Can I get a load order for these mods? My Genie has never looked good. My Genie looks like he has a giant bald cap on and you can see the line where his head ends and if you put hair on him it's under the bald cap. I have tried all kinds of different load orders.

ty for making this mod even though im not 100% sold on some of the stylistic choices like the shine on the genie and gaunt heads (though they might be growing on me ...)

I should add, this is not to say this is bad, works great for what its saying it does, just doesn't fit the style i'm looking for.

@Eclipse I found if you're using the base NL facial animation, rather than vanilla textures expanded animation, its doesn't look great primarily because the head shapes are going to be different. This utilizes the vanilla shapes and thus things like Phytokin for example are going to have massive heads compared to the rest of your colonists.
So for me it was a no-go because i use a couple HAR races with built-in anime styles so keeping my colony semi-consistent in style was more important.

Enjoying it so far, pairs great with all the VE races, only thing is insector heads are super pixelated from upscaling, I'd go trace them in illustrator myself and toss em your way but I dont have illustrator :steamsad:

Mod is too worth it to drop it over small stuff like that though :steamhappy:

@Sunshiney Days Turns out just making every instance of "shaderColorOverride" in "HeadTypeDefs_Roos_Faun" active fixed my issues. Seems to work fine now.

Is there a possible fix for Roo's Faun's being incompatible with Facial Animation - Experimentals? The eyelids are transparent.

Yep Framework is not needed.

So, my understanding is that FA has built-in support for this mod now and we don't need the Framework mod anymore in 1.6 to make this one work.

If so, the mod itself is still listing a dependency on the now-obsolete framework mod. Probably not an issue, but just making sure I've got this right.

@Troublesomeknight, the system works just fine for any style of head. FA heads don't have genes assigned to them--haven't needed to, since there wasn't a system to recognize it. To have the right head show up, the genes need to be added in an xml patch

Okay, I asked in the wrong place since Unagi already has their own compatibility patch for Vanilla Biotech. How well does this work with less vanilla styled facial animation mods like Unagi's
