Ironically, this mod crashes when you dig up the new clay tiles added in 42.3

Does this work on existing saves? I don't want to have to start a new run to get clay

Nevermind seems I was just unlucky the first tries. It works like a charm.

Cannot get it to work. I have tried with sack, empty sand bag, and spade in my inventory, and equipped in primary / secondary. I don't get an option to dig for clay, just the usual options like "take some dirt".

No, as far as I know the ground won't regenerate, you will need to move far from your base area to not disrupt the ground there.

Its much better now, you do get a ton more clay.

Nvm I updated it, if you got a worm it meant you would not get a clay so the actual chance to get clay was less than I thought. Sorry about that. should get a ton more clay now. like 33% chance for clay now.

the intention of this mod is not to make clay instantly obtainable, but provide an alternative to foraging for clay.

when you have a sand bag that gives you the option to fill with sand, gravel and dirt you have a chance to get clay. it can be tedious and you can get unlucky because it’s based on a random roll. you may have to empty your bags and dig repeatedly. I believe there is another mod that makes clay a crafting recipe so you might try that out if that’s more what you’re looking for !

how does this mod even work i thought when u right clicked a dirt tile you can instantly dig clay but theres no option for it does this work???

How DO you get clay in vanilla?

Thanks, works great, but its super tedious to gather enough for all the new recipes. The chance to find clay could be upped a little.
