there has to be an end point.
Also technically forward speed exists so windspeeds max at 500 mph, and that's not including subvorts, so I think the max windspeed is around 600-700~ mph.
This is probably the coolest mod i've ever seen like wow, mate...its incredible.
Probably the most realistic tornado and damage ive seen lol
also no there is nothing that kills the player yet, I was actually considering making a compat fall damage mod that does kill you. I could probably do that soon.
I downloaded a tornado alley map specifically optimized for this mod, and now my fps are above 60.
Well, now i have to find similair maps :D
Btw, is there no button that the tornado can kill me like in the last mod?
Again, when i spawn the tornado it instantly drops to 10 fps, with the other mod it stays at above 60 fps.
I disabled a bunch of stuff and put down simulation quality to the lowest but i still never exeed 20 fps lol
iirc
Technically the mod has a higher entry barrier because of the effects themselves, if you computer just can't handle the particles then that's nothing I can fix, the tornado system itself is significantly more optimized overall.
I just opted in for actually having a good looking tornado as apposed to the absolute dogshit that was vortexes and tornadoes
I still have over 60 fps with that mod.
With this mod here my fps drop down to 10 as soon as i spawn the tornado.
No destruction, just spawning. Down to 10 fps.
Yes, i've read your description and it didn't change anything sadly.
That's what I'm doing, I'm setting down the tornado with a raycast but I'm using the teardown API to make sure if the floor it wants to go down to is the ground and not something like a tree or loose debris so the tornado doesn't just teleport up and down rapidly.
It would still float on-top of buildings but at least it'd snap back to the ground when its off it
Also forgot to say like,, I don't think I can do anything about that since I'm 99% sure I'm doing the best I can? I think the floating thing is because the teardown API defines the building as the ground but then when you move it off the building it doesn't consider the ground the ground but the building is considered the ground??? it doesn't really really make sense to me and I'm not able to fix it unfortunately, it's a limitation on me.
Otherwise its a phenomenal mod! Probably my most favourite in the game
as stormyburger storm burger said i don't wanna have hopes on something that wouldnt happen.take care and have nice day man.
