-- the principle is similar to that of a builder with only 1 labor point left. I still haven't figured out how the Roman Legions and the new Qin Shi Huang manage to have unit numbers unaffected by the number of times remaining.
However, I also don't quite understand what causes the long wait for the combat animation to happen, which is a real shame, and I'm now consulting other experienced Modders as well.
And I've found a bit of a "bug" - in military units other than warriors there is one unit in formation and in fight it looks like is losing it and there is long time waiting between start and ending of a fighting animation.
Note: When the wildlife module is turned on, it is possible for a Trapped Civilization Pathfinder to be killed by wildlife born in the same cell.
