Going for full on Hallow Lava
even still infurnum will eventually support this mod as its based on cal's implementation of lava styles which I myself have overhauled
as for the texture, I might dabble in texture pack support for people who want to resprite the biome lava textures
Also the Ice and Jungle variants confuse me sometimes, I once jumped into a lava pool in the Jungle thinking it's water, and the Ice variant looks like solid blocks to me.
As for the tile interactions…
Simple answer:
No.
Long answer:
Liquids are already hard baked into the code extensively with 0 support in tmodloader and editing in tile interactions as well as style specific interactions isn’t possible at this point in time.
some better and more detailed images showing the lava specific to each biome
as well as descriptions of the effects of each of them
and maybe also if it wasn't too difficult to add, some specific effect on the environment for each different type of lava
for example
since the lava in the Snow biome has a semi-hardened lava appearance (which makes sense since it would be in an extremely cold environment) you could also add an effect that when it comes into contact with ice and snow it would form a layer of obsidian like we see with water
and also desert lava, which appears to have more of a molten sand appearance than actual lava, could form a layer of glass instead of obsidian when it comes into contact with water
As flr lava hair dye, it wouldn’t be too bad to add it but it conflicts with making this mod possibly client side in the future, but I guess we’ll see when I eventually update the mod in the future.
Keep up the good work mod dev
Also, is it possible to make customizable lava die like the hair color thingy? So you buy a lava color for late game and color one biome with it. so like, i go to an artificial desert, and color my desert lava lilac, and then paint this desert in lilac, so i have a custom color for a biome!
Just a suggestion if ya wanna expand the mod anyday, it would he kinda hard, and ik that, but would be so coooooool!
This is a genuine question - do you have Aspergers? I can hear your nasally voice straight through that comment.
You understand that 1. this is a fantasy game, 2. its a library. if you want to make the lavastyles realistic then you can make your own mod with this one as a dependency to make or remake the lavastyles
so in coldest biomes lava would change the color, and in hottest biomes (dessert) lava would be bright orange, in ice biome lava would be brownish red or something like that
