yes, but, you need wait good time for that "crusade's time", if you don't want wait, go to second mod "Vatican", you can launch crusade anytime.

How do I launch a crusade? it is currently early 1100s in my game and I have the option to launch them but it keeps saying that the Catholic crusading era hasn't begun yet. Is this a bug or am I just an impatient fuck?

@Inspectiright2 You need Sons of Abraham DLC expansion to see the College of Cardinals since it is part of the Papal Succession type. Otherwise, you will just be getting a random NPC as your next ruler when playing as the Pope.
@TrueCookieKing Because of how CK2's succession works, there's a part of this mod that allows for non-dynastic heirs to be played.

How do you see the college of cardinals? and also every time i create a crusade and it succeeds it does not allow me to create another crusade later.

@metal izanagi it desynch when it says pope has no hair and he dies olso i think the mod olso blocks other players from being able to game over they yust switch to a new family

A desynch? As in with multiplayer? I've mentioned it before, but I wouldn't expect multiplayer to work very well with this mod, honestly. I've had some people say it works fine for them and their friends, and others report stuff like desynchs and some of the mechanics not working properly. I tried to test the mod in multiplayer a few times over the years, and most of the time I couldn't even get it to start a game. Sorry about that. :/

@Metal Izanagi I know this is how it's supposed to work, I read all your guides and everything. I tried my own bishops, I summoned other bishops, but the Honorary Title of "Cardinal" isn't there. It's not among the honorary titles in the panel where I'm appointing Commanders and other honorary staff members.

The Pope was quite powerful in the time period of CK2, and while it's possible for a player to game the system by just going crazy with murder and war, this can make the game world quite boring. Instead I encourage players to roleplay their Pope, and act as they would. A truly virtuous Pope should keep little wealth for himself or for military purposes, and instead spend much of it aiding the Catholic rulers around him, keeping their opinion of him high with gifts, and aiding them in wars against opposing faiths through the use of mercenaries. Of course it's different if the player chooses to elect sinful priests to the College of Cardinals, and they could behave in rather immoral ways akin to the Borgias.

To appoint a Cardinal, you have to select either a Catholic Bishop in your own territory(A character whose primary holding is a church. They'll have religious vestments on their portrait) or a Catholic Bishop in someone else's territory.

If you select one of your own Bishops you should be able to grant them the Honorary Title of Cardinal outright.

If you select a Bishop who is outside of your realm, you'll need to pause the game, right-click the portrait of the character you wish to make a Cardinal, and select the "Summon" option. Don't close the message box or unpause the game yet; instead go to your court and the character you summoned will already be there. Right-click them again and you should be able to give them the Honorary Title of Cardinal. Once this is done, select the "Send them back" option in the message box that popped up when you first summoned the character. Unpause the game and they will be back in their court with the Cardinal appointment.

Pope is to strong and the player on it can yust threten anybody plot to kil while no way others to fight back couse he will allways get a new guy

I cannot appoint cardinals. There is no minor title option to do that. Can you help me how to solve this problem?

it might couse players to be unable to die they yust switch dynasty we had other mods so i might be wrong

Unfortunately that's a bit out of my depth right now. I've looked into it a bit, but I honestly just don't know enough about how the knightly orders work in-game to do anything with them at the moment. I've stopped focusing so much on modding for now, but when I get back to this I'll at least take a look at the orders and see if I can do anything.

Well...possibly? I'm not sure how cracked DLC works, but depending on how it's done that could possibly cause problems yeah.

...Huh. I use the water and borders mod myself, and both A Revolutionary Font Mod and Visible Health and Fertility shouldn't have any effect on the game...I'm going to test something real quick, I'm really sorry about this bug you're encountering. I'll try and fix this.

That's...really strange. Not being able to select the Pope from the character selection screen hasn't been an issue with the mod for a while now. Could you maybe list what other mods you're using?

Only mods I have are just map mods, when I enter the game and try to pick the Pope, it is just as in the vanila game: not allowed to play Theocracies. I think if was supposed to be feudal but it is still a theocracy for some reason.

I've downloaded and installed the latest version of the mod but the game still doesn't allow me to play as the pope. What've I done wrong?
