@FenFenScreeScree There are standalone Asari shipsets with NSC support on the workshop. hope it helps
CaptainX3  [author] Jul 3 @ 6:07pm
FenFenScreeScree - No, I do not have models for the Asari.
FenFenScreeScree Jul 3 @ 6:04pm
No Asari ships??
Bunny Shake Jun 7 @ 10:35am
@CaptainX3: Yes, in the asset files there are position fields with x y z coordinates, but changing them had no visual effect in-game for me. I don't think they override what's hardcoded in the mesh.

Since I last posted I learned to open mesh files in Blender and adjusted weapon origin points. In the Vorlon shipset, the large guns on the Dreadnought were firing from far behind the ship (I had changed the Dreadnought to look like the Juggernaught model, just personal taste, but it introduced a turret location problem). In Blender I found 2 turret locators (represented by orange dots) far behind the ship and moved them to match the ones at the front. After reloading the game, the weapons fired correctly from the front.

This used pre-existing locators. The step-up from this is to add new turret locators from scratch, and they need to match the names of the entries in the asset files (large_gun_01, etc). I suspect missing locators cause weapons to fire from the system center.

hum hi i am using this mod on its own and my construction and science ships are just boxes so is that because it needs NSC3 or not??
CaptainX3  [author] Jun 5 @ 11:23am
Bunny Shake - If you are absolutely sure that this is the cause, there is a possible code fix, I believe I can define locators in the asset files using coordinates, so I might try that when I have time.
Bunny Shake Jun 5 @ 9:50am
@Cruel Humor and others: Since I've ran into that issue with plenty of shipsets, the problem seems to happen when the ship model (.mesh file) has no turret locators (or not enough) defined for that weapon size/type, or the section doesn't match its locators correctly (asking for 2 XL slots, but the mesh has 1 XL locator). The game doesn't know where to fire the weapon from so it defaults to shooting from the center of the system. The weapon still works, just the visuals are bugged.
I know this is fixable but it requires using Blender to work on the mesh files.
CaptainX3  [author] May 27 @ 11:37am
Unfortunately, I was told that this particular bug is caused by some issue with the ship models themselves. I didn’t create the models nor do I know how to edit them, so I’m afraid my only options are to ignore the bug, or take the mod down permanently. I will not be able to fix it, sorry guys.
CrusaderKing23 May 27 @ 11:13am
Same here hope it gets fixed soon.
SecretDragonSludge (Drugs) May 24 @ 1:25pm
I also have the same bug as cruel humor, I'm not using amazing space battles
Inerael May 15 @ 6:40am
@Cruel Humor do you still have this bug ? i'm making a collection for me and my friend and i'm looking for broken mod so was wondering is ME ship was still working ? .
Cruel Humor May 14 @ 11:17am
I might be late to this but i haven't seen anyone else bring it up. I'm having a weird thing happen that when any mass effect ships I've seen used that are in engaged in battle, some ordinance and weapon effects start to shoot not out of the ships but from the sun or center of the system towards enemy ships. I'm using amazing space battles so i don't know if that's whats conflicting or not.
CaptainX3  [author] May 7 @ 5:17pm
Yes
AzoorFox May 7 @ 4:31pm
Does it works without NSC3?
DuckofDestiny May 6 @ 7:03pm
@RedRapture having the same issue, how did you fix it?
RedRapture May 6 @ 11:28am
@CaptainX3 So, deleted the old message. I have fixed the issue of the shipsets being registered as biological. I will send you a message on Discord to send the file in question to you.
CaptainX3  [author] May 6 @ 11:02am
Red rapture - I have not updated this mod for 4.0, I am still working on fixing NSC.
RedRapture May 6 @ 10:51am
Hey, so, you do realize that all of these shipsets are registered as biological ships, right? Not mechanical?
CaptainX3  [author] May 5 @ 1:31pm
AceOrc420 - I don't have any at the moment, I'd have to set up a game to get some. I'll try when I have time, right now I am focused on getting NSC bug free for 4.0.
AceOrc420 May 5 @ 10:51am
could you add some like pictures
CaptainX3  [author] Feb 1 @ 2:46am
Grimjaw - You can use this without NSC, it's been verified that it works fine without it.
Grimjaw Feb 1 @ 2:37am
Any chance of a non SC3 version?
Toaster on leg Jan 22 @ 7:11am
I'm sad that the heavy frigate model used for one of the battlecruisers was cut. ah well, it's still a nice mod though
Drezhnor Dec 29, 2024 @ 2:10pm
it doesn't work for me ... installed it and ... nothing
hyperion9710 Dec 27, 2024 @ 2:26pm
Thank you, now I can focus on real life. Glad you uploaded this again.
Commander Ashfield Dec 20, 2024 @ 10:01am
@ph34rthe1337
It works without, I don't have NSC3 and it works fine for me.
ph34rthe1337 Dec 20, 2024 @ 9:00am
would this work without nsc? or is there a non-nsc version?
Akastos Dec 18, 2024 @ 8:10am
Hi, I have NSC3 installed, but destroyers for Cerberus (haven't tried Alliance yet) always show up either as only the glow from the thruster or as a tiny model of a Normandy-type ship, about a third the size of a corvette or smaller (seemingly random which of the two). Is there some way to resolve this? Would be grateful for any help because I really like the mod. Thanks! :)
Thavis Dec 7, 2024 @ 12:31pm
I know it was made for NSC, so I just want to let anyone using this mod without NSC that if you're using the cerberus ( and probably the system alliance aswell ) shipset, if you're using the picket ship section for destroyer, you wont have any model. The gunship section will show the normandy and the artillery section the normal destroyer model, but the picket ship section doesnt have any model. Other than that, the mod work perfectly fine without NSC.

As I said, I just wanted to warn people using the mod without NSC - like me - about that :D
Thavis Dec 7, 2024 @ 5:21am
Oh yeah it was this mod. Glad to know they will update it :D
CaptainX3  [author] Dec 6, 2024 @ 4:47pm
JSHALO2025 - I don’t even own Sins 2, and have no idea how modding for it works. These ships came from a Sins 1 mod, surely someone will do it for Sins 2 as well, but that isn’t me LOL
JSHALO2025 Dec 6, 2024 @ 2:40pm
CaptainX3 any chance you can bring these ships to Sins of a solar Empire 2 as well?
CaptainX3  [author] Dec 6, 2024 @ 1:12pm
Thavis - It might be the same mod you saw - Beyond The Relays. The dev team took a break but is now working on it again to get it updated: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2911033004
Thavis Dec 6, 2024 @ 1:04pm
Yes, I saw the previous comment talking about that. I know a year ago ( or maybe 2 ) a total conversion mod already existed but from what I saw it wasnt updated for a long time. Idk if it's dead or no, but I hope that we will get one that will last. Is there any places where we could get information on the mod ? Like where are they in the dev/when can we expect it to be released and all ?
CaptainX3  [author] Dec 6, 2024 @ 12:54pm
Thavis - No worries. It might interest you to know that a Mass Effect total conversion mod is in the works, and these sets will be included in that mod and greatly expanded and improved.
Thavis Dec 6, 2024 @ 12:52pm
Oh yeah, my bad I didnt say that as a bug report or anything else. What I wanted to say is that since I'm not playing with NSC, the fact that those models are inverted is the only thing that "annoy" me in a personnal way. It wasnt supposed to be a complaint or anything like that. My bad for the misunderstanding
CaptainX3  [author] Dec 4, 2024 @ 12:26pm
Thavis - I addressed the SR2 issue in the first paragraph under Important Notes above :-)
Thavis Dec 4, 2024 @ 3:13am
Great mod, I used it since many years in vanilla, but when I saw the page of the older version was deleted, I thought I couldnt use them anymore haha. Glad it was only a reupload for a new NSC version.

Only thing that I have to say, is that it always felt weird to me that you decided to put the SR2 ( and Cerberus variant ) for the destroyer instead of corvette. Idk, I've always find that the corvette and destroyer design for the System Alliance and Cerberus shipset would be better the other way around - ( So the corvette design as destroyer, and the destroyer design as a corvette ) -
Inerael Dec 3, 2024 @ 5:36am
hey, np i saw this bug too on the reaper shipset mod continued. For the cerberus frigate maybe its just my bad, but when i was in the shipset selection, i push the button to see the "frigate" and it was just a light (like no model) maybe its just a bug and in game everything fine ? :)
CaptainX3  [author] Dec 3, 2024 @ 5:14am
Oliford (no way in hell am I retyping that whole Steam name LOL) - Thank you for the support. I actually don’t know of a mod like you speak of, although I have been invited to participate in moving these ships to a Mass Effect total conversion mod as well!

Inerael - Thank you! I am aware of the weird rainbow effect on the Harbinger flagship, unfortunately I have no idea how to fix it, however I am now working with a team that is working on a Mass Effect total conversion mod, so hopefully their texture guys can figure out what is happening there and help me fix it.

I’m not sure what you mean by the Cerberus frigate being “light”, can you be more specific?
Inerael Dec 2, 2024 @ 7:08am
Amazing mod thanks you so much for putting this mod !! Peoples like you makes my day ! <3

(not big issue, maybe its my bad but i found some little issue like cerberus frigat is just a little light; the harbinger model for flagship texture is a little bit strange like a rainbow)
(i tried with a load order Ui overhaul, NSC3, and then your mod)

Anyway, thanks you verry much ! :)
Cpt.Esq.Sr.Col.Oliford Nov 30, 2024 @ 8:35am
your mods are awesome, don't pay any mind to the haters, do you know of a mass effect faction and technology mod that adds it in but isn't a full conversion so I can do a multiverse playthrough?
Polka Nov 30, 2024 @ 8:19am
Thank you! Must have mod for me! :)
CaptainX3  [author] Nov 30, 2024 @ 7:22am
Tinquen - That was a typo, just fixed it, thanks.

Lycius - Thanks, when I get time I’ll update the mod so the stations and fortresses will use the same models as the platforms.
Lycius Nov 30, 2024 @ 5:54am
Missing NSC models for defense stations, defense fortress
Tinquen Nov 30, 2024 @ 3:18am
Hey, nice mod. Thank you !
Just a little nitpick though : Are you sure the latest mod update was in 2023 ?
CaptainX3  [author] Nov 29, 2024 @ 9:08pm
ao694013 - Thanks for the comment, but I just deleted his comments and blocked him, and will delete any further comments he makes. That’s the only way to deal with a child throwing a temper tantrum.

I didn’t bother taking screenshots because I don’t feel like editing them and uploading them, especially since the Steam workshop bugs out on images. The ones I uploaded for NSC took several hours because every time I’d upload them and try to save them, they’d disappear.

This mod is here to fulfill requests for an updated version for those on the NSC Discord server who asked for it, nothing more. If other people wish to use it, feel free, but it is what it is - take it or leave it.
ao694013 Nov 29, 2024 @ 8:51pm
Erusaert- Yeah, your first statement definitely came off as, if not hostile, definitely entitled as hell. I had a homeless guy years ago give me a sob story about how he hadn't eaten for days, blah blah blah and he wanted me to give him money. Instead of giving him cash, I went into a sandwich shop nearby and got him a standard club sandwich. Anyone who hadn't eaten in days would scarf it down. I gave it to him and he took a bite. He spit out the bite and threw the remaining sandwich on the floor because, according to him, he doesn't like turkey. You're the homeless guy here with your first comment to CaptainX3.

Look, your complaint has some validity, but your delivery came off whiny and entitled as hell.
CaptainX3  [author] Nov 29, 2024 @ 8:49pm
Commander Ashfield - Thanks for letting me know, I’ll update the description when I have a chance (I’m on my phone at the moment and editing pages on Steam on a phone is a real pain.)
Commander Ashfield Nov 29, 2024 @ 1:28pm
@CaptainX3
Just tested all your ship models without NSC3 and there are no problems.
