Hello, how can we use it ? I mean, do we need to be a mechanitor ?
And can we just build them like robots but they are not counted as colons ?

In your mod "Star Wars Bacta" you patch the HospitalBeds linkables i an increadably destructive wa while having the corect versin commented out just below.

Why do you have this require blasters, but blasters Requires Droids...that's a circular dependancy. That's not good.

The ability to hack depends on the level of research. Unfortunately, there is no more suitable job for them in terms of gaming.

I'm not sure with Astromech is the appropriate choice for a researcher droid. They are capable hackers, mechanics, help starfighter targeting and repairs. But I don't know about research.

bit of a misunderstanding on my part how do i make them ingame. like do i spawn them with a building.

I will try to explain with an example as briefly as possible. Install and configure a text editor, I recommend https://www.sublimetext.com/3 .
Go to the folder of my mod through the game (select in the list of mods) open the file Defs \ Races_Droids.xml:
1) press search ctrl + F enter B1. Copy the code from ThingDef to PawnKindDef.

ThingDef - here the droid race is created where the name, description, weight, speed, price, armor, and other characteristics of the droid race are indicated.
PawnKindDef - here you can specify which race is used (<race>KR_B1_Droid</race>), strength points in the raid (<combatPower>70</combatPower>), texture, texture size, weapons.

2) The texture is created in 3 versions: front, side and back, an example in the folder [KR] Star Wars Droids\Common\Textures\Races\B1
3) In the file Weapons_Droid.xml you can also copy the weapon and create a new one.
4) To add it to the craft, see the file [KR] Star Wars Droids\Common\Patches\ThingDefs_Patch.xml:
KR_B1_Droid_Recipe -- crafting property (cost, requirements, released product)
Corpse_KR_B1_Droid - the body of a dead droid (used in the recipe for repairing droids)
