I'm also getting issues with Lich II not being able to receive healing. I've tried the spell and it still doesn't work. Any ideas on this?

The computer can't use or doesn't prioritize the "True Undead Heroes and Vampires" and I think it crashed my game when it tried to heal it's hero.

So i did some troubleshooting cause i was missing the "True undead Heroes and Vampires" spell.
Turns out that the "Shadowrealm expansion - Content" removes it.

I figure you most likely are not really active anymore just want to say i love the mod! i'm however getting issues with true undead and vampire. in my games, it reverts the resistances even if i dont have harbringer of death. so if im playing a dreadnaught for exemple but i recruited a necro and get it to vamp 2, its gonna make it have non-undead resistances. Also sometimes the heroes dont get healed by the heal undead ability (not on the tactical map, i mean the turn-by-turn health regen) although i dont know when i need to do more testing for that.

Hi [JdG] Pejman, yes, the spell should still be there with my mod. I haven't changed anything about in in the last mod updates. I implemented it as an avatar spell, so maybe you have another mod running that changes avatar type spells and blocks it?

Hi CakeOfDoom, I have to admit I never liked spell casting heroes too much in AoW2 (didn't play AoW1), so I also didn't make them a focus in my hero mod either (heroes can learn 1 new spell from their racial profession though, which comes from specialization spells).

Is it just me or do heroes in AoW3 not have a lot of spells? Like, in AoW1 and 2 the main hero (caster) had far more spells, but also the heroes where better spellcasters.
i really miss having dedicated spellcaster heroes :(

I only have an auto save from the turn where it occurred as I thought advancing the turn might somehow resolve the spell cast if I queued up something else. But I'm having trouble reproducing it in a new game. I am 1/2 convinced it's an extremely rare conflict with the PBEM balance mod, as that's the only other mod I run that even comes close to editing heroes or spells. But I run quite a few mods in addition to yours and that one, and I'd hate for you to have to deal with all that garbage for something so rare. Plus I wouldn't know how to send the save your way.

Hmm, that is bad. Do you by any chance have a save game for me to look at? (ideally from before casting the spell)

There may be some edge-case when you have a hero that is fully converted and one that only got affected by the spell once. But I'm not sure if it's something that can easily be resolved, especially not for your already bugged game.

I do, I leveled a hero with Vampire II and was able to cast it once, clearing all the resist, but was unable to cast it a second time. Which was rather unfortunate as I had an additional pair of heros with Vampire II and Lich II who's stats were effected.

Hi Lord Hand! Do you actually still have a hero with Vampire II or Lich II ? Because the spell can only be cast if there is a valid target.

"True Undead Heroes and Vampires" appears to have broken half way through my game. I can no longer cast it. It says "invalid targeter type" in the cast spell window.

Ok you know how to set skill points per level for skills. Could you make a mod that maxes the skill points per level for level up 10? Also could you make mod to give 20 skill points per level combined with faster hero leveling? And remove leader and hero level cap?

Like almost everything in this mod but you REALLY should change the Necro spell "True Undead Heroes and Vampires" from Avatar to Necromancer.... its not game breaking but does break immersion seeing it while playing other classes

Sorc/medium is pretty op, having regrowth starting from lvl 2 on all units is bonkers. My level 10 champion cavalry with 130 hp(starting unit) can out-heal most raged dmg, and only afraid of t4 with charm/convert/instakill/etc.

Update on the missing True Undead spell problem: it's not due to the recent patches, it was simply a mod conflict on my end (which I really should've checked for before posting). I found that disabling the Remove Disjunction mod fixed my issue.

I'm not seeing the "True Undead Heroes and Vampires" spell anymore, causing my necromancer heroes to be unable to regenerate. Mod is working great otherwise. Could this be due to the recent patches? I'm having a similar problem with the Garrison Command mod - it simply doesn't show up in my research options. My modlist hasn't changed since the last time I played several months ago, before the patches - everything still worked then.

I actually managed to find them! They were saved in a different folder I forgot to look in. I put them up on imgur in this link: https://imgur.com/a/wfKdj4Y

They're supposed to be a PDF file so the images are really long, maybe I can fix that another time. I also put the Profession one in there which is the second one, just gotta scroll down really far.

I used to have the file but lost it, and now you apparently can't log in to download the attached file on triumph's forum since they've moved to Paradox's own.

Do note, they still perform the animation of using a ranged weapon, so it's there, and the ability works fine as well. They just don't swap their melee weapon to a ranged weapon.

I did some testing, using nothing but your Hero Development mod and I still had the issue, where the heroes would not pull out a ranged weapon (short bow, crossbow, etc) and instead held their melee weapon. Once I took away this mod and tested, it all worked.

My guess is that by being an ability rather than a physical item that grants an ability, they've lost their physical appearance when using said ability. I wouldn't know if this can be fixed or not.

It's odd however that it's never been brought up, perhaps no one else who's used the mod has truly looked at the heroes close-up during combat or this is a recent issue that's come with a recent update?

Hi The Numi, since I never noticed this myself and nobody came forth with such a problem during almost 2 years existence of the mod I am inclined to say the problem is due to something else than my mod. Unfortunately I can't check this myself for a couple of days since I am currently not at home. So maybe you just want to check the animations without my mod and compare.

Great mod, it's fun to use! One thing I'm wondering, which has likely been asked before but I couldn't find it scouring through the pages: is it just me or is there an issue with the ranged animation where they use their melee weapon?

It looks certainly cooler for Sorcerer to actually use their staff instead of a silly wand, but it kinda ruins it for the other classes, such as Arch Druid not pulling out their bow when using bow. It bugs me more than it should, which might sadly have me drop the mod if there's no fix to it.

If it's actually just me, I hope I can find out what the problem is!

Citing Hiliadan from Triumph´s forum: For other mods with issues, you probably need to contact their authors so that they do a small edit in their mod to say to the game that the mod works with v1.8 (it’s a quick edit, very simple).

Re! Same question as for Hero Profession: what about updating the manual or releasing an editable version? Also 3 balance/issue reports:
- Velvet the Assassin still has Panic Attack as a starting spell
- Priest is much stronger than Monk and Paladin because it has all the best Theo's abilities: Healing Aura, Iron Heart, Convert, Divine Justicar, Chaplain... needs some buff for Monk and Paladin or make some of the abilities common for all Theo (Convert). Monk is lacklustre, maybe add Inspiring Aura and an upgrade to the spirit blast?
- Divine Justicars' cost for Paladin should be reduced to 6 or 7 (as it "only" gives Devout and Righteous Zeal, which is clearly not as good as the original Divine Justicar)

Assassin, Trickster and Duelist are the three Rogue paths from this mod. There is a version of the Empire Building Mod (see link in the mod description there) without the hero upgrades part which should be compatible with this one. As for other heroes, they won't break the mod just not work with it as intended (no racial hero upgrades, starting items not removed).

I think i have some weird mixture of your system and the Empire Building one. Most of the hero skill path choices seem to be from Empire Building - but i'm also e.g seeing Assassin, Trickster or Duelist available for my elf rogues. I have literally no idea what mod those are from.

I have Empire Building Mod (Hero Compatibility version) installed plus Triumphant Heroes and your Hero Development and Hero Professions mods. Plus a mod called 'Army mod' (maybe i need to uninstall this 'Army mod'?

Yes! It practically expands the racial upgrade theme. If it didn't require the racial heritage mod I would have implemented it as an update to this mod, but I prefered to let the users decide if they want the full mod or the light version that doesn't require racial heritage.

hmm seems from that the racial abilities for heroes aren't working for me - maybe some other mod i'm using conflicting with it.

Are your Hero Professions and Hero Development mods compatible or was i misunderstanding and you need to use one or ther other?
