live and learn.
As an aside, I just finished my first quest mod. My aim is to keeps things lore-friendly while fixing the things that bugged me. In this case, it was Brynjolf in the Thieves Guild and his 'Not now Lass... (even worse than Nazeem). Anyway, I gave him ... must be more than a hundred lines of dialogue, re-cut from the original. If you like his brogue, try it out and let me know what you think. Same detail as the cabin.
I know! Isn't it wierd? It's a small error really. The navamesh is continuous and the animals don't know the house is there. At some point I need to redo the navamesh and make the house and island. You're the first one who has commented..It's on the to-do list... Happy New Year!
Glad you like it! I think this one is my favourite to play too. My daughter ( too young to actually get to play) loves Skyrim and gave me several ideas for the Breezehome mod...playing in front of your kids is funny, eh?
Thank you for sharing your work!
Thanks! Glad you like it: it's always my first abode. I'd love to upgrade the mod, but my computer's croaking under SE. I haven't even made it through the intro. I need to replace it, but it may take a while..
any plans to upgrade it to skyrim special edition ?
Hope so, because it is this mod that makes skyrim truly playable
and enjoyable. Thanks
Just made a little addition - a Player request that made a lot of sense. There is now a stone 'crucible' (a.k.a. a smelter) by the firepit to help in your initial build. Mine for ore...and smelt-away! This should allow you to accomplish the initial build with materials at hand.
I'm glad you like it. I love this place too ( and purposely didn't build any other beds for the same reason). I just wish I had one IRL.
No, not at all. You may have to leave the load area and re-enter, but that's nothing more than your next adventure or trip to the store.
Finding the bugs is very helpful, if done with tact. And you're always tactful :)
Sure enough, there were two items on the Mara shrine that were not static. I've corrected that. Thanks for telling me! Also, I added the smoke to the chimney. It was missing in this version. Thanks for that too. And I shifted the Throne slightly so a follower would get behind it.
I'll go in and look....
Thanks for trying the mod. Thanks for the feed-back regarding the chair; I'll look into this. And what can I say, the construction time is a feature, not a bug.
Thanks so much! This one was a labour of love; I hate load doors and watching the rain fall is magical. Glad you like it.
