I would do it but I want $5 per operating system
Imaginos007 Sep 29 @ 8:06pm
I'll literally send $5 to whoever who can make a video guide on how to install java mods for PZ on Linux, Mac, and windows. $5 is $5 lol
Dr. Malpractice Sep 29 @ 5:37pm
maybe cause i dont know how to find the folder
Rachel L Sep 29 @ 6:45am
@Dr. Malpractice you literally just copy the zombie folder inside the mod folder to the same folder that is the game zombie folder. Why would you need a video for that?
Black_moons  [author] Sep 29 @ 3:39am
Im not really good at making instruction videos, but if someone else wants to make one and post it somewhere I'll link it in the install section.
Dr. Malpractice Sep 28 @ 6:53pm
ah, ok. i just am not well versed in file stuff so i might struggle with even installing it
perhaps you can make a video and post a link somewhere to show people like me how to install it?
Black_moons  [author] Sep 28 @ 6:52pm
@Dr. Malpratice: Switching back to B41 automatically uninstalls the manual file part of the mod.
Dr. Malpractice Sep 28 @ 6:49pm
i hope eventually theres a way to do this without file editing, cause i dont wanna break anything due to how often i go from b41 to b42

Tremendo mod me encanta amigo. GRACIAS:spiffo:
Black_moons  [author] Sep 27 @ 1:03pm
@NevvyDraws Copy ONLY the zombie folder over. Not every folder in the mod.
NevvyDraws Sep 27 @ 10:12am
The mod seems to make my UI not work properly.

I have noticed validating the files fixes this, but then when re-installing manually, it breaks the UI again. For example it will list the actual, full UI.

Instead of the sandbox options being "Rare" or "Common" and such, it will instead be "Sandbox_Common"

This has also caused several options to bug out entirely, quitting to desktop is named "IGUI post_death_quit" or something along those lines.

Validating my files and then not manually reinstalling the mod completely fixes my UI but then I cannot use Realistic Car Physics or Project Summer Car. I keep getting a constant error message, even when both are disabled, saying "IGUI_RCP is not installed correctly" or something along those lines.

Any help would be appreciated.

@Gundam Could not reproduce. Please try with just this mod and no others.
CSM-101 "T-800" Sep 25 @ 11:35pm
@Black_moons I'm using Windows 11 Pro, but I don't think it's really necessary anymore because, interestingly, I was able to get it working last night. It worked after the 41.12 update. I don't know, I hadn't actually made any changes to the files, but I guess that was just my bad luck. Anyway, thanks for responding and trying to help so I can finally try out the mode.

Thanks legend!
Black_moons  [author] Sep 25 @ 4:31pm
@Rats Worked without having to move them over again here. if the mod itself is enabled it will alert you if the java part needs updating/reinstalling.
Rats Sep 25 @ 3:16pm
Hello Black_moons, maybe is a stupid question, but do we need to move again the files manually after the update?
Black_moons  [author] Sep 25 @ 3:14pm
@CSM-101 "T-800" What OS are you on?
CSM-101 "T-800" Sep 25 @ 10:45am
@Black_moons yea im using b42. i try everything bro but noting :/ I even tested to see if it was conflicting with another mode, but to no avail. i hope this update fixes it. I'll try again.
Black_moons  [author] Sep 25 @ 8:26am
Tested and working with B42.12
Black_moons  [author] Sep 24 @ 9:12pm
@CSM-101 "T-800" Are you using build42? Validate your game files in steam to uninstall the mod.

@SIMBAproduz Translation added for next update, thanks

@Островський No, the game engine has 0 support for that and vehicles don't have any description of what drivetrain they are so its impossible to add without hardcoding for every vehicle in existence.
Островський Sep 24 @ 7:45pm
Does this mod support variable drivetrains (FWD, RWD, 4WD/AWD)?
SIMBAproduz Sep 24 @ 10:40am
Instead of creating a separate mod, I uploaded the PTBR translations in the discussions so they can be officially integrated into the mod
Rachel L Sep 24 @ 7:03am
@Inverspe the problem is that PZ currently doesnt handle weight very well. PZ needs a huge vehicle systems/physics rework. Weight and splitting torque and hp are one of the things.
CSM-101 "T-800" Sep 24 @ 7:02am
After following the installation instructions, when I try to enter the saved game, it crashes after the loading screen. I don't know, I think I must be doing something wrong, but I'm sure I'm following the instructions.
Black_moons  [author] Sep 24 @ 2:56am
@spinnywhy If you get no message when you get into a car (And the mod is enabled in your save) its installed correctly and up to date.

@Inverspe Towing isn't limited to 30mph if the mod is installed. It can go.. dangerously high speeds.

@HawkSixx Try holding the handbrake first to get the engine at max RPM. also try worse condition tires for burnouts. I am looking into adding a neutral though.
HawkSixx Sep 23 @ 11:57pm
can you add neutral? i cant do a burnout, only on grass and if I do reverse first
Inverspe Sep 23 @ 6:40pm
Wouldn’t the acceleration just be really slow like in real life?
Inverspe Sep 23 @ 6:37pm
Why is towing only limited to 30mph? Unless this is a my summer car feature
spinnywhy Sep 23 @ 5:32pm
is there a way to verify i installed it right?
Black_moons  [author] Sep 23 @ 1:21am
@KiwiCupraR That means you need to follow the manual install process again to update the java side part of it.
KiwiCupraR Sep 23 @ 12:52am
i allways get the message that this mod id outdated abd i should check workshop page...whats this about?
Black_moons  [author] Sep 22 @ 2:26am
@Zozer MP isn't out yet for B42, but there is nothing stopping this mod from working in MP when it is out.
Zozer Sep 21 @ 6:40pm
I love this kind of mods, but it will never work in multiplayer bc the manual changes of files
Rachel L Sep 20 @ 8:38am
@明明灭灭
Its not caused by this mod. Its a vanilla feature. Complain to TIS or find a mod to disable it. But its not this mod causing it
明明灭灭 Sep 20 @ 7:09am
I don't really like this visual effect; I once thought it was some kind of game bug related to screen refresh rate. If there could be other ways to indicate collisions instead of UI flickering, I think that would be better.
Black_moons  [author] Sep 20 @ 2:57am
@明明灭灭 That is a vanilla feature to show the vehicle sustained damage.
明明灭灭 Sep 20 @ 2:04am
My other confusion is that in the vanilla game, when I crash into buildings or other objects, the dashboard UI flickers. I'm not sure whether this is an intentional game feature or a bug. Can this be fixed?
Black_moons  [author] Sep 20 @ 1:39am
@明明灭灭 Its natural for cars to whip around in reverse but not forward, that is why all cars are front wheel steering: Rear wheel steering (going in reverse) is unstable and will cause the car to whip around violently with the slightest input.

I'll look into seeing if I can add some kinda 'soft' mode at low speed as iv noticed its a little hard to precisely position vehicles for hooking up for towing and parking in parking spots.
明明灭灭 Sep 20 @ 12:37am
Hmm, after testing several times, I can confirm these vehicle-related traits do have noticeable effects. I observed that both reversing and forward acceleration involve a gradual speeding-up process, and this process is indeed accelerated or slowed down to some extent by these traits. However, I still feel the transition period from initial reverse speed to high speed is somewhat too fast. Perhaps more granular control could be considered?
Especially when changing direction while reversing—if you hold down the key continuously, you can make the vehicle spin rapidly in place like a whirlwind. In contrast, the steering speed when moving forward isn‘t as fast.
Ace_Proto Sep 19 @ 11:56pm
that worked, thank you
Black_moons  [author] Sep 19 @ 11:39pm
@明明灭灭 Yes, speed demon just makes the throttle go full throttle almost instantly and lets off the throttle slowly lol. Try removing it in debug mode as it doesn't really have any huge benefit with my mod (yet) as the transmissions shift more or less instantly.

@Ace_Proto: I feel like your copying far too much. just the "zombie" folder!
Ace_Proto Sep 19 @ 10:08pm
every time I manually install the mod exactly how it is described (windows) the ui text gets messed up and shows ex. "IGUI_InventoryTooltip" all text ui will be like this
明明灭灭 Sep 19 @ 9:50pm
Actually, I hadn't noticed that I've been playing with the Speed Demon trait all along. In terms of its effects, it might indeed increase the difficulty of vehicle handling, making it less beginner-friendly? I often use KI5's vehicle mods, and the one I use most frequently is the Nissan Stagea 260RS Autech, which has around 600 horsepower. I've clearly noticed that it steers very quickly when reversing. I previously used a related mod called Reversing Rebalance [B42 Compatible], but it's not installed now.
If it helps, I can assist with testing, though my English isn't great, especially when it comes to automotive terminology. Your mod seems to allow individual parameter settings for each vehicle, but it's a bit difficult for me to understand. Therefore, if your mod could offer some simple checkbox options, it might be more helpful for players like me who prioritize gameplay over full realism.
Black_moons  [author] Sep 19 @ 2:51pm
Using partial throttle (ie, tapping the throttle button) on the automatic will make it upshift, dropping RPM's and saving fuel yes.

So will using cruise control.

I'll look into what I can do about reverse and overall fine control of high power cars at low speeds.
Can you try giving yourself 'sunday driver' trait and tell me if its easier to control at low speeds?
明明灭灭 Sep 19 @ 1:46pm
Of course, if you don't mind. I'm always frustrated by how high-horsepower vehicles reverse too fast and crash into walls. Since I'm not very familiar with automotive terminology, I just use this mod's default parameters for gameplay. It would be better for me if there were some simpler settings to significantly reduce the reverse speed.
Additionally, the mod description mentions that automatic transmission can save fuel—is this actually effective in the game?
