Hmm, dont think I ever heard of anyone having this issue, try quicksaving and reloading save, and if that doesnt work I guess just restart and try again.

Short but beautiful and dynamic map. It was fun!

decent map, the ai has a hard time on the cliff faces running by gordon and alyx to seek cover on the top. and the heli is more tanky than any gunship.

Yeah Ive been a bit wrong in my last comment. Let me explain myself. I totaly forget this map was created for a contest so there are some negative and positive sides. Positive: the map actually looks beautiful. Alyx have some replics. Combine soldiers have their new winter skin. Negative: the combine fields (specifically one in a cave) is a solid object even for a bullets, so you cant shoot them and they make some interesting interaction with Alyx. The meshes of the sidewalk is... well... Half-Life 1 level of detail. The choper sequence is bad and good at the same time. I didnt liked the idea of shooting the copter with rpg so it drops bombs. While it drops bomb after the impact the heli just go south in all the ways possible so you cant reach it with the bomb. The sequence of it doing bayblade is funny tho, I liked it. And the last thing I really dissatisfied is the Borealis which apears as "func_tracktrain" with not so many paths just looks really funky.

This is the worst ep3 map Ive seen yet ngl

yea most people forget that detail, and the chopper was too far and over a canyon to grab the bombs

I guess no one here has ever played Half-Life 2 EP2... No one ever uses the mines it drops to kill it, which only takes like 3-4 hits, the rpg only makes it drop the mines, but barely does any damage

I didnt have any time left when making the map to change it but if I ever go back to update this map I will probably change it to be a gunship

Adorable little trek with a very beefy, or cheesy, chopper fight depending on how you decide to time your rocket volleys and where you fight.

If you only use the RPG to kill it then yeah, you need to use the mines it drops after you damage it with RPG, but I guess it its not very well telegraphed as most just try to use RPG only

The chopper has an INSANE amount of health.

It's alright! I did read about the competition, that's why I thought it was impressive, besides, the map was fun to play!

But maybe I will return and make an extended version some day when I have more time, thanks for playing either way!

Я бы добавил немного больше стычек с комбайнами , добавил ещё пару реплик Аликс, сделал меньше хп у вертушки но добавил бы десант, который высаживался бы когда у вертолета остаётся 50% хп

Вообще эта карта как и карта смог сити требуют допилв конечно, если их улучшить ещё немного мне кажется они будут намного лучше и завершеннее. Потенциал очень хороший. Атмосфера этих двух карт очень зашла

Is there any way to optimize the snow? When there is a snowstorm, fps drops to 80-90, and without it 250-300

You need to use the mines it drops to kill it, which only takes like 4-5

The rockets are used only to make it shoot out mines if its hit, using only rocket launcher to kill it will take AGES.
