Hey love the mod so far is there any chance you will be making an Abrams x variant that just has the 50 cal commander turret rather than the 30mm cannon it is currently using ?

I've been experiencing problems where the AI refuses to use the main gun and exclusively uses the 30mm against even heavy armored targets. Also whenever I'm shot, it seems to destroy the engine, even if I'm in defilade and front-on to the thing shooting me

The driver view using the drone HUD is a little odd, especially that it adds chromatic aberration to the view which is not pleasant for any long term driving.

the colours on the three colour woodland variant seem to be very washed out and light. they don't match with other vehicles of similar colour from other projects. the Mack APC from expeditionary force could be a useful reference. also for my own projects i use HTML 505543 (Federal Green) 5c4d44 (Federal brown) and 383838 (Federal Black) for 3 colour woodland. they may be more accurate to the real deal and may help the AbramsX look even cooler.

I was delighted with the mod for the futuristic project, ABX. I tested it, and the only visible flaw is the textures and model when damaged and completely destroyed.
The mod will serve as reference content in future companies.

Hey Quiggs! I'm looking to update the Vanilla Leo 2A4 to the Leo 2 A-RC 3.0, and was wondering if you might be willing to provide any sort of help or tips with this, as your mod gave me the idea to implement something similar in my own faction mod.

I would love to make an interior for this, but with many projects its not feasible, however once A3 data packs become available, this will probably get a modified version of the Angaras interior!

There is no longer a damage model, config has been changed to accommodate damage textures

Will there be a wreck model? I've tested destroying the tank in the editor and it keeps the intact model when destroyed.

Could you maybe make it so the ATGMs can lock onto lasers behind obstacles and terrain via data link like the Rhino's ? Unless I'm missing something it seems like it's not possible atm

I'm somewhat surprised the railgun variant is as sci-fi as it is, would have thought a barrel similar to the US Navy's railgun prototype would fit well enough.

Would you consider adding AI-assisted features for it? As we all know, the AbramsX is equipped with AI-assisted capabilities. However, I’m not sure if such complex functionalities can be implemented in Arma 3. For example, one of its features involves the onboard AI identifying the exact position of an enemy. All you need to do is aim the cannon at the marked location and press the fire button.

Main gun shoots just fine with AI, Arma 3 in general can be finicky when it comes to commanding a tank with an AI crew. Often times they may not have a clear shot, or you don't have the appropriate weapon selected, or you may have to go to the gunner seat and cycle ammo manually and then hop back to commander position. But for those wondering, running commander position does work.
