hi i have a realy good idea that i would like to propos as a slightly joint colaberation (just as i dont have any programing skills) just the idea, motivation (and audio production skills not realy usful for this idea)

is there natural spwaning Black Diamond or do you have to to put it in the game our selfs ?

I had figured it out, lol. Just got into modding with no experience, but with reverse engineering, I was able to learn how to mod any content in the "content" folder. I figured out how to add the diamond a month ago. :P Hence the material on my custom planet, lol.

black diamod -> ecoin, ecoins -> components, components - > econis

and now you can choose what you will use - ECOIN or CREDIT

CREDIT is same as ECOIN but only new name

You can get ecoins from black diamod, buy components and exchanger returning components on ecoins

So can i get coins by selling the components to the shop or i can only buy things from it?

ex: if i had some steel plates could i turn them into coins to buy something else?

Like the idea and definately like Sektan's work but, yeah it constanty crashes my invidia drivers (both versions of this mod)

Constantly crashes the game, crashes my nvidia driver and has blue screened me. Do not use till it's updated.

One of the updates has broken this mod. Everytime I try to load a world with it turned on, and I go in to a location that can view open space, it crashes my game.

It may have something to do with the Black Diamond ore in that case.

Just a heads up. I have to stop using it until fixed. :(

Todays update is giving this a critical error

I want to see cargo ships with the exchangers inside them, and I want an exchange rate for all components and ore types, both buy and sell, with buy always being like 25% > selling. maybe even a patch with better stone mod, and without the ability to place the exchanger from the G-menu, you have to capture the trade ship with the exchanger in it

whats difference between this and S ECOIN ADM?

Awesome mod, but please add a functionality where you can edit the exchange rates, this way it can produce a real economy, and it doesnt feel like cheating in SP.

It woud also be cool if you could handle assembling and dissasembling rates differently, so that you lose money when trading.

I like the idea of this mod, but if you have access to an exchanger, you can use it to get whatever materials you want. If I only have access to Iron, for example, and make lots of steel plates, these can be disassembled into Ecoins, which can then be used to purchase any other components, which can then be either used or even disassembled in an assembler to get the other ingots.

So what's the point in having any other kinds of ores if I can just spam one component and convert from there?

Am I missing something?

Hey, I tried out this mod and thought the idea was pretty cool, but unfortunately the whoe Ecoin thing did not work well, because when I tried to craft certain blocks in my assembler it would just show Ecion instead of the ingots normally needed. I was just wondering if you could fix this, other than that I really like the mod, makes player-player trading easier by far.

then again you cant buy components with his. his is meant for player to player trades i'd say.

Money in games is such a generic idea i had that idea even before your first mod came out sektan. but i cant mod so i never did it.

To be honest I also prefer his mod because it does not add another material or block to the game.

It seems a little more plausable to drop a miniscule amount of Diamond when refining some other ore(s). For example Stone = 0.9 Stone(Gravel), 0.001 Diamond or something with a higher rarity than stone.

I have noticed I cannot use the Dissassemble All feature in the assembler when i have this mod installed in both gamemodes.

Note: When I removed the mod from the world the Dissassemble All worked

With this, the ownership would have to be set to nobody, and a different session would have to be created for every user that used the ECOIN trading system at the same time.

If we could make this block only placed by admins and indestructible, we could place it in the center of a server map and easily create an trade system. To make this more interactive I would love it if the mod allowed players to input components which could be sold for ECOINS as well.

i.e (Theoretically)
If player one took advantage of a "gold mine" they could produce more computers than another player (player two) that couldn't get their hands on gold but got hold of black diamond. Player 1 could then sell the computers at lower price than the default ECOIN dispenser would cost. Player one would have so many computers that he/she could afford to sell at a lower price. Player 2 can now purchase more computers for his/her money and it creates a trading environment. Player 1, now having lots of black diamond can buy any material from the ECOIN dispenser and is not limited to solely owning computers based off of other resource availability.

It really is an awesome mod, I feel though, what would sell it for everyone... would be to:

1. Have a way for only the Server Admin be able to build one, or to allow anyone to build one.
2. Make it possible for an Admin to add/update/change the prices for items for other mods they are running on their server, or to just change the prices as they see fit on their server. Mods like this give a great boost to servers, however, admins should be able to change things such as prices. Otherwise, it's unusable for a modded server.

If you get me a list of things you currently have set up for buy/sell, I can put it into an excel document for you to use online as a link that people could go to with alll your updated prices. Feel free to send me a friend invite, and a message if you're interested.
