I recently replayed it with Greenskins Expanded Hero Skill Trees by maffers and BUU: "Band-Aids" for Underutilized Units by standardheadache, and the wolf units were much more useful as skirmisher hit-and-run units in Gitila's hands, with two Goblin Big-Bosses helping either Chariots or Wolf Riders excel at different things.

I agree with you for the most part, some redesign is in order but I don't know what that looks like yet as the upgrades to wolves are already quite considerable.

I love the theme and aethestics of this faction, and Gitilla is an amazing gobbo lore-wise, but the mechanics of using Wolf Riders unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired. The low mass makes charging rough, even with bonuses, and the lack of armor piercing makes going against the Chorfs, other Greenskins, the Dwarfs, etc. very rough. Without some sort of ability to super-giga boost the Wolf Riders like how Grom boosts Pump Chariots and other Gobs, Gitilla unfortunately can't compete at all with any faction past the early game.

Moon Howlerz is not the key for this mods faction just to be clear so I don't think that is actually anything to do with us but I'll check it.

My log shows that during the turn processing for the Green Skin faction 'Da Howlerz' (wh3_main_grn_moon_howlerz / Moon Howlerz), there was an immediate call to create_agent(). This faction attempted to create a Skaven Warlord (wh2_main_skv_warlord). This is an absolutely abnormal cross-faction/cross-race character creation.

The mod should not be doing anything to break that, I'll have to have a chat with Mixu about it as it might be something deeper.

Yeah we are aware there are some annoy bugs with the way horde stance works, it's band-aided on because the default Greenskin Raid stance does not seem to work for him.

The horde system we set up has presented a few problems as updates has happened I think we may have to rethink the approach to this mod in future, a whole rewrite will take some time though.

@Lost2Insanity, I am also running into the issue where my Waagh points are stuck at 50 and it never increases. I have checked multiple mods but this is the only Greenskin mod that I use, was the issue added back in with the latest update?

Edit: I've played with wurrzag when writing my other comment and got gitilla through the 'recruit defeated legendary lords' mod. if aquired that way gitilla doesn't have raiding stance.

if you start as gitilla you have raiding stance available on him

Great mod! I think its little bit pitty that you have to take settlements in order to get some troops and to stop your waaagh from dying. I think it would be great to make for Gitilla simple horde system just like it is made in Blackskullz Horde by Mortrau. According to lore Gitilla never stayed for too long on one place so I think being just nomad, raiding and killing without taking care whats left behind is more fitting.

Normal raiding stance should be on Gitilla, we fixed that.
Encampment Stance does not work on Gitilla however this cannot be fixed but it is on other armies.

Raiding still seems broken. The encamp has no raiding and there is no normal raiding stance. Am I missing something?

Anyone else had an issue where waaagh points don't accumulate so you never can use it? (maybe some other mod is blocking it but can't see which it could be?!)

We fixed the Raiding Stance on Gitilla, we really tried to get the normal Encamp Raiding stance working while in Horde mode but it does not function with the setup we have used.

I do hope you give Skarsnik's Waaagh a comparative look. I think Da Howlerz would benefit from a more range focused ability.

I can also assure you there are many who whisper of a terror from the East. A great host of riders under the banner of the Hobgoblin Khan. (The game needs a not-Mongol faction in world. I am sure it would be popular).

1. I'll have a look at it.
2. Not without doing it the Wood Elf way, the changes to Scrap Upgrades mean we can't do the multiple ammo types through it anymore because they overwrite each other and making them exclusive locks out all the other upgrades.
3. When it comes to Greenskins and their adjacent cousins if you can think it you can bet I have, time is a premium though so who can say, every project I have worked on with Mixu has been born from a random comment.

Love this mod. I look forward to the return of a Raiding option.

Question: Have you considered changing Gitilla's Waaagh to allow for ranged damage? Currently, Skarsnik's Waaagh seems more ranged oriented and better than Da Howlerz. Da Howlerz have a specialty with range (it seems to me), therefore, forcing melee combat to build Waaagh is contra their focus.

Second Question: would it be possible to add fire arrows as a shooting option ?

Third Questions: have you and your fellows thought of using your talents for making a distinct Hobgoblin Great Khan faction (something where they are independent of Chaos Dorfs) and can be masters of the Steppes in their own right?

The changes to how stances work in the database have disabled Gitilla's ability to raid specifically and we currently do not know why the raiding effect is not functioning, we will investigate and try to get this fixed as soon as possible.

...Why does Gitilla have an option to increase his income from raiding if he can't raid? No raiding stance, and his encamp stance doesn't seem to raid like other greenskins

New faction exclusive scrap upgrade - Deff-Whistle Arrows has been added and the old selection of ammo types have been disabled.

It is completely understandable, but we would like a complete army of goblins in the style of Genghis Khan and it becomes unviable due to the lack of drilling, especially in the initial area which is against the Dawi Zhar. :steamsad:

It was considered when we added the ammo types but the problem is that armour-piercing skirmish cavalry are overpowered and are capable of kiting an army to death plus it would become the single best option to pick so it was something we hoped to avoid. If possible we'd like to try and find other options to give players the leg up they may require before resorting to such drastic measures.

Would you consider adding an Armor Piercing ranged scrap upgrade for Wolf Riders? It's hard to stay wolf rider heavy when fighting Dwarfs and then most factions later in the game

This and black pit don't seem to be working with the old world mod. This spawns a very small elf army under the map then crashes, the black pit just doesn't overwrite the vanilla faction
