Luckily for u I tested a other battle camera mod and it works.

Hey there, sadly it doesnt work for me. i have activated it and the game launches normally but it just doesnt change anything. Tried both the standart and total war camera options but that didnt chance anything.
If someone has an idea that would be very appriciated.

With shift the camera goes faster, is there also a way to move it slower than normal?

@YAMI[AI Test]: Does this also happen without the mod? If I remember correctly the strange behavior when using the Insert key is a general problem, not sure though.

When using Insert to lock the unit view to the maximum, if the unit turns around the view will be stuck in a very strange place, the unit directly disappears but you can see the enemy being engaged, then you drag the mouse view, the view will become overhead, you can only re-pull to the farthest view to zoom in again

@HotPocketPieLord: You can try to enable the debug camera. It has pretty much no restrictions if I remember correctly.

The following is from memory so it might not be completely accurate:

It's a setting in the file "preferences.script.txt" called "default_battle_camera_type" which you can set to value "2". The file can be found in "C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\...\scripts\".

Don't forget to make a backup of the file first. Also keep in mind that the debug mode will be reset as soon as you enter the settings menu in the game.

Anyone know a camera mod that is just unrestricted?
lets you fly out past the battlemap boundaries?

@jackass: I think this mod should be pretty compatible with other mods. Therefore mod loading order should not matter.

@33'_Division_Charlemagne: You just need to subscribe to the mod and then it should be downloaded by Steam. Then you'll have to activate it in the Total War launcher.

So .. do you need to personally unpack the game files? Because once the files were already unpacked and easy to mod but now i really don't find out where is this file? I see "data" but is all "packed" .. i love take screens and i have got the same mod for RTW II but in that case it was just to subscribe and activate via launcher .. could you explane me please??
