Are there glass chairs and beds?
WrenMoo  [author] May 7, 2016 @ 8:11am
@sstuglin Still compatible with the version of Gnomoria that was out right before 1.0. Not sure what the version number is off of the top of my head.
ProfStv May 6, 2016 @ 7:52am
What is the version of Gnomoria this is compatible with? I haven't been able to play my megabuild since Gnomoria updated and my build contained Glassworks, but someone commented on a photo that it is possible to roll back a gnomoria version via steam to one that worked with glassworks.
WrenMoo  [author] Feb 18, 2016 @ 8:28pm
@Tacyn: So long as you at least give a link to this page or require people to download it first. I'm intending to work on and release a new version of Glassworks when v1.0 is officially released, but until then I'm not going to worry a version for the indev branch releases.
Tacyn Feb 18, 2016 @ 2:39pm
Hi, I've taken your mod and changed it into an Included Mod intended for v1.0.
Do you mind if I upload it to the Workshop?

Good

I just want to say thank you for creating Glassworks. It is fun and it is inspirational. Thank you.

У кого крашится игра от факелов - пишите разрабам, ибо их косяк. Со всякими модами так (без модов краша нет).
Ins'Al Oct 22, 2015 @ 9:07am
After using this mod I can not longer plant any torches/wall torches... But I am watching this problem at other modifications, think this is a developers' mistake.
warriorwarren Oct 11, 2015 @ 8:10pm
meh
Espoire Oct 9, 2015 @ 3:56pm
EspEcon has been generating duplicate entries in the right-click menu on its own. I honestly can't tell why. It seems to happen intermittently. Fully-exiting the Gnomoria program and re-launching it fixes it for me... temporarily.
WrenMoo  [author] Oct 9, 2015 @ 10:10am
@Bryl: There is probably an incompatibility between out mods since EspEcon's update yesterday. I'm not really sure. Can you post a screenshop in the Bug Reports discussion page here?
WrenMoo  [author] Oct 9, 2015 @ 10:09am
@ftode: Its found in the same place as your saves in a file called gnomoria.log. Should be Documents/Games/Gnomoria I think
Traveller Oct 9, 2015 @ 6:05am
when running multiple mods (glassworks and EspEcon for example) I get duplicte menu entries when right clicking or going through the toolbar. Is there a way to fix this?
Goglan Oct 9, 2015 @ 2:07am
@gcook725 Call me an idiot but where do I find the crash report?
WrenMoo  [author] Oct 7, 2015 @ 4:46pm
@Name Lips: Did you select Glassworks as the mod to load in the advanced settings when starting a new kingdom?
Name Lips Oct 7, 2015 @ 4:41pm
I must be doing it wrong. I subscribed, and then started a new game, but I don't see the new workshops in the build menu.
WrenMoo  [author] Oct 7, 2015 @ 3:14pm
@Flode: I can't seem to replicate the bug, can you post the most recent crashlog in the bug reports discussions page for this mod?
Goglan Oct 7, 2015 @ 2:30pm
@gcook725 Only using this mod. Made a new world to see if the map was bugged, same problem; crash on placing torch, still after update.
Fette_Katze_mit_Keks Oct 7, 2015 @ 12:24pm
@Maxter Me too :steamsad:
donth101 Oct 6, 2015 @ 11:43pm
@gcook725, have reinstalled gomaria + glassworks, new save is glassworks_nometal2.sav (in the glassworks folder this time). But it seems as though this may be a problem with the new version of gnomoria, not your mod.
Tassin Oct 6, 2015 @ 5:30pm
Im having this mine problems, take a lot of time to finish the task of mining ( on a dirty block).
WrenMoo  [author] Oct 6, 2015 @ 9:42am
@donth101: I'm having trouble loading up the save you provided. Throwing mod version incompatibilities. Have you made sure to update Glassworks and Gnomoria both?

Also does the issue occur when no mod is loaded? If not, try unsubscribing to Glassworks and then resubscribing. Still a problem? Does the issue occur with another mod?

Asking so many questions because when I loaded up a new world I didn't have any problems finding generated ore. Try using the "replace wall" method to detect ores. Use replace wall on an entire floor: Anything that doesn't get a a task to be replaced is either empty space (cavern) or ore of some sort. You can then remove the replace wall tasks.
donth101 Oct 5, 2015 @ 10:13pm
@gcook725, done, save is glasswork_nometal.sav
WrenMoo  [author] Oct 5, 2015 @ 6:18pm
@NF_HorseDong All mods require that you make a new world to use them.
NF_Crenos Oct 5, 2015 @ 4:27pm
Do I have to make a new world to make it work? Or can I use an old save, which has no earlier Glassworks in it?
WrenMoo  [author] Oct 5, 2015 @ 10:45am
@donth101 it should not. Could you upload a save to the gnomoria world pool dropbox?

@ftode Torches are crashing the game? It shouldn't. I haven't had any issues with this, but I can run a few tests. Do you have any other mods running in your kingdom as well?
Goglan Oct 5, 2015 @ 4:39am
Is placing torches supposed to crash the game?
donth101 Oct 5, 2015 @ 4:05am
Is this mod ment to reduce to availability of metal? Because I seem to be finding next to no ore with this mod.
bar.pys Oct 3, 2015 @ 11:28pm
mods in GNOMORIA!!!!!! Thanks for this one, can't wait to see what other great things people will come up with!!!!!
Dawnseeker Oct 3, 2015 @ 7:36am
Just realized gnomoria had steam workshop items, I'm now interested in your mod and was intending to start over anyway. I'll let you know my thoughts when I've had some time to experiment.
Espoire Oct 3, 2015 @ 1:06am
@BruceWayne: Not currently. I'm working on making EspEcon more lightweight so that it's less-likely to conflict with other mods, but even when I'm done I think they may still step on eachother's toes a little bit. We'll see how it goes.
WrenMoo  [author] Oct 2, 2015 @ 9:51pm
@Marweiss6: Also that SHOULD happen with all mods you try to load up. Those of us who have been testing modding and this branch of Gnomoria have concluded its some kind of strange interaction with modded Gnomoria and some people's computers.
WrenMoo  [author] Oct 2, 2015 @ 9:49pm
@Marweiss6: This is a known issue with this version of Gnomoria, but no one for the life of us can find out what's causing the issue. We know it has something to do with the strength value of materials somehow betting EXTREMELY inflated (specifically, multiplied by 10) so everything takes forever to mine... here's the thing though, no can find out why because its only happened to a few people now. If you're interested in helping us figure it out, post into the Bug Reports page for Glassworks your system specs and Operating System. Also make sure all of your Frameworks and everything is all up-to-date.

@BruceWayne: Kinda. There are a couple conflicts, though it is possible to manually combine the mods on your end to fix it. There's a lot of issues in Gnomoria atm with running multiple mods and its pretty finicky, requiring extra work to get working right.
marweiss6 Oct 2, 2015 @ 9:13pm
Theres another Problem for me, my Miners now dig Hours to Clear one Cube. My standard Beginner Cave (5x5) wasnt ready after 2 Days of digging. I´ve tried it with and without the Mod loaded. It seems only to appear with Glassworks on. Is it a Bug or a Feature?
Bruce Wayne Oct 2, 2015 @ 5:06pm
economy mod
Bruce Wayne Oct 2, 2015 @ 5:06pm
is this compatible with EspEcon?
WrenMoo  [author] Sep 15, 2015 @ 9:12pm
@Llama3013 Hey, thanks for the subscription! I hope you enjoy!
Khepresh Sep 15, 2015 @ 6:24pm
Thank you sounds like a worthwhile mod then im gonna subscribe.
WrenMoo  [author] Sep 15, 2015 @ 9:13am
@Llama3013 In most cases, yes. Some glass structures such as stained glass and frosted glass walls/floor are opaque, but transparent glass walls/floors and windows allow Line of Sight and light to go through. I'm unsure if glass doors allow LoS and light through them, though I think they do.
Khepresh Sep 15, 2015 @ 1:00am
So just a quick question does the glass allow light to go through it and can gnomes look though the glass.
WrenMoo  [author] Sep 10, 2015 @ 8:01pm
@sstuglin: Okay, I took a peek at what was included with the new update to Gnomoria indev. Turns out it was support for loading multiple mods at once! ... which is actually not as awesome as it sounds because it means I'll need to do a minor rewrite of Glassworks to make it work with the new format.

Fret not! Nothing should actually change with Glassworks and your save should be compatible, but it might be a while before I can get everything working right again since I just started my work week and I only have one day off next week.

Thankfully, Glassworks is a small enough mod that usually all that is needed is a day of coding to fix it, so hopefully I'll be able to have it ready within the week, but I can't make any promises that I'll have it good to go in that time.
ProfStv Sep 10, 2015 @ 5:34pm
OK It is almost certainly a Glassworks problem with whatever Steam downloaded (update?) for Gnomoria today. I can run Gnomoria but get stuck on infinity loading screen when trying to load my save game using Glassworks, which was working earlier today... Also, if I try to start a new game with Glassworks enabled I get a CTD. Please check into this ASAP - If I lose this save I will be very upset.
ProfStv Sep 10, 2015 @ 5:06pm
Save games stopped loading this evening after some update to gnomoria [indev] with glassworks running. No idea if it the core game, the mod, the interchange, or something else but I can't access a REALLY COOL map I was working on. No patch notes for anything posted that I can find.
Langreda Sep 7, 2015 @ 8:34am
Hey I appreciate it! You're a pioneer for gnomoria steam mods
WrenMoo  [author] Sep 7, 2015 @ 12:54am
@Cahuani: I think I know what the issue is. Forgot to change the recipe for ceramic tiles to use Refined Sand instead of Silica (since silica itself no longer exists). I'll get a patch out for that as soon as I get the chance to (probably after I wake up).
Langreda Sep 6, 2015 @ 10:10pm
So I am using this, but trying to queue ceramic tiles in the kiln causes a crash. Is anyone else going through this?
Vincente Steele Sep 3, 2015 @ 10:42pm
Nevermind, I figured it out. I'm used to unblocking the .dll files but not the .exe files. Everything works.
Vincente Steele Sep 3, 2015 @ 10:23pm
I saw mention of glass weapons for sale and I immediately thought of colored glass swords put up on display, then I thought of Morrowind.

Great as this mod is, using it and gnomeshui via the modcooker program causes a CTD, which is unfortunate as I either have to manually merge them or pick one of the two.
WrenMoo  [author] Sep 3, 2015 @ 10:50am
@Nurse Bluheart: I've honestly been trying to keep the crafts that are only good for selling down to a minimum. At present, there are baubles (which while looking like spherical objects in game can really be any kind of little trinket) as a low-end glass craft and glass gems/rings as a higher-end glass craft. I think that is probably enough.

While glass weapons merely for selling would be kinda cool, I don't really think they're needed as another craft and would only add bloat. Now what might be cool is to add usable glass weapons that require another process to turn glass into another material like... say... glassteel or something like that.
