Strange.. its telling me that I need dlc yet i have all of them.

It was more that the Enlightenment Era is compimentary to the Industrial age so we get a lot more time out of the era. Given how much of the world history that affect today really got settled during the Enlightenment & Industrial Era, they seem to go together. Plus right about when we transition from coal/steam to oil is a good stopping point.

...then again, so many games rarely make it to the information age anyway.

In some respects, I would think you'd actually want to have the game end in the Modern era given how many Civs UU are based off of rifleman. Then again, I feel that the Enlightenment Era mod mated up with a Steampunk Era mod (for the Industrial Era) would be perfect.
