To play the scenario, you need to download the "Gothic II Scenario (English / German). All the civs are included there. The map is not included in the Civpack, which is made for playing the Gothic civs in a normal game without having the technologies and wonders changed.

I have the following file structure:

*Sis Meier's Civilization 5
* MODS
* Gothic 2 Civilization Pack (v 2)
*Art
*Sound
*XML
Gothic 2 Civilization Pack (v 2).modinfo

But cannot run the scenario

The Gothic 2 map does not appear in map drop down for advanced setup. I have both used the direct download and cleared the Civ5ModsDatabase cache

If the mod does not show up in the mod menu, delete the file "Civ5ModsDatabase" under this path: Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache. Then restart the game and go to the Mod menu, the mod should be loaded now.
Alternatively you can download the scenario directly from mediafire, the link is in the description above. You have to unzip the folder and move it to Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\MODS. Then you have to activate the mod in the mod menu as usual.

mc9407: Above in the picture gallery, roughly in the middle, there is a pictured instruction. Have you tried all the steps described there? When the mod is activated, you should find a map named "Gothic 2 Scenario (English / German)" in the advanced setup map dropdown list.

kennethsw: I think this means Steam kind of is aware that you subscribed to the mod, but the real download is not done yet. It´s a pity that in most cases, when subscribing to a mod in the Steam Workshop, it is not loaded immediately, sometimes you have to wait for like days until it shows up in the mod list and is playable.

What both of you might try is the direct download (link is in the description above), an installation manual is in the download folder as well. This should fix your problems.

mod downloaded fine went to mods got the download and transfer bars ok but never showed up in list. went to the list of all mods in game file and it was at bottom but it was not in a folder like all the others just a single file. probably did not explain this very well . but it is just not working right.

I turned on the mods in the mod list, but I cannot find any map, civilization or scenario. Any help?

Delete the file "Civ5ModsDatabase" under this path: Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 5\cache and restart the game, go to the Mod menu and wait a bit, the mod should be loaded now. It´s a common issue with Steam...

Mod won't unpack itself (doesn't show up in mod list...)
