real problem isn't custom campaign but sometimes custom campaign as "new" as 2018 override foliages (might be related to cold stream), even the semi official "Dam It" causing purple checkerboard (texture missing) tree in official campaign

This mod is very useful in custom campaings, some campaings use the first content of cold stream and they removed it, soo this mod is very useful to fix missing textures and error models in custom campaings, there is like 3 mods like this, all of them are helpful

last time i checked he only had split up parts of Counter-strike and Half-Life assets.
again, still not required at all and I had thought such content was already in Left 4 Dead.
to a certain extent anyway... considering the problem is conflicting file names.

the problem is the game being confused on what to mount and when.
he expects people to extract and edit files and add it all into Left 4 Dead 2.
In my opinion this is not how the game or modding in the community works.

kind of figured he dind't get the point when he merged Ray's and my other friend's.
"part 2" doesn't even fix what you think or work how you'd expect.

I had to subscribe to Valve's Missing Content Fix PART 2 also. Found out that there is a Part 3 and 4 meanwhile.
