@Кангерму The plan is for someday having a mission tree for all 50 states, and smaller mission trees for all nations up to the point of forming their respective state. Colorado will be there one day!

As for Canada, unfortunately this would be a monumental change, likely taking me 4-6 months to research and update the map to fit the current projection with 500+ new provinces. I would love to add in Canada someday but I cannot make any promises! Puerto Rico by comparison is definitely doable and I will strongly consider adding them after I have fleshed out the mission trees for the 50 states.

I've tweaked the AI in the latest patch to entice them to take exploration, meaning the colonialism issues should be fixed :)

Great mod! If i may suggest, as a die hard coloradan i'd love for there to be more colorado missions C:

played 2 campaigns to the 1800's this mod is really really good. Would love to see you keep flushing out details like a few mission trees would be nice and really putting voice in for adding Canada, or at least some regions of southern Canada. would recommend adding only 1867 boarders of Canada,
FragmentEx Mar 8 @ 1:05pm
This has quickly become one of my favorite mods. To add my voice to others, I would really like Canada to be accessible and have some nations in the game, and it would be perfect. I like playing the Great Lakes region and an empty Ontario is rather strange.

Colonialism doesn't spawn
we need CANADA! HAWAIII, PUERTO RICCCO~ and maybe mexico.

otherwise great job your awesome.
RadicalJTK Feb 26 @ 7:35pm
Great mod but please fix Colonization institution spawn!!!
Koяnelius Feb 24 @ 8:36am
If Canada was accessible, this mod would be perfect.
Wololo Feb 19 @ 1:14pm
This is cool but the overall amount of dev need to be reduced for this to be playable into the lategame
BerserkReference Feb 18 @ 12:06pm
Wow, this mod is incredible. I can't wait to see it more fleshed out with content. I'm playing as New York City right now and having so much fun!

One bug I did notice: In Boston's mission tree, their mission to take over the Boston suburbs accidentally requires them to own a province in Northeastern PA.
caflynn0801 Feb 17 @ 1:37pm
Fantastic Mod!
Marfin_ Feb 17 @ 8:53am
Hey, I've encountered a bug. I'm trying to form Missouri and one of the requirements is, "no culture must be accepted culture within Joplin"
Loxie Feb 15 @ 12:20pm
Can you remove DLC only content for missions? It's really annoying.
999_derp Feb 13 @ 5:28am
yo ive been dying for a map like this since i first started playing eu4
funnyorbanthatsfunny Feb 3 @ 1:53pm
Huge potential hope we get some proper New England content soon, if not i'll learn the game and mod it in myself

If anyone wants additional mods to work open the mod folder from the launcher. Open descriptor with notepad or your app of choice. delete all the lines forcing replacement. Some small weird things will happen because of this but from the little I have tested nothing that will disrupt game play.
Bophades Jan 25 @ 8:11am
This is probably one of the most fun mods I've played in the 10+ years of EU4s existence. For one, I appreciate the sheer attention to detail in the map. Any comment for improvement has probably already been mentioned, so I pretty much have nothing to say. It's incredible
Coldtimes Jan 22 @ 11:16pm
Was working on doing a submod for some areas of your mod, not sure how far I’d go with it as to not mess with your ideas. Yet if you’d like to talk I might be able to help you out and alleviate some work from you. If not, I’ve still enjoyed the mod I love what you did.
Tom ♛ Jan 19 @ 4:06pm
No worries then, will just have to start a new game. Thanks for the response
Jacoba777  [author] Jan 19 @ 7:08am
@Tom @CornHuskerKenny this is related to a recent update to the mod. Unfortunately, by fixing another HRE bug, it appears it has broken the HRE on existing save games -- new games should work as intended hopefully.
CornHuskerKenny Jan 18 @ 8:35am
Same issue as Tom, HRE mechanic is broken atm, no other mods and it worked last time I tried
Tom ♛ Jan 17 @ 11:35am
Not sure if there was an update to the mod or any base game update, but every province (spanning from the Virginias to Maine) is no longer considered as part of "Europe", which means that the countries that hold land here are no longer considered "European", which breaks the HRE voting eligibility. In my current game the current candidate for HRE control is Maui, and potentially other Hawaiian countries but I am not certain.

Not using any other mods and the regions were "correct" last time I opened the game.

>Change the now useless exclusive rewards for Ages
(Tag exclusive bonuses like the Ottomans' artillery buffs can't be chosen by anyone right now. Perhaps these could be edited to either be selectable by anyone, or just tags in a certain region?)

>tone down California's starting dev just a tad
(The main annoying thing about playing in California right now is that every province has >20 dev, meaning it costs 200+ admin to core provinces and taking just a bit of land causes a coalition. I get that California's super populated, but a slight dev nerf would be very much welcome)

herpaderp Jan 17 @ 10:16am
Playing a game in California right now, and the mod seems quite fun so far! Just a few requests to make (besides getting rid of the generic ideas and missions, but I understand that both of those are more long term goals)

>Atheism mechanics
(Maybe let atheists accept one syncretic faith like Tengri can in the base game for small buffs, or remain "pure" atheist for very strong bonuses at the cost of destroying relations with all non-Atheist states?)

>Decision to choose government type at game start
(Everyone defaulting to feudal monarchy make sense for the start of the game, but a player only decision that lets you swap over to republic or theocracy for free seems like a fun idea)

Lil_Yeeto Jan 17 @ 2:41am
It'd be cool if the "Hoist the Black Flag" decision was available for Marthas Vineyard and Nantucket. Also, you might want to move the Virginian princes into the Mid-Atlantic tech group, since they currently don't start with vision on much of the Empire.
Jacoba777  [author] Jan 14 @ 5:13pm
@Feraa, sorry to hear that! Unfortunately with over 3000 counties if each were their own nation, the game would be unplayable on most machines due to EU4's engine limitations. Although, if people would like another scenario with all vassals freed, that is trivially easy for me to whip up in the next release!

As far as incompatibility, this is mostly because of the sheer number of files this mod changes (over 6000). A mod usually becomes incompatible if we both modify the same vanilla file, or if one of our mods instructs the engine to override an entire folder. As an overhaul mod this one does both of those a lot!

@Xx_FlashBlaster_xX thank you! New England area's polish is coming next, with the Atlantic South likely after that.
Xx_FlashBlaster_xX Jan 14 @ 4:00pm
Good update for the Northeast. Playing as New York City and it's a blast so far! Can't wait for the countries down in D.C to be more polished.
Feraa Jan 14 @ 3:56pm
The mod is incompatible with soooo many other mods lmao Why is that, outta curiosity?
Feraa Jan 14 @ 2:24pm
I was kinda disappointed. I was hoping to be able to play as my home county and conquer the whole map, only to find out the divided states start has a bunch of cities owning all the land around, with many having further vassal states. I was hoping it would be like a true shattered world game, but alas...
Jacoba777  [author] Jan 14 @ 1:31pm
@EatenPancreas go right ahead!
EatenPancreas Jan 14 @ 8:02am
Can i use this mod as a starting point for working on my own usa mod? I'd like to enlarge the 48 states, removing most of the empty ocean and wastelands. Maybe do something different with a story and mountain wastelands down the road.

I will of course credit your mod
Demoman Jan 12 @ 3:00pm
Is there any nation that Uses the Russian Principality government or equivalent thereof?

Fucking Love playing as Russian Nations in base EU4
Jacoba777  [author] Jan 9 @ 5:45pm
Canada is a lofty goal of mine to add, but there are no immediate plans for now. Right now, I am working through missions trees for every country, starting with the northeast. After that, I hope to work on great projects!
paralyzedpig Jan 8 @ 8:03pm
shoud add canada for how much space it takes up
would kill for some lore
porco rosso Jan 7 @ 3:30am
love this, hopefully you don't abandon this idea and develop it further

would love to see mission trees, great projects, etc
Taco Jan 3 @ 7:44am
Absolutely wonderful mod! I had a lot of fun playing it!

As for a suggestion It'd be cool if there were a couple great projects scattered around
Wolfman217 Jan 2 @ 3:53am
Planning on adding Canada at least? Also it would be great if there was a meme event/decision that added in a British conquest - like say new england area nations could have a decision/event that turns them British/English culture and changes the nation to like "British North America" or "Britannian Empire" (for the code geas reference).
Shadow Dragon Jan 1 @ 4:30pm
Oh that reminds me of a similar mod which was abandoned a long time ago! Thanks for creating something similar but with even more province detail!!
MF DOOM's Villainous MacnCheeze Dec 31, 2024 @ 11:08am
finally, after the end in EU4
Xane Dec 30, 2024 @ 11:59am
biggest criticism is making Missouri that Baptist. Should be more Catholic counties along the Missouri River
Jayxd Dec 27, 2024 @ 5:34pm
This is actually great
Dark Lord Dec 26, 2024 @ 7:10pm
Hey man, I played the mod a bit, and it was great! However, I noticed that provinces within a state don't all share the same trade zone, which is different from vanilla, where they do. Just wanted to give you a heads-up about it.
Yamakoki Dec 17, 2024 @ 3:38pm
oh but i do have 1 gripe with the cultures map considering theres no natives in Oklahoma considering theres quite a few reservations in the state Cherokee being the biggest of the ones i know of
Yamakoki Dec 17, 2024 @ 3:23pm
hands down one of the greatest ideas ive seen for a mod in time this could become a mod that surpasses other major mods in my opinion
