and now im not having the issue anymore, no idea what changed

having an issue. after the initial player spawn before any bots have spawned, the player is put on top of an unmanned copter, outside the copter. both fall down. no bots come to pilot it while it's falling. only happens during this initial spawn, not afterwards during the game.
might be a map specific issue? consistently happens at the vanilla island map.
currently using panchuet's ai overhaul and a few mutators, no multiskins.

And after some even further testing I found that they don't land, they just float over the point, I'm using Vanilla Plus if that means anything

After some further testing, they drop them off, go strafe with miniguns, then come back and pick them up.

For some reason, all the helicopters just land in one point, that has already been taken, hoping for some help on this.

@Galdin Ah I see! Thank you so much for clarifying the issue. By the way, if you accidentally click F1 (driver position) it will also make every vehicle occupant your teammate. ^^

The issue was that I was using another mutator that automatically assigned nearby troops to my squad so everyone in the helicopter would become part of my squad LOL

How many helicopters are there at the same contesting site? If there are too many transport helicopters at the same place, there can be issues with landing. Try to turn on procedural HLZ or similar options.

@conanmonan91 Hi! I tested it out and they were exploding when spawning in. I am not sure why that’s the case since the mod simply spawns the helicopters. A temporary compromise is to disable the CHD part and enable just Always Landz

If secure area is longer than the stuck timer, the pilot will bail while landed.

i used the huey mode and it kicks me out the moment i spawn in and sends the chopper flying it explodes and kills everyone i have the gore mod so its kind of funny but game breaking bro need some help

@lanzerik9 What's the transport helicopter you are using? It is a known issue for some helicopters with modified script.

Does still work with EA29? because when I'm playing at Raven Don't Surf map they keep dropping off the troops mid air, I'm not sure if that's what's causing it and I just want this to be fixed. I can provide a more in depth detail in discord.

Update to always land module. It now supports secure area behavior for helicopter before taking off. This is good for suppressive fire or things like hotdropping.

Oh yep. kkbetournay is right. That option is enabled by default because people don't like too many transport helicopters in the sky, haha.

@alwaysgood, make sure "leave battlefield after spawning" is not checked. That is what fixed it for me.

Major Update: Always Land module has added procedurally-generated helicopter landing zone. This will eliminate almost all zombie helicopters that just float around and do nothing, except in certain situations where helicopters receive a "Defense" order (which is very rare)

Hotfix 4/18 2025: Fixed destroyed helicopters not being destroyed, resulting in performance hogging. It is advised to update your mod to the latest version to increase game performance.

Hey, i have a problem that the Heli is always landing on it spawn point and not flying towards neutral or enemy spawnpoints. I also dont have the Condigurators in the Menu to change it.
