well, if anyone has time during quarentine, you can resurrect this mod, like they did with crisis of the confederation, we are in for a long time trapped in home, and, i sadly dont have anywhere close to the modding skill to resurrect this, if a modder sees this comment, please, try to do it!

@xkuripuri: Within a game, changing the location of a province is impossible, and it's rather involved outside of a game; changing the location of a title would be extremely tedious, as to some extent would be redefining existing titles by changing their holders. In modding, however (and to a lesser extent in save-game editing), it's quite easy - all you'd need to do is to change each title's capital, though if you wanted to be thorough about it, you'd also want to do things like turning the Gensoukyou holding-names into culture-specific names for existing holdings in whichever area you wanted to use, and figuring out what to do with the holders of the vanilla titles.

@Duneflower [MSLN]: How hard is it to actually move stuff around like that? I'd probably just use like, MTA Debug Cheats to move a title around and then give my old one away...
@xkuripuri: Maybe move the island to somewhere in the Indian Ocean? Or if you just wanna work with existing provinces, the tribal provinces in the Uzbek etc. area have VERY little going on early in the game...

@Highway Star: Resurrection in full is VERY difficult. Copying physical and lifestyle traits is basically impossible (though they're few enough that you might not feel too bad about throwing a bunch of if = { limit = { root = { trait = xxx } } } add_trait = xxx }); for personality traits...hmm. I believe this should work in an on_death event:

create_character = {
random_traits = no
(put "root" in every field possible)
}
new_character = {
export_to_variable = { which = trait_count value = personality_traits who = root }
while = { limit = { not = { personailty_traits = trait_count } }
copy_random_personality_trait = root
}
}

You'll probably have to make separate versions for guys and girls since I don't think female = [scope] is valid.

I've been thinking, what about some special government types? It would, I think, at least make some sense that say the Hakurei and Moriya could get a government type that lets them hold Temples without penalty.

Something else I've been thinking of, which is probably really too much, is if there could be a version with some of the Touhou rulers on the map elsewhere... Gensokyo is fun and all, but I always feel a bit bummed out on how you lose out on interacting with China due to the location being pretty far from the Silk Road. That's a pretty personal suggestion though for my own playstyle.

What I did was go into documents > paradox interactive > crusader kings 2 > mod > and then find the kingdom of gensokyo zip file. Delete every file within that zip file and replace them with the new ones. That's what worked for me if its not working for you then I don't know what to say.

Hey can't seem to get this to work properly despite having it downloaded. Tried it manually with dropbox first, didn't work. I also looked through the comments to try to figure it out and found Brandon's comment and that way didn't work either.

I think that could be pretty good. Use up that Continue to respawn! I might try posting up a discussion of bloodline ideas sometime soon, since the idea keeps rattling around in my head.

Thanks for the reminder about the event. Though, that event doesn't do what I had in mind. Although, that event would be perfect for Akyuu.

What I had in mind was more like a 'respawn'.
on_death
immediately makes a new character which will start at age 16 and is a near 1:1 copy of your original character that inherit everything.

How do you guys feel about this?
Reincarnation is already a thing as of RoI; all you need do is to hook the Gensoukyou-jin into it. If you don't want them to be /exactly/ like the originals, just create a modified version of RoI.10000 specific to them and with a much-likelier on_birth factor (or make it a certainty, but with a chance for an AI to take a pass). If you /do/ want them to be an exact copy, then copy and tweak the entire chain.

Ah I see! It was the first thought that came to mind, the idea I kind of liked about it being a 'decision' is that well, a bit part of CK2's fun is playing new characters. But for a Touhou mod, it also feels weird to not have the named characters stick around, you know? So felt it being a 'choice' allowed players to both play CK2 in its more 'normal' way, but also have the option to bring back a Touhou character occasionally.

And yeah I can imagine getting a bit burnt out on all the bloodlines, there are quite a few. I can think up some general ideas for some off the top of my head though.

Originally this mod did have a sort of 'true' immortal but, I took it out. I could could mod this back in. Death by events aren't a problem; the only thing that might be problematic is the 'execute prisoner' decision which, if i remember right, is hard coded.

I did plan to give everyone a Bloodline, but I got burned out doing it. I will finish
adding Bloodlines in slowly but surely.

Well the first idea I had on my head was if there'd be a way to 'reincarnate' certain characters. Like Mokou, Kaguya and Eirin are all 'true' immortals, but I know you can't actually stop characters from being killed in CK2 due to its event death and stuff. Not sure if its possible to make it so a decision, or something, can just 'respawn' them and make them off the current ruler or something.

Is there a plan to give everyone a major-ish style Bloodline?

I could always think up ideas and such, although I'm not sure how feasible some of them could be. As a note, I noticed if you set the rulers to Immortal, and select a Ruler with the rule setting, that Ruler won't be immortal.
