@Grr you can use Sayyid trait for that. It passes to female directly from father but degrades to mizra (for her sons) and then goes away entirely. Basically sayyid father have syyid daughters who have either daughters or mizra sons who then lose the trait.

I know this could be pretty late, but wouldve been better if it only marks the male descendent, otherwise your daughter's children of other family name would also inherit this trait.

This mod will come in handy. I am planning on playing as an immortal character, and now I can make sure I don't accidentally sleep with a descendant.

Could you make a mod that tracks how many people you've caused the deaths of. Through assassinations or your armies?

@Celcer Thanks for your comment! I haven't really updated the mod in a long time, but more than five would certainly be possible. The ethnic traits could be given using events at the start of the game, so that would probably be possible too, I'll look into it (sadly that way, it wouldn't work for people who died before the game start, maybe I can find a way around that)!

Would it be possible to add more bloodlines than five? :) Love this mod by the way, great idea!! (what would be fantastic would bethis type of descent tracker but for ethnicity, forex exemple having a cuman ancestor gives you the trait "cuman blood" ... Would such mod be possible? It would be so great!!

Also I tried it with "Slvrbuu's CHeat Menu" and it worked for me just fine. Idk what's going on with @KillerofGods game but mine runs smoothly with the Cheat Menu

The mod I was testing out was "Slvrbuu's CKII Cheat Menu." I'm now 100% sure that your two mods were conflicting but it sure seemed like it as when I had both on that problem would appear and your mod wouldn't work :(

@KillerofGods Weird, that shouldn't happen, since the trait names are unique (as far as I know), and none of the files should interfere, as they are unique as well.

what other mods are you using? I just had a problem where a trait from another mod clashed with one of these and made that trait genetic and cleared out the one from here.

There seems to be a bug where chosen_descent_3 appears on multiple characters regardless of my input. I haven't found any other trait appearing but this one.

Actually, both descent and descendent can be accurately used. I am of Dutch-Brazilian descent; a descendant of Dutch-Brazilian parents. See? :)

A simple suggestion: Turn it into a targetted decision for more comfortable handling

Isn't it called Decendant, rather than Descent? Because those are two different words.

@NINTENPUG Love the mod, my only gripe is basically what Ozymandias mentioned; it's Descendant, direct blood relatives from your own genes, not Descent, like going down. Small thing, no big deal, but you know.

@LikkerdySplit You could do that, but after 400 years it tends to get a little messy. Besides, it's fun seeing that some random count in India is a descendant of your original character.

Or you could just check his family tree.

They will still have the trait. It kind of works like the genius trait, only there are no bonuses, and the chance of inheritance is 100%

What if I person with the trait has kids of a different house? Will those children have the trait?

So if I use the console to give this trait to two different characters, both characters' descendants will have the same icon even though they're not related to eachother?
