Aye, perfect. As for an SSBN…well there is the Soviet submarine that I have reworked and is in my list. I am not sure if I want to start on an Ohio class for example, they are very similar interior wise due to the modular build. Also I want to make what is already in my list better first, less woble…better microcontrollers and overall more reliable ^^ but I would never say never.

Thanks! Its working great now, tapping the depth change instead of holding it seems to fix the dolphin issue. Do you have any plans on making an SSBN, I find the workshop has precious few that actually work and look good.

There should be labels on the tank meters to show you the recommended levels. It is a little bit more or less depending on the physics and your speed afterwards.

As for the ballast tanks, are they pre-configured for neutral buoyancy or do they have reccomended fill levels?

Aye, not wrong per se but you should wait till the reactor is started up and generating enough power (never use infinite energy) and never go full throttle. Also if you dive, try to be gentle and just dive a few feet/meters at a time. It is a bit wonky but it should stay level that way. If you ever enter the dolphin state, you can emerge full and dive anew. Did not find a better way to make that beast habdle better as of now.

I've noticed the sub has a tendency to dolphin dive and doesn't stay level. Anything I could be doing wrong?

Cheers mate and yes, still lot of work into the logic side of things but torpedos and VLS work perfectly. Periscopes are still wonky and if you suffer any leakage...you should head to the scuba exit instead of the bilge pumps. I also know it is not 100% accurate to a real LA class interior but that is for obvious security reasons.

Hi there, you add the mods at the start of a new game (there is a mods tab) and then spawn in the sub via an enlarged workbench, or by creating a new mission in the editor.

Okay. After your reactor is started (as per the instructions) and you are at around 5000 power, sit in the helm seat, activate the conning tower fins and just dive or emerge there via the hotkeys. You can check your depth in the display and on the dial on the left of the main console. You do not set the depth per keypad or touchscreen, you just dive till you reach your desired depth and the boat stays at that level.

could you make the missies a bit easier to use tho cus it took my forever to figure out why the missiles weren't going for there target you should do like a thing where a radar spins around and when it detects something you can click it and it auto targets also pls make it just a single periscope that can go a lot higher and look cooler, last thing please make alarms more realistic i guess you can say kinda like a WW2 alarm and ill tell you if i find anything else that could use some work PS im not trying to hate on your creation it is amazing but if you could just make things simpler that would be nice, thanks have a nice day

@ToxicWatersTTV there is a list of Mods needed to run the boat. If you do ot load them, you will have missing blocks.

@NxqhtSoul no, still doing some more rework while at it. I still want the boat to also dive with only the ballast system and the dive planes. Very hard to manage with this one.

The listing only occurs at like very high speeds and turning but at 40 throttle its fine it barely lists while turning.

Alright, missing parts should not be but I have a suspition. I have removed the invisible block infront of the fluid ports via mod and a special compass component, with the invisible block removed as well in the periscope. The fluid ports in the diesel engine room are exactly before the large fluid ports and therefore overlap, I see. Need to change the position of the ports then to not have people needing to add another mod to the game.

As for the speed, don't go over 40 yes. You can keep the boat down at 33 knot but this is already very fast for this kind of sub and the counter propellers. So keep it a bit under you should be fast enought either way. You can of course add even more propellers to the boat to counter the upwards drag, you can also fit more control planes onto it to force it better under water at speed.

I will try to balance it out more. Also for the listing, did this only occur at max speed and turning, or while cruising along?

Idk if i did something wrong but when spawning it says missing components and afterwards says x6 fluid ports removed bc of overlap? i see two missing ports on the bilges in diesel engine room but cant find the rest also two missing blocks on the each periscope which i think were the controls for the periscope rotation other than that it works very well. it can hold depth at max speed but turn at max speed and it starts going up and lists a lot but goes back to depth when stopping the turn, at 40 throttle u can turn and keeps depth and doesnt list as bad. Other than that its very good.

- New periscope - Uses the new block
- Towed array now has a function. If you speed up, your passive sonar will noise up and you cannot see anything. With the towed array deployed, you can clear up the noise again.
- Diving operations fixed - I accidentally blocked up some propellers...unblocked now!
- More bilge pumps and fixed diesel pipe
- Some retouch of the hull
- Changed the various klaxons
- New key for locking all the hatches in the CIC
- Other stuff I forgot about

Then you are doing something wrong Dan. The boats ballast tanks do not need to be filled/tampered with at all.
You started the reactor as described and waited for the power level to be correct?
Switched on the turbine?
Activated the sail depth ruders?
Even in the current non updated form I can dive the boat as is.

Alright yea I noticed that too when I was trying to reupload fixed missiles for someones sub, Hopefully stormworks fixes it soon I am trying to use your amazing sub, Also Im about to make a nuclear sub and was going to ask if i could use your edited mk48 adcap themed marino torpedoes?

Hi there.
I am long ready but Stormworks dev blocked upload of modded workshop items and therefore, I cannot get my fixed sub up even thought it is already there. If I upload it, it gives me a failure modded creations are not allowed for upload warning. It is really great, first finally opening up the game for mods and then blocking the modders to make creations for it.

Yeah, it does work but you need to use the original stormloaded mod still, since it is not updated to be loaded via the internal mod loader still.

I made a reupload to a mods version but, had to remove it, cause it was without permission. We need to wait till 5ANDEZ makes the move to the new gameversion.

Hi there thog, be my guest in fixing this (no really no sarcasm intended, you may even post a fixed version)...I am not sure how I can make it work better at the moment even thought I added air out vents, there is still a kind of overpressure that blocks further waterintake?

But on another note...you can just ignore the ballast system and just set your depth by using the helm station (after the reactor is purring) and you will keep that depth.

I would still also rather have a working ballast system as well to really "control" the depth by it, alas...it is very unreliable and I cannot seam to control the damn thing.

In further testing flooding the ballast tanks is actually draining them making it impossible to submerge the sub. Huge shame. This is the best sub I've seen for stormworks.

Been trying to dive for about an hour now. Ballast tanks seem to stop filling a little over halfway.

I added some noisemakers in the sonar room, may work against torpedos or at least mask your signature for enemy sonar operators.

Fixed the massive wobble in stormy weather, should be a way smoother ride now.

Just checked the boat with the supposed ballast issue. It is not the best diving sub but it will dive proper with depth hold under this conditions:
- Reactor is fired up and power is generated.
- Speed is around ~10 more or less...don't flank speed constantly.
- Activate automatic dynamic hydraulic (button to your left of the pilot seat) This activates the depth plane controller.
- Set your depth.

Darn it, you may be right with that. Need to recheck and will fix that. Propably switched the wires for the controller while replacing the system. Cheers for the feedback.
