Luckily the storms in TS aren't too devastating :P

Hey Joethefish, nice concept you got going here! although you may know this already, the tunnels are a sort of no go around Dawlish and Teignmouth, I also noticed that with the class 800 EP on electric mode, the tight corner after Dawlish Warren and many tight bends, include the panto-graph not being actually ON the wires at all, overall it's a nice concept, though I imagine in real life, would never be considered, partly due to storm severity at Dawlish Sea Wall.

Nice enhancement! Though...not very practical...:P

Heya! I've kinda stopped doing electrifying routes these days, just found myself enjoying new things - similar to scenarios. I'm sorry for this.

However, if you wanna give it a go yourself, it really isn't that difficult. There's a few things to learn but this tutorial should get you going should you wish to learn. :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwCGrS8yOU4

Would you be interested in electrifying a USA route? As you can imagine, there is not a lot in terms of electrified american routes. If you are interested, I would love if you could electrify Sherman hill. The concept makes sense to me; its a steep route with little curves which would make fast electric freight service ideal. Of course, no pressure because I know how much effort you have to put into the projects you do.

Here is a list of all the workshop scenarios for the route.

Joethefish  [author] Apr 21, 2021 @ 2:49pm
Feel free to do that if you wish. :)
Cyclone Apr 21, 2021 @ 2:25pm
No worries. Maybe we can do the testing for you and the patch can be set up if they work.
Joethefish  [author] Apr 21, 2021 @ 2:11pm
I sadly just don't get the available time to do much on TS these days. Work, ongoing projects take up most of my time. So I'm really sorry that I can't do this. :(
Cyclone Apr 21, 2021 @ 2:05pm
Understandable. As I said, the best way to test what a patch would do would be to run scenarios on his version, perhaps. I know Railfan did an entire series here (Exeter to Paignton Series 4), so that is a good place to find testing material.
Joethefish  [author] Apr 21, 2021 @ 11:25am
Not sure a patch would work well on the workshop. I am happy for him to do what he wants with the project. It's an old project by my current standards anyway.
Cyclone Apr 21, 2021 @ 3:49am
I have noticed the upload from graham and at first thought it was blatant plagiarism. I then noticed the comments here. Can I make a recommendation, since the route is obviously final (scenarios are on the Workshop), that you create a sort of a patch file to provide as an official update to this route instead of him making a unique post? That way, people can download your route and update it all under the same route ID instead of having a unique entry for new speed limits and signals. It means scenarios, which should be tested before a patch is done, can be confirmed to work on his version and continue to work on the updated route.

Dear Joethefish,
Do you like the story?
Joethefish  [author] Apr 11, 2021 @ 9:16am
I'd say that's a plentiful amount of images. Thanks for the credit! :D:
grahamritchie800 Apr 11, 2021 @ 7:20am
Dear Joethefish,
I have Upload the route to Steam and I have Credited you and Linked to this Page.
The route is this Link here. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2453968204
Before you say I know that More images should Be added and That the Quick Drive will need Improvements.
Joethefish  [author] Apr 10, 2021 @ 5:54am
Yeah mate enjoy
grahamritchie800 Apr 10, 2021 @ 4:46am
Dear Joethefish,
Can I make a version of this route and put LED signals and increase the Line speed to 115+MPH on the 100 MPH part of the Line? I will give you credit and I will Link to this Page.
Joethefish  [author] Apr 10, 2021 @ 4:17am
And when you get them, you can upload them to your workshop page to better show off your project.
grahamritchie800 Apr 10, 2021 @ 4:05am
Dear Joethefish,
I have not hot very many screen shots of the route at the current time but I will take some of each station when they are done.
Joethefish  [author] Apr 10, 2021 @ 3:31am
Oh, thank you sir! Might come in very hand on my current project.
grahamritchie800 Apr 10, 2021 @ 3:22am
Thank You Joethefish,
Signals are quite easy and there are quite a few good tutorials. I know they are old but the laying of signals has not really changed. Here is one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z7oxkxX6d4w , https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOQL1AkKoYg&t=2049s , https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1Bq205FBibWq0WZGckHklNoPthzhJ034 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9HM-UFWe7xs
Joethefish  [author] Apr 10, 2021 @ 3:16am
At the time I don't know how to do signals. Not really one of my strengths even now actually.

It's cool you did Wherry Lines though!

May I suggest... If you put some gaps in your description to form paragraphs, it may get more downloads. As it is at the moment, people may turn away from reading it quite quickly.

Another thing you can do is upload additional screenshots otherwise fewer people may download it.

Just a suggestion!
grahamritchie800 Apr 10, 2021 @ 3:05am
The Wherry Lines Modernised and Partly electrified and they has been speed improvements from 60 mph to 100 mph and resignalling with 4 aspect signals on the line from Norwich to Reedham, With a new passing Loop at Berney arms with 3 aspect signalling and good old semaphore signalling at Acle witch will remain to show how it works on Network Rail. The link to the page is here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2452422262
grahamritchie800 Apr 9, 2021 @ 2:55pm
Dear Joethefish and VirtualCanvas39,
I am working on a Wherry lines OLE route. Witch will be released in not to long.
grahamritchie800 Apr 9, 2021 @ 2:49pm
Dear Joethefish,
They would have made the signals LED and most likely 4 aspect on the mainline and 3 aspect on the Paignton branch with line speed upgrades like 115 mph on the current 100 mph.
Joethefish  [author] Dec 29, 2020 @ 10:52am
Just the North London Line revamp for the moment. As I said below I am also doing a Hamburg S1 but not sure if that will continue yet. You can check out the progress here of you're interested: https://www.facebook.com/JoethefishWorkshop
Viper-CT Dec 29, 2020 @ 8:45am
Any other routes planned? Try electrifying the wherry lines! (Modernise it) :steamhappy:
British Rail Productions Apr 30, 2020 @ 12:56pm
i see
Joethefish  [author] Apr 30, 2020 @ 11:01am
I'm doing an OHLE revamp of the North London and Goblin route, as well as a lighting enhancement for the Hamburg S1 route.

You can see some images of its progress here: https://www.facebook.com/JoethefishWorkshop/
British Rail Productions Apr 30, 2020 @ 8:12am
Joethefish and these routes would be?
Joethefish  [author] Apr 27, 2020 @ 10:20am
Okay mate I'll consider it, still gotta get current projects out of the way.
British Rail Productions Apr 27, 2020 @ 8:13am
Joethefish no there is two South Wales Coastals Bristol to Cardiff which is pointless and has already been Electrified and South Wales Coastal Bristol to Swansea that hasn't been Electrified in TS yet.
Joethefish  [author] Apr 20, 2020 @ 3:41pm
I thought it was only going as far as Cardiff anyway?
British Rail Productions Apr 19, 2020 @ 10:16am
Joethefish that would be most appreciated and um Bristol to Swansea not Bristol to Cardiff as it has already been done.
Joethefish  [author] Apr 16, 2020 @ 10:34am
Then I'll simply make two versions lol
British Rail Productions Apr 16, 2020 @ 10:12am
Joethefish i'd prefer you to use the Overhead wires that you used on Riviera Line simply because for some of us we have trouble with downloading certain things.
Joethefish  [author] Apr 16, 2020 @ 9:31am
Glad you like them mate! Hoping to do the SWC one day with the ATS OHLE pack using Series 1 type OHLE. I just a couple of projects to do first atm.
British Rail Productions Apr 16, 2020 @ 8:16am
Joethefish could you do South Wales Coastal: Bristol TM to Swansea Please as I enjoyed driving the Route and just to let you know I also enjoyed Riviera Line Electrified keep up the good work.
Joethefish  [author] Jan 10, 2020 @ 5:39pm
Hello! Sorry for the late reply. Firstly, thanks! Secondly, no I don't know of any electrified versions of the NWC. Sorry!
trainlad024 Jan 1, 2020 @ 2:36pm
Hi. I love these electrified routes. Do you know if anybody has done a North Wales Coastal electrified? keep up the good work!
Joethefish  [author] Sep 1, 2019 @ 10:17am
I can, it's just an outdated route like that would need a lot more than just OHLE on its own to make it worth it.
Sergeant Logie Sep 1, 2019 @ 10:02am
Ok, i thought you maybe be able to electrify the DTG one.
Joethefish  [author] Sep 1, 2019 @ 9:19am
Hi Logie, I think there are efforts to electrify JT's WML which is a better choice because the route is set much more closely to when it gets electrified.
Sergeant Logie Sep 1, 2019 @ 8:28am
Hi, please can you do a Paddington to Oxford electrified? From Logie
Joethefish  [author] Nov 11, 2018 @ 6:09pm
Thanks Gary!
garyd Nov 11, 2018 @ 5:08pm
Thanks Joe its great and runs very smooth thanks again.
JeThro Oct 26, 2018 @ 5:20am
its worked cheers the Upload is called Upgrade of Riviera Line its on the Steam Workshop or click on my profile if you want to check it out
Joethefish  [author] Oct 26, 2018 @ 4:31am
Yeah just clone the original, and do your improvements. Make sure you use assets only on steam and you also need to make new quick drive scenarios. Once that's all done, you should be able to upload.
JeThro Oct 26, 2018 @ 2:34am
how did you do this did you just clone the Riviera Line then just added cables above the tracks and say right you will do upload it to steam workshop. bescause im trying to upload my clone of the riviera line to steam workshop.
Joethefish  [author] Jun 5, 2018 @ 1:49pm
Thanks Roland!
