also this mod is very cool
It worked a lot better than you'd think it would and was a lot easier to use than you'd think it would be, but if gun owners had the option to just buy a cheaper pump-action shotgun instead of retrofitting a shotgun with a newfangled contraption, they would choose to do that. Because of this the Alof's Mechanism is not a common piece of shotgun hardware but it is a prime example of "if it looks stupid but it works."
There is this thing on the Steam Workshop called a "search bar" that you can click on and type in.

The satisfaction you get when using this weapon cannot be underestimated.
