As for Canada, unfortunately this would be a monumental change, likely taking me 4-6 months to research and update the map to fit the current projection with 500+ new provinces. I would love to add in Canada someday but I cannot make any promises! Puerto Rico by comparison is definitely doable and I will strongly consider adding them after I have fleshed out the mission trees for the 50 states.
I've tweaked the AI in the latest patch to entice them to take exploration, meaning the colonialism issues should be fixed :)
otherwise great job your awesome.
One bug I did notice: In Boston's mission tree, their mission to take over the Boston suburbs accidentally requires them to own a province in Northeastern PA.
Not using any other mods and the regions were "correct" last time I opened the game.
(Tag exclusive bonuses like the Ottomans' artillery buffs can't be chosen by anyone right now. Perhaps these could be edited to either be selectable by anyone, or just tags in a certain region?)
>tone down California's starting dev just a tad
(The main annoying thing about playing in California right now is that every province has >20 dev, meaning it costs 200+ admin to core provinces and taking just a bit of land causes a coalition. I get that California's super populated, but a slight dev nerf would be very much welcome)
(2/2)
>Atheism mechanics
(Maybe let atheists accept one syncretic faith like Tengri can in the base game for small buffs, or remain "pure" atheist for very strong bonuses at the cost of destroying relations with all non-Atheist states?)
>Decision to choose government type at game start
(Everyone defaulting to feudal monarchy make sense for the start of the game, but a player only decision that lets you swap over to republic or theocracy for free seems like a fun idea)

As far as incompatibility, this is mostly because of the sheer number of files this mod changes (over 6000). A mod usually becomes incompatible if we both modify the same vanilla file, or if one of our mods instructs the engine to override an entire folder. As an overhaul mod this one does both of those a lot!
@Xx_FlashBlaster_xX thank you! New England area's polish is coming next, with the Atlantic South likely after that.
I will of course credit your mod
Fucking Love playing as Russian Nations in base EU4
would love to see mission trees, great projects, etc
As for a suggestion It'd be cool if there were a couple great projects scattered around
