@Raska and everyone else who likes to buy this, looks like you have to wait a bit more, I guess it was just added accidently with that patch.
For those who got it during that time, you have a quite exclusive sword now :D

@Bear Grylls
yes there are quite a few norse swords, I actually decided to make a spatha before checking which mods are already available or not.
You better first save the money for a new graphics card, after that, you can buy the spatha ;)

@Raska
haha awesome, thanks!
Right now I cannot add anything, no time to work on it.
But keep your eyes open.

Fist time I saw it I said it looked too similar to the original one ... now I think I'll buy it, lmao.
Hope you'll keep adding more great stuff to the workshop :P

Hey Beefy Slaver!
Best advice I can give you is to check out the Blender tutorial and community websites instead of asking in a Steam comment section.
Try Blender Cookie, Blender Diplom, Blender Artists etc.
For dimension, Torn Banner provides fbx files of the original models on their moddings site, check that out.

Hi Prime8, I'm looking to get into modeling on blender. I want to start out with a simple sword for practice but have no idea what size dimensions to go for. Would you be able to give me any advice please?

Thanks

You could always bump up the specular on the brass bits you have to help those engravings pop up a bit more. For the steel parts you could add some brass in the negative areas of the engraving to give them a little bit more contrast and have them stick out a little more.

Thanks, but unfortunately the engraving is difficult to see while using, but that is with all the weapons.
Raska I think they are very different, besides that it's required to keep the general shape.

Cool looking sword, I like the engraving details on the weapon.

Yesss! More Roman mods!
Raska Apr 25, 2015 @ 11:48am
Well, imo it's too similar to the original one.

Oh that is interesting, I was sometimes thinking if it's not too decorated. Lots of weapons to choose from, for sure you will find one that suits you.
