Sable has been released!
I did actually notice this after I ported Laurie that I forgot about the bones for the hair. I've already went ahead and organised the rig for Sable to include the bones for her default/prestige hair. I'll be doing the same thing for Unknown's Cheerleader cosmetic (particularly because its default hair is too short to have movement). I'll likely go back and fix Laurie's rig for her default hair while I'm at it.
Honestly the only request I still wanna do at least for sable, if possible can we have at least for some haircut the animation that comes with it ? Because personnaly it was something I really liked from Cozy Chicken models and I think for character with longer hair like her it's better But don't worry I totally understand that I might be asking too much and also understand that in the future you might need to do recolor or outfit packs, it's totally normal ^^
Just keep doing what you are because it's already amazing and take all the time you need ^^
Aw thank you, that sounds so great to hear honestly. I always make sure my ports have a few outfits with them so people can mix and match without having to install anything extra. Unfortunately I have to limit the amount due to SFM material constraints, so in the future I'll likely have to do outfit and recolour packs. When that time comes, I'll add a blank to bodygroups to make mixing easier.
Blender to SFM isn't too difficult, so long as you have the right tools and a Blender update doesn't destroy add-ons, but it is VERY time consuming in terms of transferring textures and materials, especially the newer/reworked characters because their materials are far more nuanced (Sable, Quentin and Laurie all have their hair coloured in engine).
Don't worry it's normal to take a break and I kinda know what it's like to have a burn out about something so it's a good thing you did, and I hope on the personal side that things are better now and that everything is ok.
I was asking because your model are in great quality and to be honest people like you that actually import characters with their outfit help me a lot because I'm using those models for animation and to be honest importing them myself on blender into sfm kinda scares me so you're totally a life saver, right now I'm working on an animation where I used your laurie model and I planned to put you in the source of the video when it will come out to give you the credits you deserve for your amazing work.
Keep this up and don't overwhelm yourself too much and excited to see sable and the unknown in the near future ^^
I took a break from 3D work out of burnout and personal issues. I plan to port Sable and The Unknown within this month, but I can't promise anything.
@hi i am here
The Doctor will be ported later down the line alongside Nea.
P.S.: I might have the same SFM dbd model for Nea I found years ago online as Maxi pointed out, but it's greatly outdated in terms of texture and rig. But keep importing the models you want, your work is very much appreciated!
THERE'S NO NEA MODEL? Dang, I assumed we had every survivor up to Mikaela, I never thought to check the more older characters.
Moving Nea further up my to-do list!!
Thanks, although the only updated ones I had in mind were Laurie and Quentin since they were changed so drastically. Are the old models for the other characters changed in the 2022 update really that bad?
I'm not taking requests at the moment, since I now intend to push out the characters that never got ported first, starting with Sable and The Unknown, and then Jonah and The Artist. However, if the models for the old characters really are worse than i remember, I might change my plans.
