Because steam gave me German version because I live in Germany. And I made this mod in the first place for German players. Sorry.

Indeed, a very happy saturnalia! And blackstar, I wasn't nitpicking. I just was messing around a bit; so sorry, but it's kinda hard to get my personality across through text. I apologize for any fuses I may have lit in trying to be humorous.

Merry christmas, to you
and everyone else

And again, thanks everyone for trying this mod.
If you think something should be changed, please let me know.

Kind regards,

It just gets on my nerves when people nitpick someone's hard work and dont actually even know what they are talking about >_>

blackstar48 I like your style of posting, hehe.

Well yeah I mean it was obvious to me from the very beginning that there will be some people who will not like this mod.

Still, my goal is to make the game feel as realistic as possible. For me, and for everyone willing to try the mod. So I am always open for suggestions what should be changed.
Just post concerning what and I will think about it.

Kind Regards,
M

Bretons literally have the most useless powers anyways. As Michael said, YOU CAN GET THEM FROM A STANDING STONE. Most of the other powers you can only achieve late game, and you still need to do specific things to get some of them. Disbalanced the armours? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU GOING ON ABOUT!? Light and Heavy should NOT be the same, or even any where close to it, in terms of defense. You are also wrong with glass being better than iron. No matter how you craft glass, it breaks when hit. HOW IS THAT GOOD DEFENSE!? Even if you put the glass on a steel/iron backing, the glass breaks on hit. The glass doesnt save your ass, its the metal that does.

Lore-wise, Alan, please tell me where it says people CANNOT learn the shouts. Greybeards say it takes a long time, yes. Even years for one full power shout. But guess what? I can almost guarantee NONE of these people are by any means young. Considering its a Nord historical thing to know shouts, why would some Nords NOT learn a shout or two? Hell, why wouldnt people who know of the shouts existance not learn one? No one is "not supposed" to know any shouts. Dunmer and Bosmer, Lore-wise, have always been said to have better vision at night. So how is giving them a perk they always whould have had breaking lore? If anything NOT giving them that power is breaking lore.

Meh... I just like arguing for the sake of arguing.

So, what is your point? You love my mod except the fact I changed supernatural bretons to normal humans? In that case, I could give them their powers back.
Leon Mercury Dec 17, 2014 @ 4:42pm
How's it supernatural? They're just really good at trading... and who would take that standing stone when you can have a breton and pick another stone instead?
Kani1111  [author] Dec 17, 2014 @ 10:46am
Read the books about Barenziahs life. Its mentionned multiple times that Dunmer and Bosmer can see in the dark way better than humans.

About NPCs, my work is not done yet. I will redo every single NPC in the following weeks so that they fit their role. So master trainers will be masters in their discipline, have all the perks, spells and shouts that a master should know/ have. Same for expert trainers.

I have chosen Bretons for a simple reason. You can get their powers by touching a standing stone. And I wanted a race for players who want to play a normal, not supernatural character.

I did not even touch light armors. They are as overpowered as they always have been. I made heavy armour slightly better, thats it, because heavy armour deserved a buff.

Oh, I didn't even notice the breton part! Sudenly, I dislike this mod, as there was a reason behind the bretons' abilities; all lore-based.
Alan Godwin Dec 16, 2014 @ 1:31pm
Soooo... You made some NPCs know shouts they're not supposed to (even in the lore, not only in-game), you gave Dunmer and Bosmer powers that they don't have in the lore (night vision), you removed the completely lore-based Breton powers, you disbalanced armors (glass, albeit light, is indeed a very good material, way better than iron)...
...and you call that "lore-friendly" ?
Man, you don't know what you're talkin about. This is ridiculous.
Leon Mercury Dec 14, 2014 @ 5:27pm
Indeed... it was a joke, though.
Kani1111  [author] Dec 14, 2014 @ 6:55am
Well, dont get me wrong. I love this game. But in about 2.000 hours of playtime I noticed a few things that dont make much sense. So I have decided to learn how the creation kit works and to solve those issues.
Dovahkiins Fire Breath is just one example. How can it be that an apprentice fire mage, or just anyone who read a book on how to conjure a fire atronach can be more dangerous than the Fire Breath of the one and only Man-Dragon-superhero? On default difficulty, the Dovahkiins enemies, especially those with a weakness to fire, now will understand that they should have taken the chance to run away when they could. On legendary difficulty, they still will get an impression about what its like to face a dragon.

Added better sleeping bonus, see above or check the update note.

I read the part about increasing power of the fire shout, and I suddenly started thinking, "some people just like to watch the world burn..."
