The console commands are for opening the gates on the Gmod versions, which aren't needed on the TF2 version as those open when the round start. They are listed in the Gmod version's workshop page: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1140421814

It may be a bit rude, but you can decompile the map and have that off to the side while making the new one. You can get accurate measurements brush by brush. You'll also get all the original textures by doing that.

i mean, it'd be beautiful to see a fixed version (even though it's not nessecarily bad that it's slightly broken) of an old map that alot of people have seen. also the reason i haven't gotten that far in measuring it. because in my words "How the hecc do i get accurate measurements"

That'd be quite the undertaking, but you are most welcome to give it a shot. Just be sure to name me in the credits for the original map. It's a real mess of a map, I attempted making a "fixed" version of it that resolved some of its bugs but never ended up quite finishing it so far. Maybe I should go back to work on it.

one of these days i want to measure this map as close as possible and re-create it block and pixel as close as possible to the correct measurements using mods. thing is who am i to ask the wizard atop the mountain for permission, i'm not worthy of it

@Comrade_Frunze You have to go to SteamApps\workshop\content\440 and move dm_sdm_final.bsp to SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\download\maps to have the game detect it.

You can either start a new local server and select the map in the list, or open the console (by adding -console to the launch options) and type "map dm_sdm_final" then enter.

I am currently working on a "definitive" version of this map that finally patches out a few of its bugs and fixes some of the models not having the proper textures, missing musics, and a few other tweaks. It should be ready for christmas.

I haven't played this map before and i'm not a touhou fan either but man this map looks good and i've enjoyed exploring it for what it is. Can't believe how this old map holds up pretty well. I've played other of your touhou saxton hale maps but this one takes the cake as a really good map to play in. Man i can see the tf2 community making really good maps for what they are even if how old they are. :shions_face:

That's not possible unfortunately, bots require nav mesh to move around the map, and nav mesh are ill-suited to deal with trigger_teleport, which the map is using a lot, so that means bots would be unable to either leave or enter the mansion, or go anywhere if in Flandre's basement.

Coming back to TF2 after a five year break and joining a server with this map brought back a wave of nostalgia and good memories.

There are 3 rooms. Each with 8 tunnels.
In each rooms:
1 tunnel leads somewhere outside
2 tunnels lead to death
5 tunnels lead to another tunnel, except in one room where only 4 do, and the 5th leads to Flandre's room

Well guess what, the first version of this map featuring the basement labyrinth actually pre-dates SCP:Containment Breach / Secret Laboratory. I like to think that they took some inspiration from it, but I like my version better, at least there's some variety in the deaths, and more than one way out.

In the xmas version, on a small beach to the right of the blu spawn, there's a rock, and there should be a button on it. Try pressing it.

An open ended exploration type map, there are versions that are both VSH and KOTH. Though you could use it for anything.

On an unrelated note in the xmas version of the map there is a sound file "the_ecstacy_of_9", is this something tied to an event that I haven't found?

I checked that room and the map's sound files. Night of Errors doesn't play there as it doesn't exist. Oddly sometimes the exit is missing textures and other times its plain white like the other versions of the map
