Update:
•1.5 now uses the new MapComponent logic, reducing lag.
•1.5 now has all Mod Options available.
Crow  [author] 17 hours ago
@Stryyyder You're on 1.5? I just checked and for some reason the warning isn't there, I think things got messed up when I updated to 1.6 and things got mixed, sorry about that. I'll work on a fix rn.
Crow  [author] 17 hours ago
@Stryyyder It says it right next to the options that Anomaly is required.
Stryyyder 19 hours ago
yes that i what i am referring to
Crow  [author] 20 hours ago
@Stryyyde You only need Anomaly for the bunny multiplier.
Stryyyder 20 hours ago
please consider adding a hover-over in the mod settings mentioning that you need anomaly </3 i killed her

@Björne Update the mod by unsubscribing and subscribing again, I had forgotten to add the fixes to 1.5 but its all fixed now.
Björne Jun 21 @ 12:11pm
I started a run in v1.5 without any of the game’s DLCs, and thirty minutes later there were at least ten bunnies eating away at my stash of rations. I was killed by a manhunter bunny within those thirty minutes. They didn’t eat any filth. :(
Crow  [author] Jun 21 @ 10:49am
@ahnkra I am a Sims 4 player, hehe. Everything below seems to be fixed and you should be okay as long as you don't enable the multiply option(It's off by default). I can't really tweak it right now because I lost access to Anomaly.
ahnkra Jun 21 @ 10:01am
I am getting serious Sims 4 vibes from this mod lol. I really want to sub, but I am scarred by some of the comments. I would like an alternative to having to start my games with a 'summoner' and using those floating meatballs to handle all the colony cleaning,.. but are these guys still taking over the map?
RoughXvr Jun 18 @ 2:40am
Working better after a reinstall, they die now finally.
Crow  [author] Jun 17 @ 7:47pm
Update:
•Dust Bunnies now only eat Kibble and FIlth
•Dust Bunnies will now spawn in smaller numbers
•Dust Bunnies now breed less Dust Puppies.
•Improved cleaning code by using a MapComponent instead of relying on individual checks.
•Removed Debug Text.

@MrXarous Those are some good suggestions, I'll be testing some of those tomorrow. The logs weren't supposed to be showing unless you have debug mode active so I'll be taking a second look at them too.
Having them not eat anything was my original idea from the start, but I was afraid they'd starve too easily but I'll try it out and see if it's feasible.
MrXarous Jun 17 @ 2:09pm
What's the tps impact on these guys? Just starting a new game in 1.6 and nine were in the wild already and in the first 2 mins they had over 5000 lines in the log with around 227 calls for clean filth. I guess they couldn't find any to sate their hunger as they then bolted to my colonist trying to haul all the scattered meals and each one ate a .9 nutrition meal for their .18 hunger.

Would it be better to increase their eco weight so not so many would be on the map at the same time?

Do they actually sustain themselves off filth if they find some? If so, wouldn't it be best to have your call for the cleaning but change their diet to None or at least OmnivoreRoughAnimal so they'd eat live plants and possibly not my food while I'm trying to get started?

If they eat food can I just change the mtb from .2 to something higher for their cleaning?
Crow  [author] Jun 17 @ 10:23am
Just added two buttons to the mod settings:

•Kill All Bunnnies
•Kill Only Wild Bunnies

If you have way too many in your map, simply click one of those and the problem will be taken care of. Don't forget to unsubscribe and subscribe for the update, the button is available on both 1.5 and 1.6
RoughXvr Jun 17 @ 3:06am
The world is ending, not in war, but in dust bunnies.... i need help they keep dividing i did toogle off, they keep sending manhunter pulses making them insane i have more than 100 off those devils in the map!
Crow  [author] Jun 16 @ 11:39am
@Creed Diskenth Hey there! How many bunnies did you have on the map? Was debug mode on? Just so I know how to proceed regarding this.
Creed Diskenth Jun 16 @ 10:43am
Hey. Love your mod, I was playing with it on a new 1.6 run, late game there was a huge drop in tps from your mod, I took a look at the debug log at that time, it seems that the game was evaluating cleaning task for dust bunnies too much and that kinda tanked the tps. Not sure if this was reported or not but thought i'd leave it here. But on other note great mod love that my base is squeaky clean haha
Crow  [author] Jun 11 @ 8:51pm
Fix has been released, the bunnies are cleaning again!
I don't have access to Anomaly for now so the bunny multiplier test will have to wait, do let me know if it's bugging out tho!
Crow  [author] Jun 11 @ 8:24pm
Dust Bunnies is confirmed broken on 1.6.
I'm working on a fix right now.
Crow  [author] Jun 9 @ 12:00pm
@SadPlastic Please update the mod by unsubscribing and subscribing again.
SadPlastic Jun 9 @ 6:09am
It's a bit tricky because when my colonists kill a dust bunny, it multiplies into 3.. now my colony is full of dust bunnys with low fps lol. Is there way I can disable the multiplies bunny?.. The only option is only changed sound options
Crow  [author] Jun 7 @ 9:10pm
@Ariexe Check the mod settings, there's an option to either change it or disable it. If you don't have the mod option, unsubscribe and subscribe again to update.
Ariexe Jun 7 @ 5:19pm
is there a way to mute the sounds the dust bunnies make when eating dirt? it sounds like a really fast digging SFX at high speed and its kind of annoying and makes streaming difficult.
Scald Jun 5 @ 5:18pm
Vanyor kill the dust bunnies for fun
Crow  [author] Jun 5 @ 5:12pm
@Vanyor There's been an update earlier today where the bunny explosions are optional.
Vanyor Jun 5 @ 5:00pm
Hello, I just found out your mod from reddit. I'm def going to add it but I saw a problem with them multiplying infinitely and making the game run like a PowerPoint presentation, do you have plans to limit their quantity? Like a mod config or something? I want to spare my PC if possible but they look so cute XD
Scald Jun 5 @ 1:10pm
I'm their predator(s)
Crow  [author] Jun 5 @ 11:50am
Update is out!

•Bunnies Explosions added back, check the mod menu to enable them.
•Thanks to Dizzy, they won't be hunted by predators anymore!
Scald Jun 5 @ 11:27am
I kill them for fun
Dizzy Jun 5 @ 9:12am
and just to offset the complaints, i want to say my immediate reaction to seeing the "bunnies now explode into more bunnies" changelog was to share it in discord with the comment "i wish i was this smart"
Dizzy Jun 5 @ 9:11am
you could also consider adding <canBePredatorPrey>false</canBePredatorPrey> under <race>, which stops them from being hunted for food.
Necrosx Jun 4 @ 6:24pm
Thanks for that! I appreciate it.
Crow  [author] Jun 4 @ 6:14pm
@Necrosx I'll take a second try at it tomorrow, then! ♥

@scalien_prime <3
scalien_prime Jun 4 @ 5:47pm
LOL. It was annoying but amusing while it lasted. Thank you for fixing it. I like the mod.
Necrosx Jun 4 @ 4:28pm
Yeah, I saw.
Might I suggest putting it back in, but have that option off by default, instead putting the option to toggle it on?
Like I said, I was looking forward to having them explode and multiply! But I completely understand if you dont want to after all the complaints.
Crow  [author] Jun 4 @ 4:06pm
@Necrosx They would only explode on death, pretty much. I just ended up removing it, too many complaints even though I added an option to disable it lmao
Necrosx Jun 4 @ 3:19pm
Darn, I was looking forward to bunny explosions this evening.
A shame. Maybe put the multiplication on cooldown?
Crow  [author] Jun 4 @ 9:53am
Removed the code, please unsubscribe and subscribe to update.
ShareThePain Jun 4 @ 9:38am
damn it, there are over 1000 on my map of the small ones
Crow  [author] Jun 4 @ 9:35am
I'll just remove the code, I guess. Update coming soon.
FallenangelMB Jun 4 @ 3:10am
Dear god. A predator got the scent of one of them and in a day, there were hundreds.
cat piss Jun 4 @ 1:19am
they so cute but got damn they multiply like rabbits on viagra
samwithham Jun 3 @ 11:53pm
having the same issue, i look away for a moment and there are hundreds of them
scalien_prime Jun 3 @ 9:02pm
I'm in the first week of a new play through and have over 350 bunnies on the map. They explode when any die and the predators are having a field day blowing up bunnies.

You mentioned there should be and option to turn the exploding off in the menu? I'm only seeing the option to change the sound? Am I looking in the wrong place?
Crow  [author] Jun 3 @ 5:36pm
@That Crow with a Knife Check the mod menu for an option to turn it off, you have to restart the game after checking it.
That Crow with a Knife Jun 3 @ 2:06pm
Not sure why, but mid-game they just started to multiply rapidly because anytime one dies they just explode into 3-4 more, with no way to get rid of them. Unsure if this is some intended effect or if there's a bug
Crow  [author] Jun 3 @ 11:47am
@timetrees I couldn't replicate the error at all, but I tweaked the code a bit for them to be more dynamic. Hope it fixes your issue!
Crow  [author] Jun 2 @ 10:24am
@timetrees They shouldn't be doing that at all, I'll investigate soon and let you know.
timetrees Jun 1 @ 2:17pm
So I downloaded this but so far it seems like the bunnies aren't cleaning floors - they seem to be creating normal animal filth instead & eat food out of my storage (tamed or not). Is there a way for me to fix this or is this normal?
