I thougt that I would be able to make brooms move with this mod. But it still great.

Reposting, made a command typo. I found out a way to increase Magicka using console commands. Some stubborn followers would remain at a base 50 magicka meaning it was almost impossible to teach them anything other than novice as stated in the description. This method will probabily require being done many times over the course of a play through and I can't assure this won't cause any problems further down the line of your game but I have a fix for myself at the moment.

Open console commands, click your follower and a number ID should show up.

To check your follower's magicka type (with their number ID still visible/selected)
"getavinfo magicka" and it should come up with relevent infomation telling you their stat for it.

To change their magicka type (again with ID visible)
"setav magicka 100" or whatever other number you wish to use.

Without quotation marks of course. There are more stats you can change besides this but as it stands this is the only one I cared to search for.
Zahnrad (*****deck gaming) Sep 4, 2017 @ 4:29pm
Do you know if there are any ways to artifically increase their magicka?
Zahnrad (*****deck gaming) Jul 26, 2017 @ 4:07am
Well if you ever do I'd be happy to hear it.
jrsmick  [author] Jul 25, 2017 @ 9:07pm
@Zahnrad Sorry, I have no idea how to fix that. I'd guess it has something to do with when the game decides it's time for Inigo to level up and he always chooses one armed? I honestly have no clue... Good luck.
Zahnrad (*****deck gaming) Jul 25, 2017 @ 3:05pm
Hmm...I swear I always leave him with one sword yet he still doesn't. I think I heard somewhere that Inigo has no magic stats whatsoever, do you know if there's a way I can fix that?
jrsmick  [author] Jul 24, 2017 @ 6:56pm
@Zahnrad - Also, it is totally not a question of compatibility. Inigo or any other character - whether from a mod or the game - can use spells if they want to.
jrsmick  [author] Jul 24, 2017 @ 6:54pm
@Zahnrad - Hi. Thanks for your question. A character will employ the strongest measures they have availbable to them against an enemy. Your characgter, Inigo, is probably already a powerful warrior and, as such, will not use less effective spells when already skilled at using weapons. If you really want - you can force your Inigo to use spells by taking away his weapons. HTH
Zahnrad (*****deck gaming) Jul 23, 2017 @ 9:56am
Is it possible to make this compatible with Inigo? I mean, he 'learns' them but he never uses them (if he can.)
jrsmick  [author] Nov 11, 2016 @ 8:44pm
@hwl4641 - Perhaps I can find some clever way to add that functionality into this mod. Will take a look when time allows.
jrsmick  [author] Nov 11, 2016 @ 8:40pm
@hwl4641 - I use some mod which - among other things - allows to view this information. Unfortunately, right at this moment, I am unsure of which mod is responsible. When time allows I will try to determine the responsible mod and get back to you. Alternately you can use the command line - which is clumsy, of course.
hwl4641 Oct 7, 2016 @ 3:56pm
Is there a way to see what spells your followers have learned so far?
theozian1 Aug 12, 2016 @ 5:39am
But can they transmiute?
J_timberfake Aug 7, 2016 @ 2:10pm
ohhhh cool cool
jrsmick  [author] Aug 7, 2016 @ 10:00am
@eepicfroyo Are you casting on a Follower? The Sorcerer's Apprentice spell may only be cast on a Follower.
J_timberfake Jul 30, 2016 @ 10:31pm
it doesnt work on anyone everyone resist it no matter how many times i try
jrsmick  [author] Dec 9, 2015 @ 9:52am
@madivri and @Darth Gaia - Thank you both very much. A pleasure to hear from you. Enjoy!
madivri Dec 7, 2015 @ 6:01pm
Been using this mod for quite a while. Works great. I've noticed that I can have my animal companions learn spells as well, even though they obviously can't use them. But I think it would be awesome to see flames or lightning shooting out of my snow-fox's mouth! Anyway, good mod.
Darth Gaia Nov 15, 2015 @ 12:57am
thank you very much, i love this mod when the jutsu and necromancy mods are added it makes things very interesting.....but if they conjure the permanent undead with the naruto jutsu mod they dont unsummon them now i have 150 dragon preists following me lol
jrsmick  [author] Nov 14, 2015 @ 9:05am
@Darth Gaia - You can do it in two steps. Open the console by typing the ~(tilde) key.
Type: help "sorcerer's apprentice" - exactly the way I did with double quotes and appostrophe.
Hit enter key, and if you entered that text string correctly you will see a BOOK entry followed by an eight character id.
Now type: player.additem <id> 1 - where <id> is replaced with the eight character id noted above. For example: player.additem 4C0058DA 1
That will do it. Good luck. Have fun!
Darth Gaia Nov 13, 2015 @ 5:58pm
how can i manually spawn the note i did not get it when the game started
Mewtooo Aug 23, 2015 @ 11:27am
makes sense.
at least its not like left for dead where every two seconds the ai is using the medpacks,
jrsmick  [author] Aug 23, 2015 @ 8:39am
@mewtooo - It's a good question. And I too would have liked to see my Follower become a battle field medic. The problem is simply that they will not do it. There is nothing in the AI that motivates an NPC to heal the Dragonborn. You are Dragonborn, after all, right? LOL. Seriously though, I only excluded those spells that a Follower will not or should not cast. Currently I am mulling over excluding all summon spells. My experience is that the melee crush is already so crowded that adding more contestants via summons is simply asking for more grudge matches. What really irks me (and amazes me) is when a battle is over and then a Follower must battle their own summoned creature! That is just ridiculous.....
Mewtooo Aug 23, 2015 @ 12:05am
So why can't they learn Healing Hands. Maybe I want a female nurse to follow me around...
...now I just need a nurse's outfit mod.
She will go nicely with my librarian follower who carries only my books and scrolls.

@King Tuna Sandvich III - Paragraph 1 above.
jrsmick  [author] Jun 27, 2015 @ 2:31pm
@kanidd {KcK} (keɛks #1) - OK. I'm glad for you. Enjoy!
kanidd Jun 27, 2015 @ 2:29pm
ok. it somehow was not checked. it's all good now. thanks!
jrsmick  [author] Jun 27, 2015 @ 2:23pm
@@kanidd {KcK} (keɛks #1) - Run Steam launcher. Click the 'Data Files' button. Scroll through list to find mod and put tick in check box for it.
jrsmick  [author] Jun 27, 2015 @ 2:22pm
@@kanidd {KcK} (keɛks #1) - Normally launching game via steam launcher has no ill effect. I do it sometimes just for debugging reasons. That really should not be the cause of yoru problems. The only result will be that SKSE and the mods that use it will not be working, but the game should be fine otherwise.
kanidd Jun 27, 2015 @ 2:21pm
wheres the check box at?
kanidd Jun 27, 2015 @ 2:21pm
still not finding it. just not there.
jrsmick  [author] Jun 27, 2015 @ 2:18pm
@kanidd {KcK} (keɛks #1) - Hum. Don't know what to tell you. If files are present, and the check box next to mod name has tick - mod should be active and typing help should do it. You typed exactly what I wrote? Try this. From ingame console just type: help sorcerer. You will have a lot of items so use page up key to scroll to top. Look for spell. Unless something is crazy wrong it should be there.
kanidd Jun 27, 2015 @ 2:17pm
yes I normally launch through SKSE but messed up and launched the game through Steam, which is when i had to resubscribe to all but 5 or 6 of my mods to get them to load. but it says Apprentice is loading and up to date.
jrsmick  [author] Jun 27, 2015 @ 2:14pm
@kanidd {KcK} (keɛks #1) - I just got over episode with steam launcher. On start up would sit on first mod for a long time, then notify that mod #38 was up to date. And then continuing very erraticly after that. New mods would not get installed. I went to Steam acct via web browser, not steam, and got rid of all saved data and then rebuilding - a major pain - and after all that finally got launcher working normally again.
kanidd Jun 27, 2015 @ 2:13pm
.bsa and .esp are both there. It's enabled as far as I can tell. not sure what else to try. Thanks for responding though.
jrsmick  [author] Jun 27, 2015 @ 2:10pm
@kanidd {KcK} (keɛks #1) - Steam has given me terrible headaches at times. Best of luck.
the file name is jrs_sorcerer's_apprentice. Ensure you have the .esp and the .bsa for it.
jrsmick  [author] Jun 27, 2015 @ 2:07pm
@kanidd {KcK} (keɛks #1) - If that is so you do not have the mod installed. Check to make sure the .esp and the .bsa file are present. Ensure you have ticked the mod so that it is enabled. Load order of mod is irrelevant. This mod does not alter any lists - which is the problem when it comes to load order. So don't worry about that.
kanidd Jun 27, 2015 @ 2:06pm
I had the same problem with left hand rings mod, but found it on the nexus and it works through that. Maybe it's just Steam workshop acting funny.
kanidd Jun 27, 2015 @ 1:59pm
I tried resubscribing several times, and changing the order that it's in, with no luck. and the console is not finding the spell ID for it.
jrsmick  [author] Jun 27, 2015 @ 12:05pm
@@kanidd {KcK} (keɛks #1) - You must have done something odd with your uninstall/reinstall. Anyway - open the console and type this exactly: help "sorcerer's apprentice" - then hit enter. You now see the spell id. Now type: player.addspell theSpellId where theSpellId is replaced by the spell id you saw earlier. Those are zeroes, not ohs. Hope this helps.
jrsmick  [author] Jun 27, 2015 @ 11:43am
@kanidd {KcK} (keɛks #1) - Hum. Sorry. Am looking into it for you now.
kanidd Jun 27, 2015 @ 11:41am
this was working and I love it but i had to resubscribe and reload a bunch of my mods and now i cant get the apprentice spell to show up any more.

@Soulgriffon - LOL!!! Thanks for making my day! Have a good one.

id probably kill my followers if they learned too much lol
