It would be cool if the mod made some containers to spawn opened along with a sandbox option to choose the % of them appearing opened. It would be more immersive.

@carlesturo Can you make this mod visually compatible with "Post Flag"? Because when we open the mailbox, the flag is not lowered. It just keeps the lid open. That is, it's as if your mod is disabling the post flag mod (probably because there is no open lid model with the flag down in your mod). Could you make an adjustment for those who like to use both mods?

H @carlesturo i. I like the mod a lot!. Thanks for making it, should be vanilla!. However while adding and removing other mods i accidentally removed this and now all my containers textures are invisible (as described in the mod description). Unfortunatelly, re-enabling the mod did not fix it. How Could i fix it?

unsub. sorry but after every single time it keeps opening all shelfs that i walk by it gets extremely annoying to close them every time. if you want more chaos than go for it guys.
I read the description, but I didn't disable the mod! I noticed that first my furniture disappeared and then my mailbox.
My mail and kitchen furniture became invisible! Please help me how to fix this!

@CoopDawgTV it's not something that can be fixed. That's just what happens when you remove a mod that alters the games textures

@SP4RTAN – Thanks for answering people’s questions. A lot of them don’t read the description, it’s strange.
@Jaxx - pshoooo – Yes, I plan to make it compatible in the future.
@bambam – For it to work like in the last gif, you need to manually change the overlay using Decoholic. Still, this is one of the things I need to properly fix so that the issue doesn’t happen and people don’t have to change it manually with another mod. I think the load order doesn’t matter.
@Grabin @DissKorse – I don’t know if I’ll be able to do that, but I’ll try. For now, you can close them using the key, or when you’re at your base, switch to the autoClose option, and when you go exploring, disable it again.
@konte1m – That might be happening because you look into the container and stop looking too quickly. The mod checks whether it should open a container every 60 ticks — roughly once per second.

small visual incompatibility with PePePePeil's Post Flag, a mailbox that has items in its inventory will double-render until it's empty, then this mod's textures will be the only one rendered. terrific mod that i expect will get integrated into vanilla at some point

You really should fix the "no longer visible" thing when deleting the mod, I double checked that all my containers were closed and they still disappeared :steamthumbsdown:

I have the same mods as my friends but whenever I open containers they appear much much bigger and change texture placement - original container is there, it's invisible but the texture is misplaced - only I got this problem, why?

@carletsuro - so your mod description states:

...you can close or open it by pressing the 'E' key

So, I get that the default interact key in Project Zomboid is E so for right-handers there's no problem, but for us left-handers who have had to rebind it, it is not possible to also rebind this mod's interaction to the same key - any chance we can get a visible button in the container inventory to help us out? Or better yet, allow a secondary click to close the container?

First off, I just wanted to say your mod is incredible, it adds so much immersion, especially during those frantic looting sessions. Amazing work!

I had a quick question, I'm not sure how things are technically set up, but is there a way to apply the "auto-close" feature to only specific containers? Right now, it seems to apply to all containers, but I love the feature for my safe-house containers, while I prefer to leave the "opened" overlay for looted houses to help keep track.

Would it be possible to set this rule for specific containers rather than all of them?

this is just a perfect mod, i love you for it, but literally in the first minute of using it i had noticed that the containers open only when you come close to them but you're still able to reach for them without opening them, which seems odd to me personally. Also, i wish there was a chance for some of the cabinets on the map to be randomly opened and such.

@Sonador @Fevernov - I don’t think I’ll release any new updates until August.
You’re right about not being able to rotate some containers, it happens with certain ones and not others, and I’m not sure why. If you close the container, you should be able to rotate it.
Containers disappearing isn’t a bug, there’s nothing I can do about that. Any mod that adds new tiles will cause those tiles to disappear if the mod is removed.

I think this mod is causing some objects to not let me rotate them. I wish to uninstall it but with the invisible bug i'm not doing it. I hope you can solve either the problems. Are you currently working on the mod? The suggestion from @GestumStage to add sounds it's good too!

I uninstalled this mod and it caused all containers with open doors to disappear. They're still there ingame, thankfully, I didn't lose any stuff, but objects like sinks and microwaves that were previously on cabinets in my kitchen, for example, are now on the floor, and the containers are now invisible, even after enabling the mod again.

could you add an option for containers auto-closing but with the condition that it only closes if their are items inside. I think it its pretty cool when you loot a building and all the containers are open and empty, but I like the auto-close feature for player base stuff.

@nlyrtnl - Yes, I’m aware of that. It’s a bit strange, and I’m not sure I’ll explain it well. The game places overlays on containers to give them more variety. I don’t know exactly how it does it, but the problem is that the container doesn’t detect that it has one — and on top of that, I can’t remove the overlay from the square it’s in. I can find it, but I can’t do anything with it.
One workaround is to have Decoholic installed. If you manually change the container’s overlay, then you won’t have this problem when opening it.

@Partizanos - Yes, that’s what happens when the mod is removed while containers are open. I mention it in the description.

@rafinhA - I haven’t encountered this error myself. I’ll take a closer look. If the error does exist, try closing the container before dismantling it, at least until it gets fixed.

@FeFePlay - Do it by selecting the container and pressing the E key, or whichever key you’ve set.
