Thanks for mentioning that. The problem with the Betiraasai was that its other form didn't have a sprite assigned. I thought that it would just use the sprite of the gazelle itself, but it really needed its own copyspr as well. Now fixed, plus some typos that I also noticed while testing.

There's an error with the EA when you summon the Betiraasai; if you try to change the shape into a Gazelle it breaks the game

I don't think the first two would end up thematically appropriate, but Dom5 had a mod nation called "Adam-Ondi-Ahman" based on Mormon myths.

However, I do have loose ideas for another set of 3 nations based on the Holy Tablets, one of the major source texts for this mod. I have recently started the very beginnings of a new nation, working tile is "Yahwehan, Choice of the Adamites". Mechanically, the nation will feature 'Adamite' humans, newly created (or cloned) by the Aluhum (Annunaki) and they have 'gone forth and multiplied'. At this same cosmological time, various 'proto-divine' beings have been bound to this planet by the command of ANU, A'LYUN A'LYUN EL (the Pantokrator), creating morality. The Adamites will have access to summoning rituals to bring forth various Pretender gods' chassis, but at a lower power level. There will also be other mythical creatures that can be summoned. I'm thinking of giving the human Adamite mages astral, earth, and blood magic, with summoned creatures broken-up into that.

I didn't make this mod for any of its controversy, but instead because it was an interesting story that NEEDED to be translated to Dominions. The subjects mentioned in Lampcouch's comment below might be worth pursuing for someone as a mod, not me though. After spending months working on this mod, I'm not about to commit that much time and effort again for at least a while. There's no shortage of materials, beliefs, 'conspiracy theories', or religious systems out there for someone else to explore and make a mod out of.

Also fwiw dominions is full of stuff which is kind of problematic if you stop to think about it for like, two seconds. I don't think this mod (or the NoI mythology in general) is any worse than anything else in the base game.

No worries. EA seemed a little meh in SP but the MA nation is very interesting so far. I love digesting weird esoteric stuff in the form of a mod for one of my favorite games :)

The second shape on the Pelan Phalanx commander doesn't seem to actually get 2 more hand slots. Not sure if intended or not.

I'm not sure what the point of this comment is. This mod draws from entirely different sources. My goal was to creatively explore a syncretic mix of beliefs, much like how other nations in Dominions are inspired by mythological or historical sources. Equating this mod with esoteric Nazism is misguided. While the racial aspects can be considered problematic, re-contextualizing them in a mythological fantasy disarms their more harmful elements, allowing for a nuanced experience. No one is going to think of white people as deformed cavemen after playing this unless they already do. Critical thinking, maturity, and nuance are essential.

This Dominions nation is based on a mythologized racial superiority legend. I understand nobody here supports the belief system.

Please understand I do not support nor promote Estoteric Nazism, nor do I know anything more than reading wikipedia on the concept and strolling through the historical links.

Its adherents sought to reinterpret the tenets of the Third Reich within a new religious context. It emphasizes the mythical and spiritual aspects of Aryan supremacy, drawing from various sources such as Theosophy, Ariosophy, and Gnostic dualism. This concept was further developed by groups such as the Thule Society, which blended nationalism with mystical beliefs, positing a mythical Aryan homeland known as Hyperborea. The ideology evolved, with Savitri Devi and Miguel Serrano emerging. The Pelan hoplite seems to have its resource cost marked at 49 accidentally unless I'm missing something that makes them more valuable than the chariots. Also, you definitely might want to rewrite the Pelan Nurse description in particular. I think something that explicit is a ToS violation. Honestly otherwise surprised how fun this mod of a weird pseudomythology is.

I made this mod because the underlying mythology is a clever syncretic mix of various cultural and religious inspirations. I suggest you take this as seriously as one would any other nation for Dominions. As an organization, the Nation of Islam continues to exist regardless of this mod. I don't think there is any harm caused by having this Yakub mod. I attempted to be thoughtful in my presentation of the various aspects within. Give it a try, and I hope you will be impressed!

Thanks for all the suggestions. I just did an update that fixed or improved a lot of things. (read the change notes for details) The idea of interns having a penalty to magic paths is a very good one. Also added a new 'higher-end' mage for MA Pelan.

minor stuff i saw

EA

shabazz maceman shabazz heavy captain and shabazz heavy infantry all have 9 natural protection which does not seem intended as they are normal humans

shabazz captains (ranger, spearmen, heavy infantry) have the same descriptions as units.

MA

Palesteed knight has lowered attack from dual wield or two handed as mounted (idk what it is but dom 6 introduced it)

Pelan heavy infantry and Captain have archer stats

grafted hoplite and captain have very low attack of 4 (caused by two very long weapons, increase ambidextrous, captain has 0 ambi)

Pelan captains (hoplite, heavy infantry) have the same description as units

LA

diabolic lord description says turn into sacred devil (it turns into devil lord)

The problem with interns can probably be fixed the same way e.g. Dragons have different paths in different forms: give interns all magic their upgraded version should have, and then add malus (that will only apply to their intern form).

From what I can tell, magic paths seem to be set when a unit is first 'created', and xpshape doesn't/can't change this. I'm going to remove the Yakubite Interns from recruitment. They were intended to be cheap blood hunters that would be promoted into full Yakubites, but this seems to be a limitation of the game, unfortunately. I'll give Yakubites a douse bonus to make up for this.

Yeah, I'll fix that one too. The problem was that the text for a description is contained with quotation marks, and any other quotes in between get interpreted as the end of the description, so I have to replace them with apostrophes.
