No fog and snow have no affect .and I don't think I'll be making any changes to the b41 version anymore
..HnKeeeTssi May 21 @ 9:12pm
hey i'm about to install it to 41v but what about fog an snow? does it affect the clothes or na?
gunslinger  [author] May 16 @ 9:03am
@Scott2277 no it just dries. I forgot I was gonna see about doing that. might be added after I finally come back and fix the sprites completely
Scott2277 May 16 @ 6:01am
If you leave dirty clothes out in the rain do they get clean?

For it to work you need the "BuildingMenu" mod for B42, but it's only available for B41.78, and they said it wouldn't be coming soon :(
DD Feb 5 @ 3:15am
@gunslinger ace, im waiting for build 43, but i do like so many modders be like "my work is done, no updates or mod needed for build 42"
gunslinger  [author] Feb 4 @ 6:13pm
@DD i understand, the newest build has everything handled in vanilla since it has a proper build menu it was easier to do myself
DD Feb 4 @ 5:59pm
Regardless, cool idea for a mod.
DD Feb 4 @ 5:58pm
@gunslinger We have hammers, sledgehammers, saws, concrete (b42 has masonry, correct me if i am wrong), i see know reason 4 metal pipes and some wire couldnt make this. Just be aware, i meant no hostility in my message, it was just seems that the realism argument is rather silly. Not every country anchors their washing lines in concrete as permanent fixtures. A wire between two objects tied works. Sure I get you are using in game assets, I have no issue with modders no longer updating B41, you gotta keep moving forward, I get that, Just consider it going forwards? Making another mod a dependency when it's possible to to so without doesn't seem logical. I know we can do the admin stuff, it's just you know how it is, its a little flow breaky haha.

I really dont know what country you live in where clotheslines require concrete for installation... It's a rarity here.
gunslinger  [author] Feb 4 @ 1:34pm
@DD for the realism argument: you know the bottom of those poles have upwards of 100 to 200lb of concrete at the bottom of them right? I have never had issues with the build menu personally using over 300 mods. besides that i am very unlikely to update anything for B41 anymore, i dont have time to jump between versions constantly. my recommendation if you are in a server you or your friends are hosting you can place anything in admin mode with the brush tool
DD Feb 4 @ 1:19pm
@gunslinger, also the clothes horse is in the craftable menu without build menu, so why not the clothesline?
DD Feb 4 @ 1:17pm
@gunslinger, I don't really understand the argument about not being able to pick up the object and move it for those of us that do not use Build Menu, you state realism? In the base game we can carry a fridge around but not two poles and some wire???? This mod is largely useless without the ability to pick it up like any static unless we wish to use build menu, build menu breaks many many other mods and as a result I and my friends do not use it. Please could you add the ability to either just craft it without build menu or to pick it up like any other static, because we installed this hoping to save juice on using dryers and alas, after right clicking with various tools and using the static placement tool, it is impossible to move two poles and some wire.

@gunslinger Thank you for your work. The clothes horse works well.
gunslinger  [author] Jan 30 @ 3:08pm
@흉내쟁이 I have fixed this. idk if it will fix any currently stuck ones though
흉내쟁이 Jan 28 @ 5:14am
In Build 42, once installed, it cannot be moved
gunslinger  [author] Jan 28 @ 4:52am
@흉내쟁이 i though i got this working, What build are you in? ill look at it when i get the chance
흉내쟁이 Jan 28 @ 4:34am
If I place the clothes horse on the floor, an error occurs. I can't fold it back or move it.
gunslinger  [author] Jan 12 @ 8:59am
I've just updated the mod with a fix, hopefully this fixes any errors anyone is getting
Kaoeutsu Jan 11 @ 1:58pm
causing crashes, I have no idea why, I was just hitting bandits and then the game crashed
gunslinger  [author] Jan 2 @ 9:28pm
I'm working on an update for this, I'll figure out how to add to the build menu in game
Huellas Jan 2 @ 8:08pm
is there a way to build it in build 42? building menu mod is not updated yet
Deon ☣ Dec 29, 2024 @ 10:52am
Fantastic realism/roleplay/QoL mod. Thank you.

salas951 Dec 24, 2024 @ 6:40am
deberia ser vanilla
gunslinger  [author] Dec 21, 2024 @ 2:25pm
@tilarium i just got it updated. It was different recipe scripts and then the tiles directory doesn't do 2x the same. I'm not sure how well it works but i'm testing while playing
tilarium Dec 21, 2024 @ 2:18pm
@Gunslinger need to make 2 new folders "common" and "42" with a copy of the mod files in the "42" folder. So in this case it would be 3282215361/mods/ClothingLine with a '42', a 'common' and the 'media' folders along with the mod.info and then a copy of the 'media' folder and mod.info file within the '42' folder.
gunslinger  [author] Dec 20, 2024 @ 10:06am
i'll be working on it. As soon as they get out info on how to update. I've attempted to do it myself but everything is broken
Klaarturo Dec 20, 2024 @ 6:27am
Hopefully this mod will be updated for Build 42, it is one of my favorite mods. Please, when possible, I would love you to update it :)
Frijolito Dec 5, 2024 @ 9:27pm
Not working
Titto Hokkaido Nov 10, 2024 @ 8:26pm
+ᛗᚨᚾᛞᚨᛚᛟᚱᛖ yes
Tazor Nov 6, 2024 @ 12:02am
Thank you! It works now.
gunslinger  [author] Nov 5, 2024 @ 4:10pm
clothing lines should appear in the building menu with the submod enabled. Also added clotheshorses to it
Tazor Nov 5, 2024 @ 12:21pm
No problem. Take your time.
gunslinger  [author] Nov 5, 2024 @ 12:04pm
I'm sorry guys, i changed the location of a list of the stuff i use. i forgot that the patch that adds this to building menu uses it from that specific spot so i need to tell it where it is. I'll fix this now
Tazor Nov 5, 2024 @ 11:20am
@gunslinger It's not working for me. So the load order from top to bottom:

Building Menu
Functional Clothing Line
Functional Clothing Line Fix

In what build menu category should the clothing line be? Does it only work on a new save?
gunslinger  [author] Nov 5, 2024 @ 11:04am
@Tazor @Blackcain @Pman_24 make sure building menu is loaded before this one in your mod load order. I forgot that with how this is done it won't work unless it loads after, i might make an addon so it's more clear and it will require it and force load in order
gunslinger  [author] Nov 5, 2024 @ 10:50am
@Tazor They aren't made to be picked up because i was keeping realism in mind. I was planning on adding a timed action to pick it up but that is something i'll need to figure out. I'm going to check the build menu issue out and get that showing up again, then maybe i'll add a sandbox option to make the tiles moveable like furniture
Tazor Nov 5, 2024 @ 10:18am
How do you pick up the clothing lines you find in the world? I made them functional by right clicking. I can put clothes on them. But I can't pick them up.

And same problem. Can't find it in Building Menu.
gunslinger  [author] Nov 4, 2024 @ 3:51pm
well that's good to know. i haven't been actually playing at all recently so i didnt notice since it worked before. I'm going to check it out and see if i can fix it
Blackcain Nov 4, 2024 @ 3:36pm
Yeah it's gone now from the Building Menu. Maybe the latest update removed it. It used to be there, I saw it but did not have the prerequisites to craft it. Now I do, I can no longer find it from the Building Menu option
gunslinger  [author] Oct 29, 2024 @ 9:55pm
i've rewritten this mod with an update to drying. Idk if anyone noticed but the wetness for all clothes on a line would not update properly, typically it would only be the first one you look at. If anyone notices that it's still doing this let me know
gunslinger  [author] Oct 25, 2024 @ 8:29pm
I'm assuming this is single player. Was this mod enabled along with the build menu when setting up the sandbox options? I don't think it should matter but i don't remember if the option appears to enable or it is just added
Pman_24 Oct 25, 2024 @ 5:22pm
Oh it's not there for me! I have everything enabled on the building menu mod and can even craft the clothes horse in the other normal crafting menu so i know the mod is working, I have no idea then!
gunslinger  [author] Oct 23, 2024 @ 5:35pm
@Pman_24 in the building menu mod i believe it is in appliances
Pman_24 Oct 23, 2024 @ 5:02pm
What category in the build menu? My old eyes can't seem to find it! :D
TheLuckyOneWhoCries Oct 21, 2024 @ 1:23am
very usefull:steamthumbsup:
googoofruit Oct 13, 2024 @ 2:17pm
this is actually so cute, I'm obsessed with mods that add functionality to vanilla objects and this just really hits the spot for me :heartoful:
gunslinger  [author] Oct 9, 2024 @ 10:36am
Glad it works. It is a bit more complex than you'd think but the context option felt like the best one
