Heya, I've noticed I can recruit the wako medium bune in provinces without the pirate cove. Not the wako kobaya, that seams to be working correctly. If there anything else I need to do with load order or installation, other then subscribing?

For some reason the sound of the arrows being shot from some ships like the medium bune and the nihon maru sound like cannon shots

Have you guys been able to sink anything? even with ''Sink threshold" mods don't think I've seem ships sinks more than once or twice.

@Flightless, It's good for the sake of setting fires. It also tends to knock crew off smaller boats but it's not fantastic at that. It's not as OP as loading HE on wooden and copper plate in FoTS.

Something I've noticed is that Siege Tower Bunes now always take 2 turns to recruit, and for some reason even when I fight naval battles manually I always end up losing at least half of the gunners. Is there something that tweaks them, or might it be a bug from me installing this mod halfway through my modded campaign?

Now this mod is not fully compatible with "Unofficial Shogun 2 Patch 1.7" and "Arrowcannon_sound_fix" since the AI switches to projectiles that have no sound (ships with guns). Without mods to correct the sound, the sound of shots from "Cannon Bune" disappears.

for next update you should add unique versions of the new units for the mori clan, bonuses like more accuracy, men, morale and reload rate (also i just tested and yes it is compatible with matchlock navy mod)

Using this mod without the Saya mod results in Boshin units such as Hatamoto or Shogitai fighting with the sheath on

@William09703 Yes. Because they're modded in by adding them to the recruitment options for the red seal company. It's a much easier way of adding units to campaigns and tbh it's not a particularly useful unit in Custom battle anyway. Nor do many people play custom battles ftm.

@Lego Grasshopper I got the same problem with Fear | kgp227, however in custom battle it's already like that. Red Seal ship seems not function correctly. I'm pretty sure that the mod have no other conflicts, perhaps the modded red seal ship only available in campaign?

@Fear if you recruited Red Seals on a campaign *BEFORE* installing the mod, they are separate ships, under the same name, that have had their marines equipped with muskets. You need to recruit *NEW* red seals, that will come with cannons. The "stock" red seals (without cannons) becomes unavailable to recruit while the mod is installed.

There seems to be a problem with the Red Seal Ships, looking at their stats their cannon range is set to 0. When you take them into a battle they have no cannons aboard their ships.

The unsheathed swords mod was bugging The_Yogi S2TW Artillery Unit Pack REBALANCED. the VOC was allowing me to recruit stuff it shouldn't until I started mixing and testing mod combinations.

Yogi, I really love your mods, and this one has been no different. Ie. I know you put work and effort in, lots of it. Which makes me feel entitled when I ask, "Will you ever consider a separate mod similar to when this mode was just the red seal with cannons and one or two extras?" (Such as you left the Oar fix as a separate mod)
I don't really enjoy being able to build Nanban traders as Buddhist, or watch the AI doing the same. When I sacrificed Bow Warrior Monks to become Christian... Ie. "Why become Christian anymore?"
TLDR, do you think you'll want/have the time to ever split the mod, re-balance it further?

I've found out WHY the trebuchet ship doesn't work. you've missed a line of code

in db/gun_type_to_projectile_tables you lack the line for mangonels, making them not have a projectile, hence why everyone says it doesn't work

the reason a few pages in that SOME have made it work, is because the line required exists in your "fire siphon" ship mod

if you use the 2 mods together, it works

i tried copying the line over and guess what, it works

you might not care enough about this very old mod to update it, but i wanted to at least let the commentors know how to fix this

Hey there. Not sure if this mod is the problem, but has anyone else had trouble capturing The Black Ship after installing this mod? I've managed to get it to surrender and yet after the battle it tells me the ship is lost.

Hello, this is a great mod. But there is one problem... Some units fight with sheathed swords. The problem is solved by installing the mod "Saya - The Blade and Its Sheath". But even that doesn't solve the error if I install "Jaki's Unique Factions". In it, most units fight with sheathed swords. The problem is specifically in the "S2TW Naval Mod" because if you run only "Saya - The Blade and Its Sheath" everything is ok.
I'm completely confused trying to solve this problemma.:OhNoBlue:

I heard you added guns to ships for the Morning Calm mod. Do you think you can create a separate mod that add cannons to atakabunes and heavy bunes for the Shogun 2 game just like in history when Oda Nobunaga added cannons to the "Tekkōsen" (鉄甲船)?

I found a curious bug caused by the mod.
For some reason, Generals and their Bodyguards all fight with sheathed swords in land battles.
I haven't tested campaigns but it happens in custom battles/skirmishes.

I don't know if it is just my game, but when I go into Third Person Shooting Mode for ships with Cannons, I cannot move around to aim them. It is stuck at aiming forward. I can move the ship by WASD though.

There is something else that I think it could be a part of this mod. Provinces with fletchers that provide bonus to accuracy for ranged units doesn't affect ship crews produced at those provinces. Would that be possible? Or you tested it and the + 25 accuracy provided by Hunting camps and Fletchers is too much?

Hallo @The_Yogi, this mod is amazing great job! :D

But I would like to say I found something odd that you might want to look at, the Firebomb Mangonel Bune's range is abysmal compared to the rest of the ships. With it's missile range being 60 and not identical to the land one, which I thought would be correct when having a mangonel on a ship.

Plus the in the campaign, with the Red Seal Ship. The unit card says it has cannons, and yes in the custom battles it has cannons but as soon as I go into battle in the campaign. The cannons are listed as 0(Destroyed)

I don't know if the other ships might have similar discrepancies but is this a weird problem with the mod or something else?

The firebomb kobaya's mines need a buff. They seem to do very little damage to crew or hulls. I had an enemy medium bune tank 3 of them and only get an orange hull.

I really like this mod. But, I can't enjoy it because of the swords bug. The fact is that in the original it is not very noticeable, some officers have a scabbard on their sword, this is unpleasant. But I use the mod "Jaki's Unique Factions" and in it it becomes simply unacceptable (the Hattori clan breaks completely ... almost all swords have scabbards). "Saya and Ebira (Sheath and quiver)" partially fixes the problem, but it does nothing with new or reworked units. I'm pretty sure that you used elements from this mod to create some ships, which is why this problem appears (the same applies to the S2TW Artillery Unit Pack).
It's a shame that because of this error this mod becomes incompatible with almost any mod that adds or modifies squads (no, the game works great, but fighting with foot squads very much spoils the atmosphere).

Ok, I figured out why the Nanban Caravel was not buildable. The VOC harbor has the regular Nanban Trade Ship instead. Easy fix if you have PFM. Just go in under db, then building_units_allowed_tables, voc_building_units_allowed. In the table, find both Galleon_Caravel entries and edit both to Galleon_Caravel_Dutch. Also, delete the line with Galleon_Caravel_Mori. Very easy fix.
Also the black ship is buildable, which I don't think Yogi intended to do considering his wording for the Nanban Carrack? Same area, just select vn_building_units_allowed and delete the entry with Galleon_The_Black_Ship. It is at the bottom of the list.

Quick question, how did you get the AI to recruit custom naval units? Current mod i'm working on the AI doesn't recruit custom naval units even though i can.

I did some testing and cannot get the Nanban Caravel to be buildable. Everything works fine between this and your artillery mod. I am not sure what is causing this but I did play around with some of the values a bit to no success. Yogi, please help.

It seems your mod works for some clans and not others which is really weird.
