I love the space kudzu flavor, but I'm taking that MFPNP diss personally.

wood retexture and it goes from little shop of horrors to darkwood real fast

works great for me, thank you!

What I like most about this mod is that is sets apart the differences between Anomaly horrors and VFE flesh horrors. Instead of blurring them together.

Now we have some darker good idea gone wrong vibes to this horror. As some one tried to cure the world's need for food. But ended up having the world consume the people instead.

1. Should be totally save safe. I added and removed it several times during testing and had no problems whatsoever.

2. It's a retexture mainly, though it does also patch labels and descriptions. Those shouldn't cause any kind of incompatibility or error though, worst case scenario they just don't work.

3. No idea, sorry. I don't do the whole 'texture optimizing' thing myself.

@Oracle of Thessia

Hello, I don't like the flesh mass as well in my medieval gameplay. But is this safe to add halfway and remove halfway as well? in case there's a gamebreaking error.

is this just a retexture mod?

Can I optimized the textures in rimpy? Guides says that I should avoid optimizing textures/retexture mods.

While I like the gross viscera just fine, I think I'll use this mod sometimes just to change things up a bit. Would you consider retexturing Alpha Memes' "Flesh cult" style to match? Either way, good work!
Mitz Apr 27, 2024 @ 6:50pm
Yay! Less gross viscera now!
Oracle of Thessia  [author] Apr 27, 2024 @ 3:09pm
Thanks to Visandar_the_Unliving, now has a custom retexture for the fleshmass walls, now they're all root-y to match the "rootmass" name.

If you prefer the old recolor, those files are still in the mod in a subfolder, just move them back out.

@Dust I would assume so, I haven't played with it but I haven't changed anything mechanically. the only thing this mod changes is the textures and the names/descriptions of things.
Dust Apr 27, 2024 @ 12:51pm
Does the captured core still produce twisted flash?
azll Apr 26, 2024 @ 7:51am
i didnt know i prefered this, thank you

Ah, thank you so much <3

@AuntyDonna - Unity AssetStudio to extract the game files. If you search it, it's on github created by Perfare. Just make sure you set the options correctly for exporting; in particular you want to set "Group exported assets by" to "container path", that will export everything into the correct file structure.

Though it doesn't capitalize the folders correctly which is a pain when things are case sensitive, so you'll have to do that big manually.
Nishe Apr 23, 2024 @ 8:53am
Yo, where did you get the source files for anomaly textures?
Aulwynd Apr 23, 2024 @ 4:50am
Cool! :p
C A T T O Apr 23, 2024 @ 1:19am
Average Vietnam veterans nightmare.
PALSJ Apr 22, 2024 @ 9:33pm
Honestly, thanks. Flesh horror doesn't gross me out TOO much, but this is def preferable while still maintaining the "god I hate this" vibes of Anomaly. :luv: Appreciated!
Morcalvin Apr 22, 2024 @ 5:37pm
Feed me Seymour!
Dave the Necromancer Apr 21, 2024 @ 1:06pm
the idea of flowers with teeth chasing a herbalist is funny
FeralFerret Apr 21, 2024 @ 6:24am
This would be neat as a new event as well!
Lama man Apr 21, 2024 @ 5:29am
Groot is No longer playing along he's Mad now
Zairya Apr 21, 2024 @ 2:18am
Thank you very much!
I'm currently looking for mods that make anomaly more tribal/ medieval friendly and yeah. I hate this flesh-theme. We're still talking about an archotec machine which is basically the planet... So why the hack use flesh? Manipulating plant matter is far simpler... Honestly, I would have understood if they released swarms of insects but not that flesh wall thing.
Harkmagic Apr 20, 2024 @ 10:00pm
I would appreciate this as an entirely separate event with slightly different rules.
Autumn Apr 20, 2024 @ 12:57pm
The flesh theme of this wasn't getting to me (although it does with other things, absolutely hate Terraria's crimson) but honestly the "HORRIBLE FLESH MASS EATS ALL THE THINGS OOO HORROR" trope is getting really old and I love the idea of what amounts to alien super-kudzu. Definitely going to use this once I get Anomaly.
DigiDragoon Apr 20, 2024 @ 11:28am
Honestly I'll probably use this once i get the dlc.
Azuraal Apr 20, 2024 @ 5:56am
I love this mod, I was not bothered by the flesh themeing, but i find plant based horror more interesting and less trite.
Reminds me of Thorian from Mass Effect.
LioTheManlyBadAssHero Apr 20, 2024 @ 4:32am
U could also (if there is, idk i dont have anomoly) change items/the things the flesh can drop and such to plant things
Helixien Apr 20, 2024 @ 1:21am
Nice work!
Latex Santa Apr 19, 2024 @ 10:47pm
@Oracle of Thessia
I prefer the fleshy horror to this Day of the Triffids thing you got going on here.
But good on you for making this mod. I'm sure this flesh-mass thing bothered other people as well.
This mod of yours may be the determining factor that gets them to buy Anomaly.
Godspeed, modder. o7
SalmonToastie Apr 19, 2024 @ 9:36pm
AWESOME
Dietrich Apr 19, 2024 @ 7:24pm
This makes it fit more into a tribal or medieval run too, as the flesh and other bits would just be too crazy.
homounicornio Apr 19, 2024 @ 5:15pm
This is so nice!
fallenscion Apr 19, 2024 @ 4:49pm
As someone with a severely arachnophobic loved-one, I always appreciate any kind of mod or setting that increases accessibility for those with extreme fears of any given subject. Kudos to the mod-maker.
Wretched Boy-King Apr 19, 2024 @ 4:31pm
Doesn't bother me, but I'm glad others can enjoy it now.
Oracle of Thessia  [author] Apr 19, 2024 @ 4:15pm
idk, it just bugs me viscerally ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It almost made me not want to get the DLC, but I figured I could make this mod and it wouldn't bother me so much.
Vartarhoz Apr 19, 2024 @ 4:14pm
The Thing, that's we need in game.
Autismus Maximus Apr 19, 2024 @ 4:06pm
why do you hate the flesh horror so much?
Vaarelsauce Apr 19, 2024 @ 4:00pm
Incomprehensible Horror: 🤮😨🥩

Incomprehensible Horror, Vegan: 🤗😊
Sovereign Apr 19, 2024 @ 3:42pm
Thank you.
PunkyRoo Apr 19, 2024 @ 3:26pm
Happy to see this. I think all the flesh stuff is gross. :P
Naturtok Apr 19, 2024 @ 3:25pm
this reminds me of the creeper world games, except green :0
Archilyte Apr 19, 2024 @ 3:25pm
u know what this is actually really cool lol, and also means people running vanilla genetics expanded wont have two different flesh horrors rampaging!

(if you wanna reskin the gene failures from vge please make it a seperate mod instead of shoving it in here)
Brian Apr 19, 2024 @ 3:24pm
