Sorry to bother, but when exporting the image as png, the reflections are positioned in different ways, they change sides, what can I do?

Found a workaround for the "mirror not displaying correctly" thing for higher resolutions. Open steam > Library > SFM > Properties > Launch Options > add: -sfm_resolution 1080 -w 1920 -h 1080 > save/close > Launch SFM . Your projects should now be able to render in 1920x1080 res. Havent tested higher resolutions like 2K or 4K, but I hope this saves someone some time.

The skybox gets screwed up when I shine a light on the mirror. I'm using a laptap btw with a dedicated graphics card.

Say, how to fix where the mirror from the ground doesn't match from the reflection, instead below on their feet, they are apart and not match.

I only subscribed to this so I can make images with only a model, rather than using the Stage map.

I guess I could - but I've never made maps specifically for gmod, so I don't really know how I could do it - but I can give it a shot.

I have but two simple requests, which go hand in hand. Could you have these maps available on the Gmod workshop and the green version able to be colored using the color tool?

I think this is because mirrors have poroblems when rendering at different resolutions than that of SFM.

Also, Mirrors don't reflect AO very well.

Funny thing: when I render 1280x720 poster, it works perfectly. But when I render any other resolutions - ta-daaaa, something odd happens.

i've had this happen before and what i did was shut down sfm then reload the program and take the camera angle and moved it up a little then when i rendered it worked. hope this helpes i tried to remember what i did exactly but i think that about sums it up i think it happens when the camera is too close to the mirror

I still haven't figure out why this happens.

You can also try rendering a 1 image image sequence as well, by making your clip one frame long, select it, and export the single shot. I think this was one workaround I heard someone used.

Experimenting with maps and..

But then BAM! http://i.gyazo.com/5af96458d52db8bcc686782fe5ee23a5.png This happens after render. Making AVI helps, but... I dunno. Reduced size really not worth it, imo. :squirtmeh:

1. Try using the export image function instead of poster export
2. Try exporting a 2-3 frame avi file and then saving one frame

that's what disabling the lighting does, it gets rid of all the map lighting so you can make your own custom lighting. What you need to do, is spawn your own lights to light up your scene. Since the map has no lighting, it gives you complete control over how you light your scene

nice stuff! but when i load a model in sfm_mirror_green new map without the light. then model appear in completely black. everything in viewport is just black except the map (sky and mirror ground). so i had to disable the lighting to see the models. i love the map without the light too. but would you fix this problem? thnx :)

It is a little difficult to navigate at first, but yes, it works perfectly.
This easily replaces black_void from now on.

I reuploaded sfm_mirror_green to have no lighting (since it really shouldn't have had any to begin with)

so I hope it suits your needs

The skybox matters not, it can be changed with a console command.

weird. I opened it up and played around. Works fine for me. I tried to make it happen but couldn't figure it out. Does it look correct in the viewport?
