As it is I'm learning to make that stuff IRL so 3D modelling is not a high priority.

If I were able to do stuff with models I would have so much fun, I'd add a M2 Bipod and the wood heatshield, The other M2 bipod attached to the Muzzle of the M15 and the grenade launcher, M14A1 compensator, bayonet, M14A1 stocks and other stuff. I'd have a good time.

well the SKS-D is usually fine, but some original ones that were converted with a special magazine for export required the removal of parts that made it unreliable, and often times these days people recomend that you just stick with the 10 rounder or 20 rounder mags that come standard (if you want to know more about really any SKS, than go to the website "Yooper John" its got quite a lot of info)

I'll admit I'm not too well versed on the SKS-D or SKSes in general, but i've never heard anything massively negative about the SKS-D.

It's a properly manufactured variant, so I wouldn't really call it jury rigged.

Same concept, but unrelated development. The Italians pretty much just stuck a detachable magazine in an M1, the M14's development was a bit more complex and involved a few more changes.

I don't do requests, and I'm not particuarily interested in WW2 era weapons, sorry.
There's a good chance i'll be doing an M3A1 as part of a future project, but that's about as close to WW2 weapons as I'm likely to get.

@GB_General Major Nicholas, I've already done a pack of M16s and other oldschool AR-15s. I'm never doing modern ARs.

@Alexis Lerouge, I'm sure other people have already done that.

@American Opossum, I kind of prefer to make production versions of things rather than prototypes, partly because it's a pain in the ass to find the parts for a lot of the prototypes.

There is an M14E2 grip in Black Ops, but the quality isn't so great and I'd have to do a lot of work to the stock. I've literally never heard of the M15 before now, and having looked it up, it doesn't really look all that different to the M14.

Most of the models on the CS:GO pack were actually at, if not close to the bodygroup limit. The M249 was going to have optics untill I hit the limit and had to remove them. These M14s have a lot more bodygrouped stuff than most of the CS:GO weapons did.

And I really don't know what to suggest. I know it's not a particuarily helpful answer, but it works fine for me.

The way I attach them is to spawn both rifle and attachment effect, set bodygroups on the attachment effect, select the bonemerge tool, right click the rifle, left click the effect, and they should merge.

There's a limit as to how many bodygroups you can have, and I'd very nearly hit that limit with just the movable parts and different furniture options.

I'd sooner not bother to include scopes and suppressors at all than to remove features from the rifle to make room for them, so I made the attachments bonemergeable instead.

Make sure you're using this bonemerge tool. It's the one I use, and the only one I test these with.

the bonemerge tool seems to be completely broken. No matter what attackments I try or what format I try to merge them in they never appear on the rifle.

Is there a way to go back to the old bodygroup way of attaching things? That worked fine, why the change to effects?

The scopes are included with the bonemergeable attachments. You need the bonemerge tool to use them.

Set the bodygroups on the attachment model, then merge it to the rifles.
