Ranger's Apprentice uses the real world (Europe) as it's inspiration, Araluen is England for instance. Skandia is Skandivians (Denmark, ect...). Good job though.

The Ranger's Apprentice world is based off of Europe and Japan in the middle of the Medieval Ages, so if you want to recreate the Ranger's Apprentice world all you would have to do is use a map of europe, northern Africa, and Japan plus the Land in between. Also there is a map at the start of the 12th book, I think. Loved this book series btw, Ive read all of them plus the Brotherband Series. Good Job making this map from memory aswell! :)

Oh my god I just got finished with the burning bridge. Sadly, my library doesn't have the rest of the series. I remember the kalkara so well :D

I recently read the slaves of scorro in brotherband, and it had a map of Araluen and the surrounding area. I suggest you check that out, it could be helpful

the only thing is in the slaves of socorro they mention a "southern jungle"

I believe benscott713 is right. It's a very impressive map, but I do believe that there's more land in between. For example, Hibernia was the Latin name for Ireland. Plus, based on the brotherband chronicles, Raguza is based off Ragusa, so there might be some more that could be added. But anyways, great looking map!

In case no one had noticed, all of the place-names in Ranger's Apprentice are congruent with historical names for real areas/races, for example Teutlandt being Germany or the Mongols being the Temujai. Therefore, a map of Araluen and the world around it would just be a regular world map.

In one of the books (can't remember which one) it had a map. And your map isn't that far from how it was, just a whole less land in the middle and more to the right.
