I have ideas for the mod, but want to wait for 1.6 before working on them some more! this includes a separate puppeteer adjacent psycast tree, though I want to update my other mods first before I do work on this mod.

I noticed that these staffs will spawn with any spacer faction, is there a way to make it just for the empire

Update:

- Removed staffs being craft-able, They are only meant to be obtainable via Exotic Traders. Staff of Lionel is meant to be craft-able but that will be added in a future update.

@Myf thanks for the fix, had a surprise raid where they all seemed to be able to laser through my pops like they were cardboard, I am now quite hyped to find one because boy was that a surprise XD.

Update:

- Removed Weapon Tag allowing each staff to have a chance to show up on Mechanoids as their primary weapon.
- Orientation of all Staffs have been changed to fit better and look more like staffs.

Awesome. In my case it wasn't a huge raid, so all I lost was lung on one colonist and one of my scythers lost its legs.

I can confirm, had a mechanoid raid. Lancers were equipped with Guardian staves instead of their usual weapons. I'll make a Lancer myself and report if it spawns with it too.

cool. are you going to add gear that default gives more puppet slots? Starting with 1 makes gameplay sense but it's such a slog to unlock more slots that by the time you get the 3rd one you say screw it good enough they don't need to be out for another week for 2 more.
