Yeah, that, it wasn't hiding itself at all. Just followed your advice and now it's working properly.

I believe that you're talking about the edited paintblock acting as the CA/SHP indicator lamp. If by sticking out you mean it is not "hiding" itself into the front at all, try setting physics detail to low. If you mean it is slightly poking out like seen on the screenshots, don't worry it's perfectly fine, kind of necessary :)
