@Darnexx
This mod is designed to simplify mod sorting, and in most cases, automatic sorting is sufficient. However, some mods may simply not specify certain dependencies, which may cause the sorting for that mod to be incorrect and require manual adjustments.
Darnexx Nov 30 @ 6:50am
If I understand this correctly, this Mod does sort my Mods in the correct way they should be?
Is there any "me having to look over it" or does it work flawless or good enough?

이것은 가히 혁신이라고 단언할수있습니다 좀보이드 모드중 열손가락 안에 꼽는 최고의 모드 사랑합니다

wow i just noticed you added the category changer & a couple other things :) so good! i'm putting together my first big modlist & was so overwhelmed. the info in the description & this addon is really helping me troubleshoot. tysm!
supernova backshots Sep 7 @ 12:13am
Found out why: This addon is failing to put it's priority directly after Mod Manager, and is putting many mods ahead of it like KI5's mods.
supernova backshots Sep 6 @ 11:21pm
Sort button is missing now.
Xordaii Aug 16 @ 4:24am
"All you need to do is enable the mod, go to the mods load order and click on the “Sort” button at the bottom of the screen.
PROFIT!"

There is no sort button.
Proximitive Aug 13 @ 12:45pm
this is not the fault. Its mod manager not this one. Im so mad
Proximitive Aug 13 @ 11:10am
Whenever you open up the load order sorter, it resets everything to before you sorted it manually. You can only use this if you are using the auto sorter.

@Ghastly
There is no sorting rules editor in this mod (for b41 game version).
it is only possible to manually edit the sorting_rules.txt file (see the discussion "Sorting rules")
Ghastly Jul 23 @ 1:19pm
Maybe I should specify that I use Mod Manager: Load From Collection
Ghastly Jul 23 @ 1:19pm
Where is the button for adding sorting rules?
Adam Jul 16 @ 12:53pm
I had some crap enabled that I didn't realize. This mod works great!

Oh haha, i didnt realize it was an attachment link, silly me. Thank you for the confirmation!
REfRigERatoR  [author] Mar 25 @ 10:53am
the mod on this page is only for version b41.
under the text "The mod version for build 42 of Project Zomboid" there is a link to the mod version for b42
Esorae Mar 25 @ 9:04am
"The mod version for build 42 of Project Zomboid" Im sorry, i dont fully understand this phrase, does this mean this mod is for B42 and wont work on B41?
REfRigERatoR  [author] Mar 17 @ 10:25am
@Meldok
Hello!
No. This mod is not designed to work with a dedicated server.
You can use the mod loading order from the game client to transfer it to your dedicated server.

@REfRigERatoR

Hello! do I need to turn it on in my dedicated server mods? Or just in my single mods window just to calibrate server options?
REfRigERatoR  [author] Mar 13 @ 12:27am
@Choko
if the mod is really activated, then in b42 you should notice the changes. a mod search field should have been added, as well as a new button for each mod on the right side to open the sorting rules editor (see screenshots). if this did not appear, perhaps you did something wrong. make sure that you are really working with b42 (the game version is written in the main menu on the bottom right)
Choko Mar 12 @ 3:42pm
@REfRigERatoR I'm sorry I posted in the wrong place, I'm asking about B42! The thing is, I really don't see the difference! When I activate it, everything seems to remain the same. I unsubscribed to see if the colors would change or something, but it's still the same, and I still have the 'auto' option in the vanilla priority order list vanilla
REfRigERatoR  [author] Mar 12 @ 3:15pm
@Choko
after activating the mod, a "sort" button should appear in the mod load order menu, by clicking on which automatic sorting will be performed taking into account all dependencies and sorting rules.
Main menu -> Mods -> mod load order -> Sort
You may need this mod if you play with a large number of mods and do not want to manually correct mod load order.
Choko Mar 12 @ 2:30pm
Sorry if it's something obvious, but I'm confused about how this mod works. I activate it in the list, and then what should I do? Seriously, I'm sorry, it's probably too obvious and I'm just not seeing it
Primedew Feb 28 @ 8:23pm
went back to b41 because my experience was stale...but i was expecting this mod to have the load before, after and incompatible with options like the b42 version
FeeNiX Feb 24 @ 3:57pm
@DNGR_ZON3_ I think that is more functionality of enhanced load order? Either way, that ability would be a godsend.
DNGR_Z0N3_ Feb 11 @ 8:35pm
This is a great QOL mod. It makes something that is endlessly tedious less endlessly tedious. Thank you for making it.
The way it sorts the mods is a but weird and fine tuning the load order is still very time consuming, especially with a lot of mods to go through.
Would it be possible for you expand the manual features for tuning the order, such as a cut/paste, multi-select and/or click & drag feature, please???
REfRigERatoR  [author] Feb 9 @ 3:42am
You're amazing. Thanks for the update! :8bitheart:
REfRigERatoR  [author] Jan 28 @ 1:12pm
NEW UPDATE:

added parameters loadFirst and loadLast to sorting rules. Possible values:
1) on - applies to the entire mod list.
2) category - applies to all mods in one category
3) off - disabled

sorting rule example:
[ModId1]
loadFirst=on
[ModId2]
loadLast=category
[ModId3]
loadFirst=category
[ModId4]
loadLast=on
Awesome, with the release of Vehicle Class Expansion and Spongie's Customizeable Characters, I had to make a long list of "loadAfter"s for both, so having that new feature would help a lot!
REfRigERatoR  [author] Jan 26 @ 6:31am
@StirFriedNoodles
theoretically possible) I've already thought about these options too.
I'll see what I can do with this when I have free time
Would it be possible to add a list of "load first" and "load last" mods in the sorting_rules.txt file?
REfRigERatoR  [author] Jan 11 @ 1:22am
@carguycoop
not sure if this makes sense, since build 42 already has its own mod sorting algorithm (not sure how well it works).
but anyway, my mod requires updating the dependent mod "ModManager" by NoctisFalco
carguycoop Jan 10 @ 1:22pm
will this be updated for B42?
DaBarsus Dec 21, 2024 @ 9:42pm
Can't see the main menu after installing it, any help?
REfRigERatoR  [author] Dec 16, 2024 @ 11:07am
@b3r3ns
in the main menu, go to mods.
enable mods: "mod manager" and "mod manager: load order sorter" and apply changes. You will be returned to the main menu.
go to mods again, the mods window should change, go to the mod loading order and check if the "sort" button appears at the bottom of the window. if not, then move "mod manager: load order sorter" to the bottom of the list, then apply changes and check again.
b3r3ns Dec 16, 2024 @ 7:41am
I've subscribed Mod Manager: Load Order Sorter in Steam workshop.
But I can't see this mod in a game :(
Anyone some ideas why?
REfRigERatoR  [author] Dec 8, 2024 @ 4:28am
@Noreen_Allen
Thanks for the feedback.
can you tell me your list of mods with localization that were not placed at the bottom of the mod loading list?
perhaps there is a problem with determining the category specifically for your localization mods, since I have it provided that mods with translation should be placed at the bottom of the mod loading list
Noreen_Allen Dec 8, 2024 @ 4:15am
Very good, thanks a lot. Previously there were 6 errors with manual sorting, now there is only an amazing 1. Personally, I feel the shortcoming is that you can't put the localization class at the bottom, as this class usually has to be at the bottom for it to work correctly
REfRigERatoR  [author] Dec 2, 2024 @ 12:16am
ok, that's another matter.
My mod helps in sorting mods with dependencies, and also groups them by categories.
In your case, you want to sort a collection of maps, and probably the correct order of these maps is described somewhere in plain text. My mod will not be able to organize suchload order.
Either explicit dependencies or sorting rules are needed.
Dec 1, 2024 @ 11:33pm
forgot to include that i literally loaded a new server using the sort button, big fat error message, other attempts led to crashes
REfRigERatoR  [author] Dec 1, 2024 @ 11:03pm
changing mod load order in midgame is ALWAYS A BAD IDEA. I've written about this in the comments many times, but thanks to you I'll add it to the description, thanks.
Dec 1, 2024 @ 10:05pm
literal propaganda ↓ i was having trouble with some mods that were conflicting due to my messy manual load order, with at the time my server still working just fine, only issue bothering me was missing maps, but after i clicked the sort button, it completely ignored the mod load that most of my mods disclaim in their descriptions, a big one is that big collection of compatible maps, causing my server to completely break and crash/send an error message whenever booting it up. DO NOT TRUST THE SORT BUTTON, just do it manually.
xoraphox Nov 29, 2024 @ 6:26am
I dont often drop comments, but we were having a ton of issues trying to get our 250+ mods to work on our server. I found this, clicked SORT once, tried the server again, and everything worked flawlessly. An 8h rabbit hole fixed in 1 click. Definitely a MUST HAVE
REfRigERatoR  [author] Nov 29, 2024 @ 1:14am
@Zaidlsm
if everything is fine on the client side, then try using the "from client" button to transfer the list of current active client mods to the server
REfRigERatoR  [author] Nov 29, 2024 @ 1:12am
@Zaidism
no. this shouldn't happen. Game may be freezes for a few seconds if there are a lot of mods, but the game shouldn't stops responding.
does the game freeze only when you click the sort button in the server mod manager? or in the client side too?
ZaidIsm Nov 29, 2024 @ 12:17am
I click the sort button on mod manager: server, try to boot up the client side host server, and game stops responding. Am I doing something wrong?
