@marshmallow justice yeah, main intention of this mod is to prevent the urge to exploit imperfections in game mechanics
marshmallow justice Mar 13 @ 4:29pm
OHHHH OKK I had a serious misunderstanding then. I thought the zombies were flagged to be allowed to attack the fences if a certain amount were being kept there for too long. I didn't realize it was just deleting the fence outright in X situation. Awesome!
somewhatfrog  [author] Mar 13 @ 4:23pm
@marshmallow justice there is nothing to bug out on the side of this mod, technically zombies don't do anything, the tiles in front of the zombies are just removed and sfx is played when conditions are met, which creates the effect of zombies breaking it
marshmallow justice Mar 13 @ 4:17pm
great thank you ^^ so even if it would bug out WH, it would only bug out when said conditions were met as worst case scenario. Great enough for me, time to play again!
somewhatfrog  [author] Mar 13 @ 4:08pm
@marshmallow justice this mod doesn't affect zombie behavior unless you hit them in certain conditions.
marshmallow justice Mar 13 @ 1:55pm
okay i'll try add it back again, thank you

i had a normal existing world that i had that then added wandering zombies to, and the difference was staggering, so good.
then raised the tick rate by a little bit since the mod recommends it to avoid server bandwidth problem(?), didn't notice much of a difference.
then added this mod, and notice zombies were being really stupid and not behaving in swarms like they used to. removed this mod & lowered the tick rate back to default levels and now they are. So I will put this mod back & see if it was the tick rate that makes such an enormous difference despite only small adjustment.

@marshmallow justice should work without any issues, it is player who triggers the fence destruction
marshmallow justice Mar 13 @ 12:09pm
does this work with wandering zombies?? in wandering zombies mod it says that it has glitchy behaviour with a similar mod, Destroyable World Fences, where unless 'custom thumping behaviour' was disabled it would not work properly. i dont see that or a similar option on this mod. so im wondering if that is fixed or considered? thank you
somewhatfrog  [author] Dec 23, 2024 @ 11:57pm
@Skb77 thanks! It was announced that B42 will have this by default, if by the time the MP stable is out they still don't have it, then I will update it
Skb77 Dec 23, 2024 @ 11:24am
Excellent mod, do you plan to update it?
somewhatfrog  [author] Oct 17, 2024 @ 12:13am
@Greasy Hobo Man you have to meet multiple conditions before it triggers: there should be enough of zombies, a zombie being hit must be in a state which relates to being "stuck", and you need to hit such zombies enough times within certain timeframe after the first zombie in such state was hit. Without multihit enabled it is pretty hard to trigger by a character with lvl 1 spear for instance or a character using a revolver. It is meant to counter greedy mass slaughter of zombies

Mod isn't seeming to work. Have everything turned on in my modded server too both the workshop id and mod id. Also everything is set to true
somewhatfrog  [author] Oct 16, 2024 @ 11:59am
@DaChosen0ne this mod doesn't change zombie behavior towards objects/tiles, in vanilla game if object/tile is built/moved by player it is set to "thumpable" which means zombies will target it and attack. Building Menu mod provides a sandbox option to make player built structures not "thumpable"
DaChosen0ne Oct 15, 2024 @ 4:17pm
just to clarify, this mod will make it so zeds wont attack fences/walls, even if they are player made, unless they have large numbers of dead heads?
jimmy hoglet the world Sep 27, 2024 @ 1:11pm
i see! thank you for the reply
somewhatfrog  [author] Sep 27, 2024 @ 6:34am
@nigel welcome!

@jimmy hoglet the world it should work as long as those tiles are vanilla, for any non-vanilla tiles you will have to expand the tile list yourself
jimmy hoglet the world Sep 27, 2024 @ 3:14am
hey so quick question, this is amazing but for single player gaming im wondering how itll work with mods or settings that make player structures indestructible? basically i hate how zombies magnetise to fences instead what you have here where they need continuous aggro as well as numbers
nigel Sep 25, 2024 @ 5:46pm
This is so freaking epic, thanks admin

@alfie kek

@Clam Slamwich mayhaps

@~KawaiiOverload~ i believe in you :cherrypie:

@✪ Tax thanks, even though it is a far cry from what is coming. Yes this is possible, but would be a performance hog, which I'd like to avoid
FarbE ~ Sep 23, 2024 @ 5:08pm
Indie stone - 0 modders 1000+ Great mod btw.
✪ Tax Sep 23, 2024 @ 12:48pm
Really cool mod, kind of a preparation for what is coming in build 42's zombie-breakable fences
Is it possible to make the zeds have an attacking animation against the fences, like they already have against windows and doors?
~KawaiiOverload~ Sep 22, 2024 @ 11:09pm
i reallt want to use this, but i dont brave enough (skill issue lol)
Snuppy Sep 21, 2024 @ 11:28pm
B42 mods before B42 even comes out lmao
verymulch Sep 21, 2024 @ 6:02pm
"killbox" isn't a word i thought I'd read in the PZ workshop...
Clam Slamwich Sep 21, 2024 @ 4:05pm
Is that a rare Pepe?
alfie Sep 21, 2024 @ 11:22am
oh my god its over now
iHype | Apple User Sep 21, 2024 @ 4:26am
we got breaking fances in build 41 before build 42
LambVORTEX Sep 21, 2024 @ 3:40am
FOOKEN HELL.

Love when modders turn B41 into a frankenstein with B42 features! Really, I do.
Diamond L2560 Sep 21, 2024 @ 2:38am
build 42 before build 42 is crazy
SharleBu Sep 20, 2024 @ 3:16pm
Amazing, I was hopping for something like this <3

Looks awesome. Definently giving this one a go.
somewhatfrog  [author] Sep 20, 2024 @ 1:44am
@sampson_h2008 you can poke through fences yes, but you better stop as soon as your character expresses a concern about the fence's strength or you hear the sound like something starts to break

@Mesrszmit technically yes, but I can't tell how good the performance would be
Mesrszmit Sep 20, 2024 @ 1:06am
@somewhatfrog would it be possible to make it so you don't have to attack the zombies but just get spotted?
suzinistherealjuno Sep 19, 2024 @ 4:19pm
okay cool i like this one bettter for the perfornance, does it make fenses destroyable by zombies but not by players so u can still attack through fence
somewhatfrog  [author] Sep 19, 2024 @ 3:28pm
@sampson_h2008 you need to answer on this question yourself, I guess it depends on what you want to achieve. Mods are very different even though they might appear the same at a glance. This one is multiplayer focused, where performance is key and custom safehouse zones require protection. I'd say this is more of a tool with replaceable heads, comes with fence destruction and funny messages, which can be replaced with whatever by the server team if so desired
suzinistherealjuno Sep 19, 2024 @ 2:54pm
why should i use this instead of destroyable world fences mod?
somewhatfrog  [author] Sep 19, 2024 @ 2:53am
@Mesrszmit you have to attack the zombies stuck behind the fence for quite some extent for this to happen, so don't worry about just walking around

@CallMeBilly.exe CPU is the real bottleneck, there is some game settings which have to be set certain way regardless of your PC specs:
UI Offscreen Rendering - ON
UI Rendering FPS - not higher than 30
Texture Compression - OFF (if you have 3gb+ of GPU memory)
Tiered Zombie Updates - ON
Lighting Updates - not higher than 30
Blood Decals is the biggest fps killer, but it looks cool, I disable it in MP
Also make sure "Threaded optimization" is OFF in nvidia control panel for PZ

@Scroobles McDoodle this mod has different approach, there is no performance impact for those who doesn't attack zombies stuck behind the fences, and even then it will be minimal and only to the player who does it

@Togna :spiffo:
Togna Sep 18, 2024 @ 8:45pm
Cool mod, see u on the front page
Scroobles McDoodle Sep 18, 2024 @ 8:23pm
How does this compare performance-wise to "Destroyable World Fences by Pao"?
I used to use that one on my server, but I found that it was way too check-heavy and drastically reduced performance across the board.
Billitø.exe Sep 18, 2024 @ 7:32pm
How is your game SO SMOOTH with sprinter I Have an RTX 3070
Mesrszmit Sep 18, 2024 @ 2:13pm
Will the zombies that don't see me still attack the fence?
somewhatfrog  [author] Sep 18, 2024 @ 12:07pm
@Teddybear1848 yes, only fences, not the house walls etc
Teddybear1848 Sep 18, 2024 @ 11:45am
Is it only fences that this can happen to?
