"Also, you, with an animated avatar YouTube channel, are not really in a place to scrutinize my previous uploads." Oh no, you mortally wound me by repeating my own profile description back to me! Obviously I lack self-awareness to give such a description publicly to myself, how could you make fun of me so harshly? I demand immediate satisfaction for this totally personal attack of mean words on the internet!
^ That's how you're sounding. Chill out. Your mod is mid. Peace.
No, there is nothing wrong with pointing out flaws in this mod, there isn’t even anything wrong with calling it mid. In fact, I agree, it wasn’t meant to be anything else. What irks me about your criticism is that you’re arguing that the mod shouldn’t exist in the first place. Why not allow it to exist as a mid mod? Why do you have to insist on the mod not existing at all because it’s not up to your standards?
Also, you, with an animated avatar YouTube channel, are not really in a place to scrutinize my previous uploads.
This is a really weird defense you're trying to take up against people pointing out flaws and leveling criticism. Especially because I (and everyone else) can see all your previous mods of also-repackaged vanilla assets for Arma 3. You've uploaded quite a few "faction" mods since early 2023, why are you pretending this is your first mod? Even if it was true, it's not a defense, but it's not even true. You're just lying to... save face on the internet, I guess? It's weird, dude.
People are going to call out mid when you post mid, even with your post-criticism "disclaimer." Maybe wait until you're an adult to post stuff so you can handle criticism better? Or at least learn how to make original assets so people will have some work to respect and enjoy? For now take your L.
People said mean things about you on the internet and called out your mid mod. Cry harder and you'll make everyone retract their mean words, it totally works that way.
Also, your assessment is just blatantly false. The factions I made, such as the insurgent factions, which you may have seen had you not used like 1 faction and then gone on this ridiculous tirade, are completely different from any existing faction in Arma. So yes, it is Arma 3 vanilla and Aegis content reorganized, but I didn’t advertise it as anything else.
Actually, you didn't even make that much. The flags/patches are just ripped from LoopDeLoopers mod. What's the point of this mod if it adds nothing new and just uses vanilla assets with someone else's mod work? Mid, dude.
A few things that might want a rework though if you are planning on giving this an upgrade later.
The main factions, Union and Constitutional govenrnment could use a bit more variety in their unifroms. Having both sides head to toe in marpat makes them very same-y, which i get is part of the point with a civil war mod, but maybe consider having one side in more army themed camo vs the other in MARPAT? Texas could similarly have more arid/desert themed uniforms.
Either the Communist factions or the Ultra-nationalist factions might make more sense in the INDFOR faction grouping, since right now the APLA cant fight the Confederacy for example, which feels weird.
It might also be cool to add bit from a colored armband mod, since IRL those seem to be the way armies are starting to identify themselves when fighting against similarly camo-ed armies.
