thank you! this mod is great! Production specialists can't do plant work so their skill is set to 0 and suddenly they now take ages to cut down trees when building stuff

I think what I did was I downloaded this one because the one I was originally using wasn't updated to 1.6 yet, but when it did, I just added it back to my modlist and forgot to remove this one.

Getting errors like this:

I notice you mentioned you just updated to incldue patches for Vanilla Ideology Expanded, but I'm still getting these errors. I unsubscribed and resubscribed. Haven't found if it actually causes issues yet, so it could be harmless errors.

I'm still not getting the specialized roles for specific memes. Let me see if the mod "All ideologies are fluid" mod is the culprit

Heckerpecker Are you using any of these mods? Millitarism Meme, Vanilla ideology Expanded - Memes and Structures, or Vanilla Factions Expanded - Pirates? It looks like I may have forgotten to update their patches.

Can confirm that with just this mod + dependencies, ideo roles beyond leader and moral guide are disabled.

Starting the game with just this, VE Framework and Harmony throws an error "Exception loading def from file Precepts_Role.xml: System.ArgumentException: Exception parsing Verse.WorkTags from ""--->System.ArgumentException:" is not a valid value for Verse.WorkTags. Valid values are:* None"

Hey, it seems that this mod is removing the ability to create any ideo roles besides the moral guide and leader. When I remove this mod I can re-create the roles, but the mod apparently removes them.

gave my main combatant a persona mono sword and then i gave the shooting specialist realizing afterward making it useless

This is a colony saver. I gave my only cook the farmer specialist role, because I overlooked the disabled tasks saying "cooking". I assumed that someone who takes care of the farms, can still cook.

I'd like to have an optional, small morale impact, I just haven't gotten around to it. I might try here soon, but there's a chance nothing comes of it.

Well what if there's a -5 morale impact on them doing unsuitable work? Then you could rewrite the in-game role description to say they will be unhappy with doing the specified work instead.
Then it'd still keep the strategy of maintaining roles whilst still allowing them to contribute to your colonies productivity when needed, or if their skill is high enough it's worth the morale penalty.

Would it be possible to add a mod option so that it only allows the override if they have a passion for it, maybe an option for one or two tiers. I don'y want my production specialist, who's highest stat is cooking, with a burning passion for it, to suddenly just STOP cooking. Plus, I can 100% imagine a master chef going all in on SCALE. Purely for RP.

With robots misc anything not a shooter/melee role is kinda pointless by year 3.
