@λ Raven λ omg yeah that would be SICK!!! i also sometimes imagine zombies (mainly headcrab zombies) who, depending on who they were before (either police, military, criminals, or maybe even civilian hunters) can just straight up use GUNS (albeit rather ineffectively due to their GREATLY hindered motor skills). it could make getting SHOT something you gotta worry about in SP

I will, Gimp is back up and running. My next re-texture is a new original plague that's been in the works for awhile. After that I plan to begin working on a Dying Light re-texture.

I just want to get this original plague done before the motivation to do it runs out.

I can imagine, later down the line somebody had made a mod that makes the zeds able to pick up weapons and use them against you, pair it up with a sound replacement of psychotic laughter and this texture mod and it'd feel like a completely different type of scenario.

this is... oddly something i've been thinking about...
not about the infected from strangerville, i didn't even know about that until just now, but the idea of zombies that have wide, manic smiles and the idea of zombification being linked to sanity rather than a virus...

i think what would make it be exactly like my vision would be if someone also made a mod that made zombification caused by low happiness/sanity, and maybe some kinda sequence where once your character starts turning into a zombie, you get a brief moment where all your unhappiness goes away; then your character starts getting "happier", with a wide, manic smile growing across their face while you slowly start losing more and more control of them. maybe some screen effects, audio, and a moodle to accompany it, and then... well... it's too late... once it starts, it's too late... (kinda like rabies actually)
