Thanks guys!
Mod no longer needs Audio Mixer, so it works fine with base game audio.
@Oh_Man[TFE]
Splendid advice thank you, I just updated the mod. Works fine and the new voices work alongside it. Thank you!
Nope, I've just replaced what's there exactly. Only the .wem files. I've always just waited for the Audio Mixer mod to update and then whatever new VO is added in a patch will work fine alongside modded VO.
Alith's lines for when he goes into a city from the sea have been updated accordingly from the original VO.
The mod will actually be updated tomorrow with patch 6.3. A family emergency brought me home early, so I recorded the lines earlier tonight. Thanks again for pointing that stuff out!
Just found the file numbers too! Very very far down the list of potential campaign_vo categories, so thank you again, your description helped me perfectly! When I get back from this extremely long work trip I'll be able to fix that promptly.
Thank you very much! It will likely be an extreme amount of time before I can correct that, I am nowhere near my recording area right now and won't be until about December of this year, but thank you very much for being so specific! Helps a lot and I'm glad you like the mod!
Just noticed that when moving Anar's army from the sea to a port city, Alith's voice reverts back to its default setting. "In port" is the specific line. Cheers!
Hey thanks man, glad you like it, thanks for the comment!
Glad ya like it and yeah I agree, some female VO would be great for those reskins!
Thank you!
Very welcome!
Mod is fixed. Still had to rebuild it but it went a lot faster than I thought. Everything is working fine now, plus Audio Mixer is updated, so you can run all the audio mods you want.
Well... bad news man. It seems somehow, some way... the mod got corrupted, the audio folder for it was basically empty... so I have to rebuild it. This may take some time.
Correct. Until the Audio Mixer is fixed, running multiple audio mods is a no go. And I guess the Audio Mixer is kind of like a 'movie' type mod, which means even if you don't have it active, but are still subscribed, it will mess with your audio.
That's why ya gotta delete it out of your files after unsubbing if you want to run any sort of audio mod right now.
Also apparently, according to a comment on Audio Mixer, if you just unsub from Audio Mixer and delete it from your workshop files, this and other audio mods should work fine. Mind you, you'll only be able to run one at a time, otherwise they'll overwrite each other, and this one in particular I know will have the 6.0 new characters/units be mute, but if you're looking to play Alith that shouldn't matter too much since his general zone is pretty far away from any of the new guys.
Audio Mixer needs to be updated, and then it will work fine. Whenever that is, they're hard at work on it.
Glad you like it, thank you!
Thanks very much man!
Yes please! I'll hit you up on Discord presently.
As far as I know there's only 2 mods that outright change pre-existing voices, being this one and the Smart Throgg mod. And there are quite a few mods out there that change or add audio in general, with different authors among them all, so it's mainly up to someone else if there is a compilation of them.
Personally I'm all for it!
Hey man! I am very well aware of your work through OvN, very formidable! Thank you for the kind words.
Regrettably I must pass on the offer. I'm looking to shift to doing VO full time, and this body of work, for whatever faults and strengths it has, is meant to be something I can reference and promote, but that only works if it still has my voice.
I'm sure you would do a phenomenal job! If ever you decide to make your own version, I can give you my reference sheet that has all the .wem file numbers and the associated voice lines, saves a lot of time.
